DDA Chapter 15

I am so undecided as to if we are driving or flying to Florida!

I had it in my mind that we were driving, but my wife said that we should just fly. She doesn't want me tired on vacation from driving all that way.

So, I just checked Southwest, they don't charge for checked bags, so I am thinking we might book with them.

So all you seasoned Southwest travelers, any tips I should know about?

How easy will it be for all of us to sit together? I know that you can't reserve seats in advance, and that kind of scares me. I guess I need to make sure I online check in as soon as I can so that I get a "good" number!
Sign up for their Dings. Book each leg separately. If the price drops, there is no charge to cancel and rebook. You will get a credit to use within one year from the date of the original booked ticket.

If you check in close to your 24 hr. time, you won't have any problems. As long as someone is able to sit with Leighanna, I would think that you and Angie would be okay sitting apart for 2.5 hrs.

Well, Bob and I picked at each other like a couple of chimps. But the good news is nothing was seen! Now if I can just make sure the kids are good and de-loused. :sad2:

Elizabeth - I LOVE your tree!! :goodvibes

ETA: I think we have the same entertainment center you do!

Thank you!
That entertainment center is pretty old. If I remember correctly it is something we bought at Service Merchandise that had to be assembled.

Elizabeth, I asked John to get the suitcase down and he hasn't done it yet. He has been reading the boards lately, send him a pm telling him how I need my suit case so I can start packing. His DIS name is mmexpress

Thanks. :teeth:

I'll see what I can do! ;)

Very nice.

Elizabeth, your tree looks very pretty.

Thanks for the tree compliments. We just went out looking for a topper, a wreath, and a rotating stand and we came back empty handed. The only tree stand we saw was $105. :scared:

I hope you caught the lice early enough that you won't have any more issues. :wizard:

Chuck just got done cleaning and waxing the kitchen/dining room floor. We haven't done a good job on that for way too long. Neither of us really care to mop. It looks awesome.

YAY!

Tammi or anyone who know's. How much is the carriage ride at POR? Thanks.

Well since no one is around, I will talk with ya all tomorrow.

Ours too! :goodvibes

How funny! :rotfl2: I guess if we ever switch to a flat screen TV we will have to get rid of our entertainment center. Since it is chronically coated in dust that might not be a bad thing. :rolleyes1

Heidi - John has informed me that your luggage is now accessible. ;)

TCM currently has a documentary called Age of Believing: Disney on. It is "A look at Disney's live-action feature films includes interviews with actos Kurt Russell, Dean Jones, Dick Van ****, Lesley Ann Warrne, Michele Lee and Tim Conway, plus studio executive Roy E. Disney (2008)."

I have a totally petty question....please give me honest opinions.

Without going into all the LONG and tedious details...there is an estrangement between us and Bill's oldest son. Bill is not willing to meet their demands to change the situation so we are in a state of limbo I'd say. Somehow I have a feeling that this has turned into me being the wicked stepmother....even though I have encouraged Bill and reached out to them myself...so now I am just pi$$ed to be honest,

ANYWAY.....today a Christmas card came in the mail. Addressed to Bill Najdowski & family. Not Mr. & Mrs.....not Bill & Kristine & family....

DO I HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE ANNOYED BY THAT? or am I thinking too much?

Have they ever mailed you a card before? If so how was it addressed. It is possible that they have always done it that way, but you may not have noticed since there was no estrangement at the time :confused3 More likely it was done on purpose. But why send a card if they are mad anyway?

Prime rib sounds really good!

I'd forgotten that nursing really makes you hungry! Everything sounds good to me!

I am really happy though, that I'm back to wearing my size 12 jeans. My size 10's are in the closet just teasing me. I will get back in to them, this I promise!

I'm wearing my size 12 jeans again too  Of course I didn't just have a baby so I have no excuse. Guess what why New Year's Resolution will be this year?

I love SW. You've gotten great advice already. Check in at your 24 hour mark and all will be fine :thumbsup2 You can't beat the low prices and that they never change their iteneraries after booking

Here is the tree. Look quick while it is still vertical!
We put less than half of our ornaments on this time. I have strings of beads I usually use but DH hates them so he "can't find" them in the storage unit. :rolleyes1 I decided I don't like our topper, so for now the top is naked. I also need a new wreath, but the one I like is $50 so that can wait!

The tree looks great. I'm sure it feels much more like Christmas with the tree up.
