TCM currently has a documentary called Age of Believing: Disney on. It is "A look at Disney's live-action feature films includes interviews with actos Kurt Russell, Dean Jones, Dick Van ****, Lesley Ann Warrne, Michele Lee and Tim Conway, plus studio executive Roy E. Disney (2008)."

Thank you! I've Tivo'd this for the 21st now.

Is there a good online tea shop that someone has used before? I really liked the tea from the Grand Floridian and would like to get some more but don't know if one place is better than another...and there is nothing local around me (that I know of) that I now of where I can go to..

I've missed you guys. Sorry to have worried everyone.

These last few days are a blur

We got the ice storm Thursday night. That resulted in school being cancelled on Friday and we lost power from 4 AM until 7 PM. It was a very long day here, entertaining 3 boys with only a radio for entertainment. It was raining most of the day on Friday so there was no sending them outside. I did go out for about 3 hours and shoveled the heavy wet snow from our walks, in front of the doors and around our blow up decorations. My brother plowed us out. We made sure to get all the snow and ice off the cars while the temperatures were in the 40s. Late Friday afternoon the temperatures began to drop and drop they did. We haven't been out of the teens since. Anything that wasn't shoveled has now turned into solid ice. Many people are still without power and could be for days to come. Car doors have frozen shut. All of the trees are still very heavy with ice. The trees look like they are covered with lights when the sun shines on them. At first is seems so beautiful, but then you see all the branches laying on the ground and the trees bent over from the weight. There is so much devastation. Many roads are still closed today. We did not have heat as our wood furnace has electric circulators that move the water around. I never realized how airtight out house really is until Friday. Our inside temperatures dropped less than 10 degrees in 16 hours. We were so thankful to have the power back though as we were going to have to move everything in the freezer outside and figure out a way to keep the pipes from freezing. We are blessed that it doesn't happen very often around here. In fact that is the longest I've been without power in my lifetime. The boys and I (mostly Hunter and I) wrapped all of the Christmas gifts on Friday. Friday night I went out and picked up everything that I had left. We finished wrapping this morning. Now if the kids would stop changing what they ask Santa for we will be all set. The latest is new webkinz because apparently the ones we have our now called lil' kinz and they are never picked for pet of the month :confused3 I guess one more trip out will be needed.

Yesterday Chris worked 8 am - 1 pm. We got up early and put everyone through the shower (:cheer2: hot water) The boys had bowling until 11 am. We then brought presents to my parents house and they kept the boys for me since I needed to be to work at 12:30. I headed to Penney's as a shirt I bought the day before had a hole under the arm:headache: I had just gotten to the store when my boss called. There had been a miscommunication and the party was going to be an hour earlier. So I finished at the store and rushed to work. We had a private party during the day then I switched to hostess for the night. We were super busy (of course since I was hourly :upsidedow ) Somehow I managed to get everyone seated in a timely manner and even had the reservations sat on time. That was no easy feat with all the large parties that we had and the fact that the power company employees came in in groups of 4 - 8 every few minutes. They need to eat and get back to work, the Christmas parties needed to be seated and we had plenty of walk in business. Needless to say I was exhausted by the time I walked in at 11 pm last night. I really wanted to stop by, but I knew that if I did I would have to catch up and I would never go to bed.

This morning I slept in as the 2 youngest stayed at my parents last night. Chris and Nick were building a model together. We ended up cleaning the house up a bit then headed to Chris' mother's house. He finally got the car ready for her. She liked it (hopefully she will pay him back sooner than later). We picked up some groceries on the way home. Then we made dinner (Spaghetti and meatballs with garlic monkey bread). We sat down and watched Hancock while we ate. I finished watching the movie while reading here. The boys are now watching Horton Hear at Who. The Suvivor finally will be on soon.

We bought the stuff to make the chocolate pretzels, but I think that might be our only Christmas baking this year. If I make it we will eat it and we don't need it.

We don't have many plans for Christmas this year. My mother's extended family is not having a family get together this year. They have gotten together every year since way before I was born. No one wants to host it and they are unwilling to chip in a few buck each to rent a hall so that ends a tradition. My mother was hoping to have their tree Christmas Eve, but my SIL is having her parents and grandmother come for Christmas and even though they have no plans for Christmas Eve she couldn't possibly leave them. That means we need to do my parent's tree Christmas morning and ours sometime later in the day. We haven't talked to Chris' mother about her plans yet as we weren't sure about ours until a few hours ago.

Colby is teasing to go to Santa's Village

I'm toying with taking him next Sunday. It will depend on my schedule and the weather. It is about 2 hours drive from here.

Deb - I am glad you guys were able to stay warm during the power outage! Hopefully the area will be able to bounce back fairly quickly! :wizard:

I order from here all the time. I like their tea a lot. Check out the little IngenuiTEA gadget...it works great!!

the have NEVER addressed it like that before...it was always Bill & Kristine...clearly it is a statement

Have they ever mailed you a card before? If so how was it addressed. It is possible that they have always done it that way, but you may not have noticed since there was no estrangement at the time :confused3 More likely it was done on purpose. But why send a card if they are mad anyway?

Glad you guys are OK Deb!!!!

Our weather craziness has begun...it is almost 50 degrees here now....and it is dropping to 18 in the next few hours....rain, snow & ice coming...the wind right now is rattling the whole house.

Have I mentioned that I hate this weather!!

The party sounds like it was fun, though! And I am glad you get to see a holiday concert today!

It was awesome! Pops Orchestra, May Festival Chorus, some kids dancing, Madcap puppet theater, some adults dancing, some audience singing, some "famous" (B-list at best) people singing....

And Toyota's Trumpet-Playing Robot! :teeth:

Elizabeth, I love the tree! I hope it isn't as big a hassle with the cats as you fear! :goodvibes

That's kind of how ours is, too. Right now - WITH 40mph wind gusts - it still feels nice enough for short sleeves. My car said it was 56 degrees on the way home from church tonight! :faint:

Tomorrow, ice and snow.

All right, thanks for not posting a ton. I am having a REALLY hard time tonight as the girls approach 6 months. I don't think I'm allowed blaming it on hormones anymore, but I'm a disaster. I think I need to veg for the night, and hope tomorrow brings a less emotional me. I'm a basket case!

Take care, and have a great night!

We have a new tea store at our mall called Teavana. I don't know anything about it though. You might want to Google that.
