My mother drives me absolutely bananas. She asked what they could get the kids for Christmas. Probably like many of your kids, the last thing they need is more toys. I told her they've mentioned wanting a trampoline for the back yard. We have the perfect place for it. So I tell her and then all I hear is how they aren't getting that. The kids will get hurt. They knew a kid that broke her leg on one. Yadayadayada. Mom says she would feel so guilty if they got one and one of my kids got hurt. Yet she's bought them skateboards and rollerblades. It just annoys me to no end when they ask what to get, I tell them, and then they tell me that my kids don't need it or it's a bad idea. Other famous lines I've heard from them regarding other suggestions are "what are they going to do with that" or "what do they want one of those for" or "they don't need that". Makes me nuts!
Could one of our mature mother's with older children explain this behavior to me???

Yes, I do have my airhead moments.

I have been that way for a few months. I had been down in the upper 170s. I have still lost over 40 pounds, but I hate that I had to get new pants. I am blaming it on my injured foot, but honestly that just added on to a previous gain.

Tomorrow I'm doing a Thanksgiving craft project with Colby's class before my drug test. Friday I am spending the entire morning with Colby's class. We will finish up the crafts, have art class and whatever else. His teacher was out on Monday and will be out tomorrow. Her FIL was diagnosed with a brain tumor on Monday and they are removing it tomorrow. She was uncertain if she would be able to come in on Friday and the regular classroom sub (who was Nick and Hunter's Kindergarten through 2nd grade teacher) can't cover Friday. She was happy to know that I would be there in case she can't be.
Hope you're feeling better today.
DH's meeting about it starts at 1 PM.
