Elin - I hope your achiness goes away soon.

Jen - that's what sucks about vacations - going home! :wizard: that you get your luggage soon. Like tomorrow!

I swear I can't stand teaching the same songs over and over too! :rotfl2:

Hope it went well!

Kathy (the girl's teacher) usually does better than this about making sure there isn't the same song.

It was okay, a lot less mistakes than usual at the fall recital but everybody made boo boos

Looks like they had a good time. What did they play?

it was pop themed

Cassidy did Phantom theme (the one song played 3 times!!) and Jesus Christ Superstar. Abi was Colors of the Wind and Titanic love theme.

Abi really has a true born with it talent where Cassidy works very hard with her musical talent to make it better. Cassidy will use one of those pieces for her pit orchestra audition on piano and for flute she will choose a piece from the book we picked up yesterday. They are doing Pirates of Penzance:goodvibes

Well I am home..I had a great trip and do not want to be home at all! The airline also lost my luggage-ugh! of coruse, my teacher manuals are in there...figures!

but im home and tired so i tihnk its time for bed

oh dear!! I hope your luggage turns up.

Tammi - Sounds like a good weekend, even though it was short!

Jen - Welcome home! I hope your luggage turns up soon! :wizard:

Elin - Glad to hear everyone liked your hair!

How fortunate are we that we can't think of anything we need or even particularly want for Christmas? We are a very lucky bunch! :goodvibes

I'm too tired to think much so I'm going to say, "Ditto!"

I think you're right about us being lucky, Elizabeth. That's truly it. I don't really need anything and have enough stuff that I don't really feel the need to add to it. That's why the last year or two I've asked for Disney money most of the time. That's the one thing that I really want to do and it doesn't add clutter, etc. (Plus, I would love to be able to take advantage of the Feb deal since for just two of us the room discount makes it a better deal than for bigger families). I've gotten some grief though for not having things for people to shop for me and the fun of that so I'm trying to come up with ideas. Plus, my in laws spend more than I'm comfortable asking for so I have to figure out what I would really like that would be closer to their spending goals without feeling like I'm asking too big.

Well, we at least managed to get the holiday season scheduled out today. I think we've fit in most of the activities we want to do - Christmas lights display, visiting historic Christmas area, church stuff, etc - and making it to most to all of us interested can fit them all in. Not a usual thing, but I think it's cause we're talking about it in early Nov and not the week of any one event.

Then, since Kristi's family is ending up not going to CA for Christmas, I've got a little bit of lament going that we will be gone. I know that we need to see Phil's family too for the holiday sometimes and we are staying with my best friend so we'll have a fun Christmas morning with them, but I'll still miss being here. Added to that the strong possibility that Phil won't be able to get out there with us and it's a hard choice.

I guess I am going to go find my medicine and see if taking it right before bed heads off any of the morning nastiness this time. I really like that I feel find the majority of the day, but that first hour or so in the morning of yuckiness is really not fun either.

hmm I might have to try to hit some of the consignment shops this week. I would love to get that toy for Virginia for a good deal.

Theresa & Robyn thanks for sharing your pictures!

Tammi glad you found the furniture you want for Nicholas room.

Deb :yay: for getting a start on Christmas shopping!

Elin I hope the motrin helps your back, my whole body is aching right now.

Jen glad you made it home safely, hope your luggage shows up soon :wizard:

Becky I wold love to meet you if you decide to go in March :thumbsup2

Work went by pretty quickly tonight, thank goodness! I need to get some sleep, morning will come to early.

:thumbsup2 very cool! I like themed recitals sometimes too, but the threat of having the same song over and over is scary too. I refused to teach Carol of the Bells this year because I just can't add any more renditions of it, or Vince Guaraldi's Christmas Time is Here, to our three private recitals.

I hope your new routine of meds-taking worked for you and this morning is not too bad, Tia!

I see you posted this sometime after 1:00 a.m. I hope you didn't have to go in early this morning too, Janet!

We're off to the eye doctor's for Hunter. Maybe we'll discover the root of his headaches :headache: I am working at 4 tonight too. The school called this morning even though I had told them that I couldn't sub today or tomorrow. It would have been fun too, I could have been the PE teacher.
Oh well, I'm just glad that opportunities keep presenting themself.

Have a great day.

Our temperatures have certainly dropped. Highs this week in the low to mid forties with below freezing at night

We could even have snow flurries. I guess we may really find out how that furnace works.
