Yuck, I saw the 4 letter s word. It is only October. So much for global warming. ;) I am just glad the rain did not freeze on contact.

I hope no one lost power in this wacky weather, or had damage from all the wind.

Theresa- Hugs to you.:wizard:  I hope wherever life leads you, is to much happier and more fulfilling times for you and your girls. Remember everything happens for a reason. Although sometimes the reason is unclear for awhile.

What are you and your girls' favorite colors??

Deb-:wizard:  to you and your family

Elin- :wizard:  to Kathrin, hope the job hunt goes well

Kristine- Good luck to Bill with his Root Canal. Medical expenses are outrageous and insurance is crazy.

That reminds me I have to call my insurance company and the medical supply store about my foot. I specifically called and told the medical store's answering service to have the woman call my cell phone. They called the home number, that I am never available at.:headache: The insurance wants to question about how my injury occurred.

I hope that everyone who is sick feels better soon.

Once again it is 1am and I am still ready to go. I have to finish my plans for all of my service units by Friday. I have hardly looked at them, as I have been dealing with present problems and issues and have not been able to look into the future to create these plans. I have a meeting again tomorrow night, well actually tonight.

Night everyone!

On one of the other boards I read, someone was recommending a place at SSR for us to try. When she was touting their food and service I was somewhat dismayed to find the name of the place was.......

The Turd Club. :rotfl2:  :lmao: :rotfl: (and the DIS censors didn't catch it!)

 Yum!

Good morning.

Great start to the TR Deb.

Good Morning.

Beth hope you feel better soon :wizard:

Kristine hope all went well with Bill's dental work :wizard:

Theresa sorry for what you are going through right now

I know I have missed a lot as I have just been skimming, so :wizard: & to all.

I'm sitting here crying my eyes out after watching this on Oprah,

Please be warned, you will need some tissues

Very touching. My friend had a daughter with trisomy 18 before I really knew them. Her dd never made it home from the hospital.

We were prepared to wait an hour, by the time we had invested an hour we hated to leave and start a wait somewhere else. :confused3 Had I known from the start that it would be 2 hours we would have walked away.

See, I would be the one saying that. Everyone else would be ready to cut their losses and head elsewhere.

We got one pumpkin completely carved tonight, one cleaned and the design etched on it and one hasn't been touched. Tomorrow hopefully we will get them finished. I'm going to try my hand at Debbie's Mickey head.

We are still trying to decide when to carve the pumpkins. We bought only three this year. Usually I love to have my own (more than one even) to carve, but I think we're just out of time this year. We'll just let the kids have the three that we have. Usually I do a big one, a small cat, and another small one. It will be the first year in at least 18 years that we don't have a small cat pumpkin unless I end up picking up another one today. I'm really not in the mood to carve pumpkins either...don't know why.

We went to see MIL. She is pretty upset, but was holding it together overall. She is supposed to get together with his mother and son tomorrow afternoon to discuss the funeral arrangements and division of property. They need to get the house emptied ASAP. Still no word on actual COD. They are doing an autopsie. She feels bad that she wasn't there for him at the end. I really think that it was good she left on Saturday as she had already adjusted a bit to the separation.
 for her.

We decided to put on our swimsuits and head to the pool. The weather was beautiful, though not super hot. We used the pool, hot tub and sauna.

I want to go there! I also would love to stay at the treehouse villas. I don't think either is in my near future, though.

I wish you better health, Beth. And if that is not forthcoming quickly, a nice warm bed to snuggle down under those covers!

Thanks! I woke up congested and tired this morning. I'm sure I'll feel a little better once I've been upright for a while.

sometimes it is a little too amicable....at the band concert I was sitting between Bill & Jeff....Bill talking in my right ear....Jeff talking in my left ear.....both complaining about the same darn thing...I wonder if anyone noticed my glazed look
:rotfl:

Beth hope you feel better soon :wizard:

Thanks!

Good morning, all!

So much for the kids getting home "no later than 9:30" last night! The bus didn't get back to school until 10:20! It was 10:35 PM before we got back home with DS! Now he is exhausted on top of not feeling well. :sad2:

Chat with you all later!

Speaking of Kathrin... some PD and good thoughts would be much appreciated by this old Mom.

She has her root canal done tomorrow and they will check the teeth on either side to be certain there is no further damage to them.

On Monday she has an interview with The Princeton Review. That would be the perfect match for her since the position she had in Richmond was in marketing colleges and universities. The only drawback is that she would have to drive to get to work. But her room mate is willing to let her use her car for the time being. :)

You got 'em! I hope everything goes well today.

Theresa....

In very simplistic terms...all I can tell you is that for me, getting divorced was best thing that I could of ever done. Jeff wasn't and isn't a bad guy....but it was a marriage that was not filled with any joy. If you find a way to put any fears and doubts in the back of your mind....the road that lays ahead for you will be a wonderful one...so I for one, am happy for you!!

Hang in there...it gets easier

Well said. Good luck to you Theresa. I hope you find a fantastic job that will make your decision/plans easier.

You've or rather she has all of our support :thumbsup2

The school just called and asked me to sub all day tomorrow too. I'm feeling better about things for the time being. If I can get in a good amount of subbing and continue with 2 or 3 nights at the restaurant then we should be fine. At least that is what I'm hoping.:rolleyes1 We will be fine, I just want to replenish our saving account since we bought the furnace and did an unplanned trip.

That is terrific news. Love your TR and pictures!

:rotfl: I hope Bill's dental work went well.

I bundled up for the game last night, with ski coat and Uggs. I'm sure I looked a little funny, but I was the only one not miserably cold. Jake's team lost 2-0, but they played much better than they have been. I need to get my car inspected today and get a card for Randy. Today is our 14th anniversary.

Have a good day everyone!

If he has to do this again, can he call you from the event and you pick him up from there? (If it's not too far from you, that is.) My parents always went to our games (remember I'm from a small town, so the games were always social events, plus they like sports). I loved it that the school would let us ride home with them. It takes a while to load those buses up so it really shaved some time. Maybe he could call when the game got close to the end if it's not too far away.

Morning DDA!

I'm going to enable everyone this morning! I've been dying for this one particular digital picture frame for a while now and we didn't get it from our registry. Well, we were going to break down and buy it this weekend. BUT I got an email from Kodak - they were offering it for $100 OFF!!! So I bought it! (Bob might not be happy given we also got my car fixed at a cost of $300 and bought the new fridge, but it's definately $150 well spent in my opinion!)

http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=10521/12478&pq-locale=en_US

The 10 inch digital frame is $149 and the 8 inch digital frame is $124. I love the fact that you can send pictures right to the frame without connecting it to a computer! You just upload pictures to the gallery and poof! :teeth: I know, the little things amaze me sometimes.

Have a wonderful day!!!

Theresa - more :hug:s your way. Like everyone else, I can't believe that Jim didn't think it was important to take Abi her lunch. That is unreal. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Maybe if he heard from his daughter how it made her feel having her dad decide that lunch wasn't important for her, he would wise up. Just a thought.

I wish that were the case but I know it wouldn't be.

since I've gotten my phone calls out of the way (Xcel to pay bill and put the rest on payment plan, Grandpa to get a ride to work...woke up with a migraine, LHS because Cassidy is sick and it didn't dawn on Jim to take her with him to the doctor yesterday) I better get dressed and ready to face a work day with 2 funerals within an hour of each other.

This is a request to my DDA designers.

When Stephanie and I take our trip this time, we have two times we would like to wear special matching t-shirts.

The one time is for the cruise. Somehow we wanted it to list what all we have gone thru the past year to get to the Mouse Fest cruise. booked cabin in December of 2007, posted on boards our plans, talked EVERY day at lunch about the cruise, started saving $$$ for the cruise, looked at pictures, talked every day at lunch, booked Palo, parasailing, planned our stateroom door decorations, made fish extenders, talked every day at lunch------you get the idea.

The second one is for a special meet that a lot of people who are on the Tagrel (and some DISsers too) site are participating in. It is called Capture the Magic and there are teams, and for an hour and a half we will be running all over the Magic Kingdom doing funny things and taking pictures of our adventures. It looks like such craziness after looking at last years TRs and pictures. Actually Ray Sharpton will be on our team and after hearing all about him, it looks to be a lot of fun.

Anyhooo our team name is Private Summers

I wanted a picture of a middle aged woman sitting with her feet in a bucket of ice, with a couple of fans blowing on her and maybe a fru fru drink or two on a table beside her with the team name below.

What say you????

This game was the last of the year (I HOPE!). It was at some stadium out off I-20 and Polk? DH said it is out by the distribution center, 30 minutes from here and in a very bad area. DS has never had to go to an away game before, so we had no idea it would be that late. And for home games they have never had to stay until the END of the game! I am not very happy with the band director.

since I've gotten my phone calls out of the way (Xcel to pay bill and put the rest on payment plan, Grandpa to get a ride to work...woke up with a migraine, LHS because Cassidy is sick and it didn't dawn on Jim to take her with him to the doctor yesterday) I better get dressed and ready to face a work day with 2 funerals within an hour of each other.

 Hugs to you, Theresa!

Happy Anniversary!!!!!

Happy Anniversary, Marci & Randy!

The line for early voting rivals the stand-by line at Toy Story Mania. :headache: I drove through the parking lot but there were no open spaces, which makes it difficult to park. I did manage to snag 2 pamphlets for DS's election notebook from people handing them out, so that was good.

DS has been invited to a Halloween party Friday night so now he needs a costume. I have to figure out what to wear to that party with DH next weekend. Princess needs a couple of gifts to take to birthday parties. And the mall isn't open yet! Grrrr! I guess I could go back over and see if I can find a parking, but I don't want to spend HOURS in the line to vote.

Terry...

I don't have any clip art remotely close to your description...sorry.

I love these chicks....but I know you have a vision
