im off of work tomorrow (YAY!!!) so i think im headed to bed and try to relax...i cannto be sick!!!

Goodnigh

DD and Brandon are here to spend the night. My SIL is working in Houston and they were home alone. There was a carjacking in New Orleans, well they ended up here, the car was found at the community center with a dead body and an injured person inside. They captured three of the four people but the fourth escaped into the woods, the woods that surround their house, I told her just to bring Brandon and stay here.

Yikes. I don't blame you. I hope they catch the guy soon.

I lost my voice today, too. :headache:

I've had a bad day in the baking department. Earlier this afternoon, I cracked a rectangular cake, because it hadn't cooled long enough in the pan.

And tonight, I decided to try my hand at homemade blueberry muffins for my MOPS meeting tomorrow. My brain is officially fried, because I used a mixer rather than hand-blending the ingredients, and wow, are these muffins purple!

Kevin claims they taste fine and I should serve them anyway with a sign that says, "Boo-berry muffins!" :upsidedow

Beth, you are a terrific photographer! I'm really enjoying your trip report, and I loved reading Elin's and Jennifer's, too! :)

Yep... did it last night. The first time took a little while to figure out.
Definitely not an early morning, rush out the door, type of 'do.

Believe me, lots of product went into that hair. And a few squirts of hair spray too for good measure.
I might beoverly cautious these days, but I just don't want to go through that again!

I might take up heavy drinking to go along with my "gambling"!

Tom, I hate to burst your bubble, but it will take a while for the kids to get the idea to not share combs and other things like that.

Three years after my kids went thru the problem, my daughter was with other girl scouts and even after we told the parents what to look for, the girls were still trading combs and hairbands!!!!!

Luckily I didn't lose my voice until a few hours ago, because I had the pleasure of having lunch with a young man who was my student back in '98. He was an exchange student from Germany, and we've kept in touch throughout the years. This was his first trip back to Cincinnati in ten years, and I thought it was really sweet that he wanted to catch up with me (and my three kiddos) in person. :goodvibes

Kevin only has one more session of physical therapy. His pain has subsided for the most part, but he still won't be running for a while. He's coaching soccer again, but he's being very careful.

Alyssa's last game of the season is Saturday. We're having a picnic afterwards, and I volunteered to provide the cake and cupcakes. One of these days, I'll share pictures. ;)

My apologies to those who are in a rush to pass this chapter. I was going to paste these into individual posts, but my computer is being WAY to slow for that.

Have I ever mentioned that I am afraid of the number 13? :scared:
I don't ever sit in the 13th row, I won't fly on the 13th of any month, I won't put the radio in the car on volume 13 (12 or 14, never 13), I avoid that number whenever possible.

So, chop chop, DDAers! Let's get through these 250 pages quickly!

Our flight home, I noticed that there was not 13th row. Kind of threw me off for a minute.

we bought him some cool shot glasses at WDW their is one that was a 4 pack that had 1 for each park. Then he found 2 others he liked.

Um, they're called "toothpick holders". :rotfl: Official Disney term, ya know. ;) :teeth:

we are going to my cousins and trick or treat with her girls, my Brother and nephew as well as my mom will go with us and possibly another cousin and his kids( 3 girls and 1 boy). Then we are having a halloween ball after for the girls. Just some games for the kids and healthy snacks us adults are going to dress as Disney princess and princes. Got to figure out mine and Jeffs costumes.

Weather permitting, we will trick or treat Mom and Dad's neighborhood with all of the kids. Terra says that she is now being Minnie and that I need to wear my Minnie costume as well.

There are a couple of different threads on the CB, about Halloween.

The second ask what do you hand out? I give out treat bags with bite size candy and gum, and the bags must have at least one chocolate item. This year its peanut M&M's.

We do open the door and we hand out a variety of candy. This year it will be primarily MNSSHP candy. Between our two parties we have a TON of stuff that we won't and don't need to eat. Terra picked out some of her favorites and the rest will be re-treated.

Does anyone have their Christmas Ornament for the exchange yet? I hope the stores get Christmas items out soon, because I don't .

We got all of ours at WDW. Need to finish the little additions, but we're getting there.

Welllll...
Diva was fussing about their Homecoming.
First of all, Homecoming in FL wasn't a big deal.
Homecoming in TX is a HUGE, and I mean HUGE deal. The girls get these silk mums the size of dinner plates and hang all sorts of plastic charms and crap from the ribbons that hang down from the flower. I think it is a strictly TX thing. The bigger and tackier, the better.

Aren't they just horrid looking?!?! I never did understand those things, but then I guess it's a Texas/OK Panhandle/and close neighbors kind of thing.

Olivia wanted to say hi

Terra says "Hi Olivia!!!!"

I finished up the patchwork skirts for the latest MAW Big Give. I also made a handbag for the Mom so that she can match her little ones too.

Another Diser is making the appliqued Minnie T-shirts to go with them. I couldn't find any short sleeve 4T shirts around here to save my life!

AMAZING, Tom! You did a beautiful job.

Jen-we told Cassidy that when Abi was walking we would talk about a baby brother (Abi was about a week old when Cassidy said where's brother??). We were here on vacation and Abi had just started walking and Cassidy held one of her hands and Ama held the other and she looks back to me and says "Broffer now?":lmao: That girl has a steel trap for a memory!

I don't know what we're going to do/say around here. On the bus in WDW Terra asked me if I ever wanted another baby. The real answer to that is "Yes, quite often, but Phil would never ever go for it", but I couldn't tell Terra that. So, I just said that sometimes I did. She told me that she really wants me to have another baby (something she's never really said before) and that she reallys wants to be a big sister (a totally new thought). She also told me all of the ways that she would help out. She ended with a very pleading, "Puh-lease will you really think about saying yes and having another baby." I just told her that we'd have to think about it and talk to Daddy too as he would have to want to as well. Luckily we arrived at MK right about then and I was able to avoid the question of whether Daddy wanted one.

First things first,

It's A Girl :cloud9:

YEAH!!!!!

I am so tired of looking at houses online...I need to come look at Disney stuff again!:cutie:

Good luck with all of that! I hope you find some good options and are able to get things moving quickly.

I have a vacation hangover and have been home a month.;)
...
So in 2010, I would like to spend about a month and a half on the Magic so I can visit all the ports in Europe. I will probably just end up doing the Western Transatlantic repo cruise.

Me too! (to the hangover and time on the cruise) Those trips sound so nice!

Could someone please explain to me the difference between and IPod and any other of the MP3 players? I want to get Alyssa one for Christmas. I think the Nano would be better because of the screen, but the Shuffle is more along the lines of what I want to pay. I'd also like to get her the alarm clock docking station. If I get any MP3 player, can it still be docked in an alarm clock? I would load the CDs that she currently has onto it and when anything new comes along I will probably purchase them from Itunes. I'm considering the refurbed Nano but just wanted to see what you all thought.

I'd get a cheaper version that has a screen. Rachel and I both have Sansa's and they are decent, but noticiably cheaper (perhaps good at her age). I don't have a screen and I really wish I did. Maybe not as big of a deal at her age, but I'd still go for it. I hate not being able to find a certain song if I want and would love to make playlists.

Here is the accessory pack. I know he wants it because we talked about it one day while we were shopping for something else. I can't remember why we didn't buy it that day, but I am glad we didn't! :rotfl2: I don't know enough about his cameras to choose stuff out of the blue.

Deb - Princess is a huge cake hound. She LOVES cake. :)

Sam's sells Land-O-Lakes hot chocolate packets in all different flavors. I mix them with milk and they are SOOOO good. But they have a ton of fat, sugar and calories in them, so of course they taste good! :rotfl2:

Happy birthday to DH! I am totally with you and Princess on the cake - love love love it! Had the best cake at a baby shower on Sunday. I haven't had good cake in a long time and this was heavenly. I really like the Land o Lake cocoa too. It is so yummy, but so not good for me.

Im with you---Around 2, i lost my voice alomst completely--i sound HORRIBLE! i told my kids they had to be really good because i couldnt raise my voice--they were!! They kept teling me i sounded horrible! now my voice is worse than that!

Ack! Hope you are doing better tomorrow.

I asked DH what he needs to bring on our trip. His response...His wife, as long as he has his wife she will remember everything  Then he asks me if I wished that I had a wife:rotfl:

I really wish I had a wife sometimes too.

Luckily I didn't lose my voice until a few hours ago, because I had the pleasure of having lunch with a young man who was my student back in '98. How nice! That's so sweet that he wanted to catch up with you.

One of the reasons I haven't shared pictures in a while is my laptop isn't networked to our PC right now. Kevin just bought the PC (a Dell) back in March with our tax return, and it had the nerve to crash recently. Thank goodness we have an external hard drive and Kevin constantly makes back-ups of our pictures on CD, too. Still, I'm not happy that our 8-month-old computer crashed due to a "software issue" according to the customer service guy from India. :sad2:

Noah calls...

One of these nights, he'll sleep past the two hour mark. :rolleyes1

Goodnight DDA! :wave2:

I hope everyone is feeling better in the morning.

And Marci, I'm sending you lots of :wizard: that your house decides to be happy again!

I would have said the same thing, Debbie. And I bet your DD and Brandon are glad you did!

Beth, you are a terrific photographer! I'm really enjoying your trip report, and I loved reading Elin's and Jennifer's, too! :)

Thanks, Amy. :goodvibes

bedtime.... g'night, friends! :goodvibes

And now that I finally got to post some of my responsed (I know I multi-quoted more than that, but I think I lost my window sometime this morning and lost those too), I am going to get to bed. Soooo tired! Plus, with Mom and Dad gone I have to be up with Rachel at 6. Though with the approaching holiday season Phil has to be at work earlier too so I'd have to be up not much later than that anyway. Oh well. At least I'm going to bed with visions of a somewhat tentative ticker dancing in my head. :goodvibes:

Night all!
