DDA Chapter 13

I booked the flights for August. I explained my plan to DH about checking his bag in my name and then trying to get him on our flight as a stand-by, and he thought that was good. The flights for now through January are on sale for $198 (before taxes & fees). I know from watching for DH's flights last year that the summer flights never dropped down as low as the fall & winter flights. I might have jumped the gun, but at least it is done and I don't have to stress about it. Instead of costing $842 they cost $638, which is a decent savings.

Glad you have your flights taken care of!

Im with you---Around 2, i lost my voice alomst completely--i sound HORRIBLE! i told my kids they had to be really good because i couldnt raise my voice--they were!! They kept teling me i sounded horrible! now my voice is worse than that!

Feel better soon :wizard:

DD and Brandon are here to spend the night. My SIL is working in Houston and they were home alone. There was a carjacking in New Orleans, well they ended up here, the car was found at the community center with a dead body and an injured person inside. They captured three of the four people but the fourth escaped into the woods, the woods that surround their house, I told her just to bring Brandon and stay here.

Scary, glad they are staying with you!

I lost my voice today, too. :headache:

I've had a bad day in the baking department. Earlier this afternoon, I cracked a rectangular cake, because it hadn't cooled long enough in the pan.

And tonight, I decided to try my hand at homemade blueberry muffins for my MOPS meeting tomorrow. My brain is officially fried, because I used a mixer rather than hand-blending the ingredients, and wow, are these muffins purple!

Kevin claims they taste fine and I should serve them anyway with a sign that says, "Boo-berry muffins!" :upsidedow

Hope today is better for you Amy :wizard:

Good morning...

Everyone that is sick~ :wizard: :wizard: that you start to feel better quickly.

Tom~ I hope you won big!! Love Leighanna's hair.

Debbbie~ I am glad DD and Brandon came to stay with you. How unsettling.

Elizabeth~ Happy Belated Birthday to DH. for airfare!

Marci~ :wizard: for all your house woes.

Beth~ Loved your last installment. :cheer2: for ice cream.

Relaxingtoday. No parks.
I'm going to die at MF.

I actually believe a lot of woman secretly wish they had a wife.

I asked DH what he needs to bring on our trip. His response...His wife, as long as he has his wife she will remember everything  Then he asks me if I wished that I had a wife. :rotfl:

At least I'm going to bed with visions of a somewhat tentative ticker dancing in my head. :goodvibes:

Night all!

How exciting, Tia! Somehow I missed this last night as I was reading. :yay:

No need to catch up the most pressing issue is that a bunch of the DDA are sick.

Yesterday Emma had her field trip to the Baltimore Museum of Art and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Luckily, Eric and I were able to ride on the bus. But I was correct that the chaperons picked to ride on the bus were the 3 I suspected. They always pick new chaperons for each trip, sure!! But what mattered is that we had a really nice time. Emma loved the museum. We were only there an hour so she is insistent we go back. The museum holds the largest collection of Matisse. 2 sisters from Baltimore collected them along with some Picasso's and Van Gogh's.

The concert at the symphony was really enjoyable. It was all about fairy tales and we heard Sleeping Beauty and Under the Sea. Emma was smiling the whole time. I loved going to the symphony when I was young so it was so nice to see her enjoy it just as much.

Today the girls are off school and we are headed to the farm for some apple picking with Dana and her girls. Should be a lot of fun.

Lucy had her doctor appointment on Tuesday. She weighs 20.6lbs (14th percentile) fully clothed! And she is 29.5" (21st percentile)tall. I've never had such a tiny kid. All is well though.

I make all hot chocolate with milk.

Princess goes tomorrow for hers, DS goes Saturday. I haven't scheduled mine yet.

What sort of material were you expecting? I thought they were all plastic. :confused3

Yeah for having flights!

I always need to use milk to make hot chocolate, too.
