DDA Chapter 13

The issue is that it is well-planned but not paid for. The changes I am pondering would be a significant savings: at the least we would save is $2650. That is a lot of money! Our trip last week didn't cost that much with all that signature dining!

Kristin and Bob think we ought to switch resorts. I am betting I will do so after I really crunch numbers.

OK, well, that is significant! :scared1:
I guess you can look at it as being responsible and that you can do the AKL CL trip in the future. :)

Well this was fun!!!! And I took up almost two pages :rotfl:

Thank you, Terry! :rotfl2:

Princess and I are having a screening of Sleeping Beauty and eating lunch from Wendy's. :goodvibes
We found a princess dress for her to wear for Halloween, but it isn't any specific princess. It was the only dress in the store that was short enough not to drag the ground.

I called and switched DH to the 3:20 PM flight coming back, so if DS and I go on the 12:20 PM flight it isn't THAT long before DH's flight. The best case would be that the price would drop on the 3:20, or that the 12:20 would come up as being available on miles. But American doesn't do price adjustments and the hold is only valid for 24 hours, so I will have to decide something by tomorrow.

Sleeping Beauty and Wendy's sounds marvelous!!:goodvibes I have a question...since you don't cook what do your charges normally have for their meals with you.

It seems all I do when I come on anymore is moan and groan about my job....but I would love all the spare pixie dust you have. I hate the internet sometimes...the jobs I have been applying to go through a third party site before they even see my resume. On 6 of the jobs, I know that I have made it through to the point where they see my resume. I would love for any of these jobs to work out.

I know that I am lucky in that I have a job...but when it takes an hour to psych myself to go into work and an hour to decompress after it just doesn't seem worth it.

For breakfast we have fruit, yogurt, cereal, granola bars, etc. I can do Eggo waffles or microwave pancakes but Princess isn't a big breakfast eater. For lunch we do sandwiches or fast food (usually just once a week for fast food). I usually don't have to make dinner for Princess because she likes to eat with her parents.
When I had Brother & Sister they would have hot dogs, fish sticks, soup, pot roast (that you heat in the microwave), pizza, Spaghettios, that sort of thing. I don't COOK cook, but I can manage enough "kid food" that nobody starves! :rotfl2:

I'm sorry the job front is still bleak! Have you looked into a temp agency? My friend did a temp-to-perm assignment at Tiffany's (in the office, not in sales) and it turned into an awesome job! I hate looking at jobs online. :headache:

Okay, so I went back and put in bold my one word answer :lmao: :rotfl:

You know what I think? I think I will book through Orbitz!
There is a small booking fee ($7 per ticket) BUT if someone else books tickets through them for less money on the same flights I will get a refund of the difference.
There USED to be a 500 mile bonus on American for booking at AA.com but I just read that they discontinued that! It also says they won't give you a refund unless the price of the flight drops more than the cost of the change fee, which used to be $50. So if the flight dropped $60 I would get a whopping $10 back. And that's only if the change fee is still $50 and not higher.
With Orbitz if the price drops more than $5 you get the difference refunded after you complete the trip. The catch is that someone else has to book those exact flights through Orbitz at the lower price. If I just happen to SEE that the price has dropped it doesn't count.

Decisions, decisions...

Well for what its worth...
As you know we had my beloved BC booked for August 2008...we changed to POR to save some money. Now POR is no BC but we had a wonderful trip & made alot of happy Disney memories. I would have chosen BC if money was no object but quite honestly we had a great time because we were at Disney & together.:flower3:

Good luck with your decision.

Elizabeth,
Thanks for asking DS.

Elin,
Beautiful pictures...I would keep Dec in place since its all planned.

Beth,

Tom,
Nice creations!

:wizard: to everyone!

I was at Best Buy today and they had an entire display set up for RockBand. There was a drum set, guitar and a few other things. It looks like a lot of extra pieces of large equipment must be bought and then stored for that game. Guitar Hero just has the Guitar. Aerosmith is only one version available. That is the version that we gave Nick, but my DB has a different version.

Elin I would probably go with saving money, but on the other hand...the things you've planned may not always be available and the prices certainly won't go down. Big Help aren't I

I *THINK* Guitar Hero for the Wii system is only available in the Aerosmith version. The earlier versions are for the other game systems.

Now...how the heck are we going to get through this chapter fast if there is an hour or more between posts??:confused3 :lmao:

For those who have read the Twilight series...were you as disappointed with the end as I was...espescially Jacob??

Theresa - Haven't read it. :confused3

I told DS to call me after school so I would know roughly what his plan is. He did NOT want me to pick him up and take him back to school for the football game - he wanted to stay there. It has been an hour since school got out and I haven't heard from him. He BETTER be in the band room or in math tutoring or he will be in LARGE trouble. Of course DH is still at work. Convenience store routes are decidedly NOT convenient! :headache:

Oh, so maybe Guitar Hero might be better for us...Thanks!

Ok we have Wii so that will work! Thanks!

I think your DS is my husband's mini me...and for that I am so, so sorry!!

His phone is on "silent", so he won't be able to hear it. We never set up his voice mail, so nobody can leave a message. I have texting disabled because we figured if the phone got lost or stolen we didn't want it to be used for texting. We get charged per text because it isn't part of our rate plan, and the charge includes INCOMING texts, even if you don't read them. None of his friends are supposed to have his cell number, but in the event that the number ever did get out I didn't want anybody to be able to text him. :headache:
