DDA Chapter 13

No school and no work for me tomorrow. YAY! I need to take the kids for haircuts tomorrow, and return shoes and an outfit for Alyssa. Then maybe we can do something fun, like decorate for halloween or go to the pumpkin patch.

That sounds like fun!

Tomorrow is a pretty standard day for me. One of the girls who was a nanny back when I got my very first job is in town. I saw her briefly on Friday, and some of us are supposed to go to dinner tomorrow.
Tuesday we're taking DS and Princess to the Fair. Shhh. It's a surprise for DS. We're letting him skip school.

So we headed to get food. We wanted to go to Parrot Cay as it would be much easier for me to handle since we can put bags down and then go to the buffet and get food. Much easier with a wheelchair or crutches. However it was full and would be a wait so we headed up to Beach Blanket Buffet. A nice cast member helped us with our trays to a table.

It was pretty empty when we got there

After lunch we wandered around the ship for awhile. Taking in the sites of the Port of Los Angeles.

Before long it was time to head to our room

Becky, hang in there! I've found in my life that the unexpected turns up when I'm not looking for it (at least that's how I got my job at Princeton and how I met Kevin ).

I appreciate all of your well-wishes and your sympathy for Matty's latest stage. After the last time and the drama over throwing his pillow away, I naively thought I convinced him to keep his diaper on. Silly me, he's two. Duct tape is going on the grocery list!

Noah's portraits are rescheduled for tomorrow, after ballet, so I'm going to try to get a few hours sleep. Kevin just took a Benadryl, so I doubt he'll hear anything tonight.

Amy - Definitely use the tape. You can also try putting his diaper on backwards, or putting him in a onesie under his clothes (If you can find one that fits him), or putting a Pull Up over his diaper. The more difficult and confusing you can make it for him to get everything off the less likely he is to be successful! Do you still have a monitor in his room? Of course if he is quiet when he is making poo art the monitor won't help much, but I can tell a lot about what Princess is doing by listening to her monitor.

The problem with backwards onesies is that the neck may come up too high. If the neck isn't too tight then it's definitely an option!

No wonder I am paranoid about DS going to sleepovers. The news is just frightening!

Yesterday a woman drove her car into a house. The car landed on a guy sleeping in his bed. The guy was trapped, severely burned by the car, and is now hospitalized. The woman just got out of jail in July. She likes to drive drunk.

A teenage boy went to toilet paper his ex-girlfriend's house and was stabbed to death by the girl's new boyfriend. Talk about something that ruins a bunch of lives. So sad.

I saw gas yesterday for $3.25. On the news this morning they said it is under $3 at some stations in Ft. Worth.

I paid 2.71 tonight at walmart

Hey strangers. Been lurking lately and hope all is well with y'all. Have some exciting news however. Mya got a call last week from Make A Wish and they will be coming TOMORROW to talk to her about her wish.

Right now it's to have Hannah Montanah introduce her to all the Princess at DisneyWorld, but I think we might remove the Hannah part and settle for a some personal time with Ariel. We will see what she say's tomorrow.

DS finally heard from his friend. They weren't putting our e-mail in correctly, and I guess it wasn't bouncing back so they didn't know we didn't have the address. Anyway, we just dropped him off. I am out the door now to go babysit!

so we decided to do Lasagna, Spaghetti, salad and garlic toast for the party Sat. along with cake and ice cream.

Well they came and we forgot to take pictures. Rats. Mya was quite shy at first, but then I had her show them her room. That opened the gates of conversation and she was all talkative then. We spoke with John while Paula started asking Mya about her wish. I was surprised she never once mentioned Hannah Montanah but talked about how cool it would be to hang out with Arial and her princess friends. Surprised about the paperwork, I thought I was buying a new home. While we did that Paula and Mya played and talked. She stated that she really enjoy's Arial because she is a Mermaid AND a Princess. The other's are just Princess's. She also thinks it's cool that Arial wants to walk, I think this is her same desire. She does walk, but it is with assitance of braces and she has a staggard gate that is noticable by others.

Well they said they would get back to us with details.

Chuck and I are off to enjoy the hot tub and night sky. We'll probably end up discussing Disney. We are still going back & forth on whether we are going to Disney for my birthday (or the week-end before). The flights are down to $268 each. I don't know if either of us can wait until March. We are both missing Disney.
