Good morning. :)

I am going to be a hurting puppy today. For whatever reason, I had a hard time falling asleep last night. I was tossing and turning until at least 12:30. It's going to be a long day.

Morning DDA! i ended up being asleep by 830 last night--wow! Im feeling much more rested today..i guess 10 hours of sleep will do that to ya :)

Aww, what a sad contradiction of posts! :rotfl: Jen, I'm glad you feel well rested. Tammi, on the other hand, I hope your day goes quickly and you find yourself with more energy than you might have imagined! :wizard: :goodvibes

Jennifer, the girls are getting so big! Isn't it fun having them try new things? I miss those days...... sometimes!;)

It is fun! It's just going too quickly...

Sorry your Sunday didn't go so well, Theresa.

I am hoping that whatever school Cassidy chooses will have a bed available for her.
She shouldn't need to take her own. ;) And homeschooling for college is not an option... unless you can teach improvisation and counterpoint.

 So true! This never even crossed my mind when reading the post, though! :rotfl:

And they said the light had been out for a long time and they had been complaining about it. Another thing that disturbs me -- why was a ten-year-old child out on their bike after dark, weaving in to the road (it wasn't a cross walk) without an adult?

Ahh, personal responsibility (or parent/family, as the case may be) -- something you'll NEVER see addressed publicly :sad2:

What a tragedy! (Both stories!) :guilty:

Marci, I wish the same energy for you as I did for Tammi! :goodvibes:

Make it a great day, DDA! :)

Jennifer... that is some set of "tickers" in your signature. I hope the girls will realize how lucky they are to have a Mommy and Daddy who love to vacation with Disney!

I just hope Mommy and Daddy are lucky enough to have girls that love to vacation with Disney for years to come! :rotfl:

Good morning, DDA!

Elin, much pixiedust: that Kathrin finds a perfect job soon! That other company sure doesn't know how to treat people.

More details on the blog, but here's a glimpse at what the girls thought of cereal! :teeth:

Those are absolutely precious! It looks like they did well with their cereal.

Hi Janet!

I wish the picture of Elise wasn't so blurry.... as far as I have to go still learning the S5, poor Kyle is totally unaware of when it's in an inappropriate setting for his use! :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

So you did get the S5. How do you like it?

We're home!! We had no issues until we got into BWI. We got in on time at 7pm, but it took an hour to get our luggage. We didn't get home until 8:45pm.

I am trying to upload the few pictures I have but Photobucket is not cooperating. I think that they will have to wait until tomorrow.

Elizabeth and Marc (and your families as well)- Thank you so much for spending the day with us yesterday. Emma and I had a great time. Joe did as well. It was wonderful to meet everyone.

So you think my daughter should pursue a career in golf?!? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I am beyond exhausted and am going to call it a night. I will finish catching up tomorrow.

I am glad that everyone had a good time!

Jen-those babies are too precious...they make my heart sing!!:goodvibes

Robyn-glad you had a good weekend, your hour sounds like mine coming home from Glynis

Terry-I could tell you had somehow gotten on on Miss Stephanie's name....you don't use as many smileys;)

I just came in from a crappy work dinner and the rest of the day wasn't so good so I'm heading off.

First though:

We were putting together Cassidy's new bed and she looked crestfallen when I mentioned it should be easy enough to move for school. She wants to see about homeschooling college. :rotfl2:

 for your bad day.

Remind me again WHY I watch the news? It makes me so sad and scared for DS.

A 14 year old boy was shot and killed at a birthday party. Around 11 PM the kids were in the front yard and a car full of guys pulled up and opened fire on the kids. This boy was hit in the chest. :sad2: It wasn't his party - he was a guest.

A 10 year old on his bike was hit and killed by a Dallas PD officer. The boy was riding to the store and the officer didn't see him. A streetlight was out, and they are saying MAYBE if the light had been working the officer might have been able to avoid hitting the boy. So now they are fighting over who owns the responsibilty of maintaining the light. :headache:

That is so scary and tragic!

Good morning. :)

I hope that the day goes well for you, Tammi! I am feeling a bit sleep deprived myself, but I don't have any big plans for the day. I do have a bunch of prep work for preschool that needs to get done. And a whole lot of laundry. (I hate when I don't get a chance to do laundry on the weekend.)

Good morning, DDA!

It's definitely feeling chilly here, too. I am not looking forward to winter weather. :sad1:

Sorry you had a bad day, Cassidy probably won't need to bring a bed for college. I always went shopping with my girls for dorm accessories each year, I enjoyed helping with the decorating.

depending on which school she chooses she might actually want her bed...this one can go under a loft bed.

I love getting the accessories for school also.:goodvibes

I can teach the one but counterpoint......ummmmmmm not!!:rotfl:

I think the plans are finally set. They are going to have a viewing after all on Wednesday night from 4-7. Becky can't make it because she has a group presentation. The funeral is Thursday morning and Becky will make it for that. He will be cremated Thursday afternoon and the internment is Saturday. Chuck & I are going to take our camper over there on Wednesday morning. It will give us some place comfortable to get away to if we need it.

My mom is coming up. That will be good for the girls. They really need to see Grandma because they haven't seen her since June.

We are all holding up quite well as Mel was wasting away and it was heart breaking. We have been saying good-bye to him for a year. When he had his heart attack a year ago, they told him that he'd have another heart attack within 6 months. He doubled that time. He was ready to go. He made sure that he had everything in order and he had a long talk with Chuck on stuff. He will be missed but we still feel his presence.

I'm having trouble getting motivated this morning. I'm supposed to be at an all day mandatory meeting in Lansing. Of course, I got to skip that with the happenings in my life. However, that means that there isn't anyone around online and I can work on whatever I want which means I'm not working on anything. I may have to end up with today off as well.

And they said the light had been out for a long time and they had been complaining about it. Another thing that disturbs me -- why was a ten-year-old child out on their bike after dark, weaving in to the road (it wasn't a cross walk) without an adult?

I had the same problem. I was exhausted but couldn't get to sleep. It might have been something to do with that HBO series I started watching yesterday afternoon...

Robyn -- sorry you had problems at the airport, but glad you made it home safely. You guys need to visit Joe more often! :goodvibes

It's 62 out now, going up to 83, but we are supposed to get another front that will cool us off to highs in the high 60s/low 70s. I can't wait! We have soccer tonight, and I need to do some more clean-out.

MY child wouldn't have been out on his bike, alone, in the dark. And I imagine his parents will regret that their child was for years to come. :sad2: I also feel bad for the officer.

I was awake until about 11:40 last night, but when I went to bed I couldn't sleep. DS got up at some point because he had a nightmare, but DH just told him to go back to bed. I was having a dream about a Mickey Mouse shirt on sale for $10 but it was too small for me. Kind of a strange night.

Sooo...
I called on this doctor bill. It IS from DS's old eye doctor, date of service January 23, 2003!! But the lady said it is actually supposed to be a CREDIT, not a bill. It's a WHAT? We are being sent to collections because THEY owe US? She said it is a credit for $20. That is the absolute weirdest thing I have ever heard. We don't even have that insurance anymore, so no telling what all has been going on over the past 5 years with that claim. :confused3 Whatever. This lady says we don't owe anything, so we'll see what happens next!

I just hope Mommy and Daddy are lucky enough to have girls that love to vacation with Disney for years to come! :rotfl:

Somehow that doesn't seem like it will be a problem. Ours still do!! ;)

I am glad that the minutiae of the funeral is behind you, Vicki. Still more :grouphug: for you and Chuck and the family.

I've so got to remember to watch what I put on my facebook page as to what I am doing. One of the other employees is a friend there and she's a happy camper here and doesn't realize half the crap I go through here...so she Little Miss Mary Sunshined my grump about going to work today.

Well, we got a check from our doctor's office in the spring for $10. It was for overpayment of a bill in ...

August 2002.

Why in the heck are the looking at stuff from way back then now? If they stopped looking at that stuff they might have time to see patients!

Elizabeth-I hope that's the end of bill saga!! I haven't really watched the news in a long time between politics and the bad news it's just plain:scared1:

I saw that and wondered if she really liked the job and didn't realize how bad things are for you there.
