The windshields on our cars were frozen solid this morning. Of course, neither of us had scrapers in our new cars...

I think we own scrapers, but I don't know where they are. :confused3
I will tell you that if you have that spray de-icer and the can leaks on your coffee table it will eat the finish off. :rolleyes1
We had a can a LONG time ago. It wasn't spraying properly, so I brought it in and put it on the table. Well, it sort of dribbled out of the nozzle all over my table. :headache: Luckily the table has glass insets so it just ruined the wood part.

Hi there... Here are a few pics from Friday. I am working on Saturday's but they'll have to wait until later. I have been running around like a nut trying to get things in back in order. And I have to run out to get Mo from school in about 15 minutes. After the troops leave Emma and I need to hit a few more thrift stores to find her something we can make her Halloween costume out of. We cannot find anything at the ones we've looked at so far. All the girls need them by Saturday for a party. Nothing like waiting til the last minute. I promise to catch up at some point.:goodvibes

I think the plans are finally set. They are going to have a viewing after all on Wednesday night from 4-7. Becky can't make it because she has a group presentation. The funeral is Thursday morning and Becky will make it for that. He will be cremated Thursday afternoon and the internment is Saturday. Chuck & I are going to take our camper over there on Wednesday morning. It will give us some place comfortable to get away to if we need it.

My mom is coming up. That will be good for the girls. They really need to see Grandma because they haven't seen her since June.

We are all holding up quite well as Mel was wasting away and it was heart breaking. We have been saying good-bye to him for a year. When he had his heart attack a year ago, they told him that he'd have another heart attack within 6 months. He doubled that time. He was ready to go. He made sure that he had everything in order and he had a long talk with Chuck on stuff. He will be missed but we still feel his presence.

:grouphug: to your/Chuck's whole family!

Somehow that doesn't seem like it will be a problem. Ours still do!! ;)

If my girls turn out remotely like yours, I will be pleased! :goodvibes:

I was talking to my mom last night and she said my dad was going to go to Disney hiring while we are down there. He's interested in driving a bus. I doubt that he will, but it would be kinda cool. Then she went on to talk about how they could be snowbirds, and that she could walk around the parks handing out buttons. I had no idea what she was talking about until she gave me more info. We were catching with a very nice elderly Dream Teamer once and she gave us all Honorary Citizen buttons. Could you imagine my mom being on the DT!? I hated to burst her bubble but I doubt you just waltz right into those positions. She needs to start out sweeping up trash or something first!

I bet you're right.... but it would still be cool!

...

Great pictures... Emma looks so grown up!

Back to work. See you all later on tonight! :)

For no particular reason I was over on the College board. I clicked a link to all the info about the College Program. What a shame it will be 6 more years before DS will be eligible! I'm ready for him to go now! :rotfl2: I found a list of the local colleges where the recruiters come to do the presentations and everything.

Oh, and Tammi, I found the website about jobs. Bus drivers make $10.25 per hour! :thumbsup2 Everybody else makes about $7 - $8.

I think Jim used his scraper a couple of weeks ago. Then again on Saturday but it got up to 80 later in the day. Don't like the weather in Colorado just wait a couple of minutes.

This could be a very ugly afternoon. Momboss is out of town so I am not sure how late I will be here tonight. Princess did not nap at school today. I just put her in her bed but she argued up one side and down the other. :headache: The housekeeper is talking on her cell phone and running the vacuum so it's not exactly quiet back there. Last week Princess didn't nap at school and she fell asleep in my lap about 6 PM. It would be best for her to nap for about an hour now so she can eat dinner and that sort of thing.

OH MY! The housekeeper is IN PRINCESS' ROOM!! WITH THE VACUUM! :scared1: How is that an OK thing to do? A little common sense, please!

Yep. Ugly.
Princess was shouting my name. I went to her room and she told me she had taken her nap and was going to get up and play. Uh, NO.
Then she decided to shout for the housekeeper! Again, NO. Not an option!
I finally went to her room and told her if she shouted one more time I would take her toy elephant to the playroom and she would have to nap by herself. Now she is being quiet but I don't know if she is asleep or not.

Poor princess. I am glad you didn't have to take her elephant away.

 to you all Vicki

Poor princess. I am glad you didn't have to take her elephant away.

She has an absolute hair-trigger temper these days. If I tell her she can't do something she flies into a rage and hits and screams and cries. She did that to me this morning when I told her she needed to get dressed. She really can't skip her nap. When she was in the crib she was not allowed to have any toys in there AT ALL because she would just play and not sleep. Since Dadboss took the rail off of the crib and made it into a day bed she sleeps with her elephant. Not quite sure how that habit developed, and it isn't usually a problem. Today she was just having a party in there. :sad2:
She has been asleep for about 40 minutes now, so at least she isn't completely napless.

Cassidy had a similar temperment about that age. They do usually grow out of it and then it comes back with a vengence in the teen years!!

I got an e-mail from DS's math teacher today. His average in her class is good, but he is failing all of his homework assignments! OK, my bad, I haven't been checking his work. Time to go back to checking his papers before he turns them in.

He said the teacher said the SMU brochure is due Friday. How can the final project be due when they never had to turn in a rough draft? The rough draft was supposed to be proofed by someone else so the owner could make corrections! And now DS says he could have done a poster instead of a brochure! The assignment sheet didn't say that! I am still having mountains of trouble with the text moving around or showing one thing on the screen and printing something completely different! The brochure is not going to be nearly as good as the one last year because we are having so much trouble with the formatting! He did make some notes for the last panel yesterday, so we'll get that typed up and see how it looks.

Robyn Emma looks so grown up, thanks for sharing!

Elizabeth I hope Princess takes a good long nap for you!

Heidi the recipe you posted looks good :thumbsup2

Marci & Tammi I hope your day at work went quickly & you are able to sleep tonight(same for you Elizabeth).

Thanks, Janet! She is already awake. But an hour nap is much better than no nap at all. On the days she skips her nap she is a MESS in the evening because she is exhausted.

Elizabeth....you got me paranoid....cause I NEVER check the kids work...so I am getting worried.

even though Jackie been a real pill lately...school wise she seems pretty good...I am relieved!
