I am so going to have to do that with my girls!!:lovestruc

Thanks, they got the biggest kick out of it!

About 1.5!

ETA: They get significantly better each year though. His intern year, 9 out of 12 months he took overnight call (usually every 3rd or 4th day). Last year, 8 out of 12. This year, he only has 4.5 out of 12, and next year only 3-4! :yay:

:yay: for only 1.5 years left. And now that the girls are here that time will zoom right past!

I posted this for my friends on the breast cancer thread. I am too lazy to type it out again, and it would say the same thing!

Oh, Elizabeth! What a rough afternoon for you and your mom! Hopefully, it was just a one time thing, and the next Taxol treatment won't be as bad. Sure wish I was closer to you. Sounds like you could use a hug!

I am so sorry that the situation with your mom seems to be getting worse. I hope your mom can work through her feelings to realize that she made the right decision to fight this and that even if it's not easy it's so much better than not fighting. And for your sister to realize that life just isn't always what you envision but doing it in a way that doesn't wreak havoc on everyone around her. Lots of  's and :wizard: :wizard:

I hope Princess feels better!

Lots of good thoughts for them! :wizard:

My afternoon has been fairly disasterous.

Princess slept all of 30 minutes, then I heard her thrashing around. Then she started to whimper. Then it turned into full-blown howling. I went in and told her she needed to go to sleep. Howling continued. She finally told me her ear hurts. No fever but she NEVER says that, and she never acts like that, so I tend to believe her. Called Momboss, no answer in her office or on her cell. Called Dr's office, they are closed today, push this extension for the other Dr., straight to voice mail. ARGH! Give her Motrin and give up on everything else. She is supposed to go to ballet but with an earache and no nap we stayed home.

My mother is going to drive me to drink. Really.

Oh, stop! You're making me blush! Seriously, though, it was a fun time! I made sure I had a disposable table cloth so I could just ball it up and throw the mess away after the kids were done. It really helped everyone get in a Christmas-y mood, too! Good luck with Emma! If you need any more ideas, I'll start brainstorming! I'll see if I can find the pictures of the party and post them for you.

Really, you have such creative and wonderful ideas!! I would love to see pictures!!!

Robyn - Cute little videos! :goodvibes

Thanks.

Dinner was a success tonight! Compliments of Crockpotting 365:

YUM! Goes well with buttered bread and a nice tossed salad and there are very little leftovers. (It looks like it would make about 6 bowls of soup, but I also added an extra can of beans and another cup of broth because I couldn't justify having that sit in the fridge...)

Sounds good!!!

Glynis,

Eric, Mo and I loved the tuna pizza!! We used a whole wheat crust from Trader Joe's and it was delicious. Thanks for sharing.

I am off to Girl Scouts. I'll check back in later.

I remember when you did that, I think 2 Christmases ago. It was wonderful. :lovestruc

Let me guess....Everyday Math, or whatever it's called. This is our second year with it, and I'm having a hard time accepting it.

Tammi - We went with enVision. It is new from Scott Foresman. We were on two programs - Saxon and SF before. Now, we're all enVisionMATH all the time!!! I actually taught both the old programs at different schools and liked SF so I think I'd love enVision. But, some teachers are struggling with the changes, which I understand.

I just checked my mail. I got a card from Marci and Stephanie and an ecard from Elin. It's been a good day :goodvibes

Glad you liked it. To me, it's comfort food!

Thanks for the hugs. :)
I swear after I talk to Mom I just feel drained. I should be sympathetic and supportive but I get so aggravated I can't seem to manage anything beyond being aggravated! :headache:
