or, as Kristin said... "Mom, just tell Dad the big suitcase is his!" Which is what I plan to do. ;) No purchase necessary. :rotfl2:

Where are you looking to fly to? What dates do you need airfare for?

Also if you need an additional person to fill a room. I would be interested. :thumbsup2 I am having major cruise withdrawal and have been eyeing some of the cruises in Oct/Nov. But I have no one to go with.

This is if you do not mind a tag along
i am with you on the cruise withdrawal! It doesnt look like teh cruise is going to work out now--ugh!!!!

Ours went up around 30 cents too. Talk about gouging. I understand that it will go up because of Ike and the refineries, but immediately? Give me a break.

I couldn't agree more! I am so glad I filled up a few days ago, hopefully it will last till the prices start to drop.

I guess we live far enough south east of DFW that we got significantly different weather from Lindsay and Elizabeth. I have limbs, some big, littering my yard as the trees were really swaying. I'd estimate we got around 5 inches, but I haven't heard the official total yet. We only lost the satellite, not power so we were very lucky!

It's a gorgeous day today -- sunny and fairly clear outside. I'd better run get ready for Church -- just needed to check on our gulf coast DISers and their families.

Marci glad to hear you fared well!

ShoeBuy also is having a sale and 20% off if you use PayPal! Is yours a duffle or a traditional upright rolling suiter?
Upright. I think I would prefer that over the rolling duffle.

I bought my MVMCP tix for 12/4. I think that is all that I can do now. I'll call ME on Monday and give them our flight info, and make sure I have the DDP added to our ressie. I need to pick some pictures that I want to use for the personalized menu at Coral Reef. It's a surprise for Nicholas' bday. I got the diver for him too. We are having dinner at 1900 Park Fare for his actual bday. I'll need to call the bakery and order a cake. Any suggestions on what I should get?

Sounds like a wonderful birthday for Nicholas! I still need to get tickets for the 4th :thumbsup2

I would love to begin packing today. I have most of the clothes we will take laundered and folded and ready to pack. I have two problems...

1. Will they wrinkle much over the next 11 days?
2. My suitcase broke on our trip to Boston this summer. The metal bars of the retractable handle just snapped! And the suitcase was not even 35 pounds!

I could pack in the small and large suitcases of the set but that would mean I would have to handle the large one on my own. (It will be all Bob can do to have his small carryon and his small suitcase and then find his wallet with his license in it. )

I am not taking my laptop on this trip so I don't have that to worry about. But I wanted to pack one bag to take into All Star Sports for that first night.

ME will have the other two bags and since our flight doesn't arrive until 10:45 p.m. I figure there is a good chance they won't deliver them to us until morning. That is what happened when the girls and I flew in late one year. When we woke up the next morning the message light was blinking, telling us our luggage would be delivered when we were ready. Has anyone gotten into their resort close to midnight and not gotten their luggage until morning recently?

Anyway, I digress (who would have thought that would happen?!? :rolleyes1 ). I have considered purchasing a new medium-sized suitcase to replace the one that is no longer good for wheeling through parking lots or airports. I don't know what to look for! I suppose it needs to be about 25-26" and not heavy. I like the "spinner" feature of what we have now, but that would not have to be present. Lots of places are having sales right now. Any suggestions?

I just got home. I saw this and had to ask you-------did you ask Elizabeth?????:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

And it does! I have two boxes to mail to the Poly in the morning and I just took them to my car. I do not want to go back out in that unless absolutely necessary! :scared: :faint:

It is a chilly 64 here :cold:

Well, I threw it out there for ALL of you, expecting Elizabeth to jump all over it! But, no! :rotfl2:

Elin in August our flight got in around 9:30pm & we made to ASMo's between 10:30/11pm. We checked in then went to the food court to eat. Afterwards we walked around some & made it back to our room around midnight or a little there after. I was pleasantly surprised to see that our luggage had been delivered! I did pack an overnight bag just in case & even though our luggage was there, it was nice not having to get into it the next morning.

I can get this 29" Delsey Rolling Duffel for $66 with free shipping at ShoeBuy. Also points on MyPoints! What do you think?

Cassidy loved hers on her trip to New York (hers was a Samsonite)

If I could get some pixie dust this way I would appreciate it...it's for something so small, in the grand scheme of the DDA but it's huge for me.
My ID has gone missing again (I use it so very infrequently, it wasn't where I last had it) and I have 12 days until I NEED it for the weekend with Glynis. I am nearly in tears (although that doesn't take too much lately).

Theresa I hope as I read on that you found your ID :wizard:

Thanks, Janet. I have to hope this will happen to us too. Although, we won't really need the ME bags except to transfer them to the Poly on Saturday morning. The year we used them at the BWI I think ME was fairly new (October 2005) so maybe they were still working it all out.

not yet!!

I am right now dealing with another headache. All this week I've gotten a headache about this time every day (unless I was already dealing with a migraine). I am getting sick of this!!
