DDA Chapter 12

Jennifer - I use Expedia, and each airline website. I look at all one-way fares, then I piece together the cheapest legs from each airport to see what the lowest r/t flight is. That is how why I am flying USAirways down and Airtran back. Good luck!

Thanks for checking in, Kristine. I hope Ike has dried up and won't give you all much additional rainfall to deal with.

The Crystal City Marriott is available as a Park 'n' Fly!

For $350 a night before taxes  :scared1:

Today is a really nice day, except for the dang humidity.
Just walking to my moms and back, and I needed my inhaler.

Jennifer, I hope that Virginia feels better soon and that no one else gets sick. :wizard: :wizard:

The only other one I can find online right now is a HoJo's in Cheverly MD for $110. :sad2:

I saw Holiday Inn for $96 before taxes. I think we will stick to driving up that morning. Thanks for your help.

I bought my MVMCP tix for 12/4. I think that is all that I can do now. I'll call ME on Monday and give them our flight info, and make sure I have the DDP added to our ressie. I need to pick some pictures that I want to use for the personalized menu at Coral Reef. It's a surprise for Nicholas' bday. I got the diver for him too. We are having dinner at 1900 Park Fare for his actual bday. I'll need to call the bakery and order a cake. Any suggestions on what I should get?

Elin and Tammi, enjoy it winter will be here soon enough.

I would love to begin packing today. I have most of the clothes we will take laundered and folded and ready to pack. I have two problems...

1. Will they wrinkle much over the next 11 days?
2. My suitcase broke on our trip to Boston this summer. The metal bars of the retractable handle just snapped! And the suitcase was not even 35 pounds!

I could pack in the small and large suitcases of the set but that would mean I would have to handle the large one on my own. (It will be all Bob can do to have his small carryon and his small suitcase and then find his wallet with his license in it. )

I am not taking my laptop on this trip so I don't have that to worry about. But I wanted to pack one bag to take into All Star Sports for that first night.

ME will have the other two bags and since our flight doesn't arrive until 10:45 p.m. I figure there is a good chance they won't deliver them to us until morning. That is what happened when the girls and I flew in late one year. When we woke up the next morning the message light was blinking, telling us our luggage would be delivered when we were ready. Has anyone gotten into their resort close to midnight and not gotten their luggage until morning recently?

Anyway, I digress (who would have thought that would happen?!? :rolleyes1 ). I have considered purchasing a new medium-sized suitcase to replace the one that is no longer good for wheeling through parking lots or airports. I don't know what to look for! I suppose it needs to be about 25-26" and not heavy. I like the "spinner" feature of what we have now, but that would not have to be present. Lots of places are having sales right now. Any suggestions?

If I could get some pixie dust this way I would appreciate it...it's for something so small, in the grand scheme of the DDA but it's huge for me.
My ID has gone missing again (I use it so very infrequently, it wasn't where I last had it) and I have 12 days until I NEED it for the weekend with Glynis. I am nearly in tears (although that doesn't take too much lately).

Kristine-I am so sorry that this is so very stressful for both you and Bill!!

Thank you all for checking in...has anybody tried calling Karen??

Elin - I got a Delsey about a year ago and love it. Depending on what you want to spend, Bagsbuy is having a sale now and there is a save10 code for $10 off. Bagsbuy also has free shipping.
