Good thoughts for your dad.
I need another round of prayers and Pixie Dust.

No He keeps it really short anyway. I think I'll just do a bald clown cap![]()
Jim Cantore graduated from my high school. His sister was in my class. She now lives in Florida. His brother Vinny still lives around here though![]()
Very nice![]()
I seem to have misplaced Chris' extra key fob too. Maybe they are hiding together![]()
Me...why do I need a costume. Can't I just dress up the men? Actually I haven't really thought too much about it.
I'm sorry that DH doesn't love Disney as much as you. Is there another vacation location that the whole family loves? We choose WDW because all 5 of us love it, but if one of us didn't I think we'd try to find an alternate place that we all lovedBlasphemy I know, but family vacations are important, those are memories that will carry with you and the kids for life.
I hope they can decide how best to proceed and that his surgery is quick and safe![]()
OMG how much can one woman take? Of course you have our prayers. I'm pleased to read that things haven't been as bad as predicted.

Wow, that looks much worse than from the patio. Stay safe. Any damage to your home so far?
I like that one too.

Now if this storm would just pass you could relax for a moment

At first look we just have a very messy yard to clean up, we haven't been able to get out enough to really assess the situation.

Well they are not where mine wereI seem to have misplaced Chris' extra key fob too. Maybe they are hiding together![]()
But check the desk!Wow. I'm speechless. I can't begin to thank you for all the wonderful notes about my Dad. They moved him to another hospital about an hour ago. One with better cardiac care. They are discussing either a pacemaker or defibulator. I'm not happy with either choice. I'm not liking surgery on a 93 year old man. Plus, my FIL died while having a pacemaker put in. Scares me. I know it is only a 5% chance of something going wrong, but when you have already had someone die because they were one of the 5%, it's just really scary.
Currently they are running more tests to figure out which device they want to implant. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again from the bottom of my very grateful heart![]()

I need another round of prayers and Pixie Dust. Just before we lost power today I got a phone call from my dad. He is in Nashville at a square dance weekend, his "friend" is with him. He got up this morning and passed out, they took him to the hospital and they found he has a "sick sinus" and will be having a pace maker put in today.
I talked with his nurse and she assures me he will be fine, but will not be able to lift anything or drive for a while. He will be able to travel in a few days and his friend will be able to drive.
I hate that I can't be there with him, but it is absolutly impossible.
which writing do you like better?

I just got a call from Dad, he is sporting a new pacemaker and should be released from the hospital in a couple of hours. He will have a follow up with the doctor tomorrow and they will decide when he will make the trip home after that.
Biloxi is report to have received 3.69 inches of rain so far![]()
Wow! Good news, and so quickly, too! What a relief for you!!! That's one less thing to worry about right now.

They were just showing people swimming in the streets on the news, and we still have a lot of rain ahead of us.
Thank you,
He didn't call and let me know what was going on until right before they were to do the procedure. My DD and I were discussing, it was actually a good thing that he was there instead of here, he was away from the storm and happened to get a doctor that specializes in this procedure.

Thanks Glynis, that does make me feel better. And Elizabeth, your note about the 90+ year old lady and her pacemaker made me feel better too. Thanks!Continued prayers for your dad, Stephanie! I'm so sorry this is happening. Surgery on someone that old is scary!
My 91 year old grandmother broke her hip and had to have surgery. I didn't think she would survive, but she did. She was in hospice care for quite a while afterwards because no one thought she would live, but she was a plucky old bird! She managed to live another 8 years after that!
I can get payroll done and then go to Jersey.

The doctors at the new hospital want to do their own set of tests, so no surgery tomorrow.![]()
