Right on!
Thanks! That is coming back from my college Physiology and Anatomy course, so it's been in "storage" for quite a while. I would love to do something in the medical/health profession but I don't know what I could do. I don't have the time or money to go back to school to get a professional degree or I would love to go into pharmacy or be a PA.
Dana interviewed for a position in NC so we will see!
Of course my DDA family will be the first to know!
I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get whatever is best for you!
So do I thanks again for changing the date on this one for me.
You are welcome.
I just got a call from Dad, he is sporting a new pacemaker and should be released from the hospital in a couple of hours. He will have a follow up with the doctor tomorrow and they will decide when he will make the trip home after that.
That is great news!
Elizabeth - I wanted to encourage everyone to go look at your DH's pictures on your TR. They are really good!
Yes, they are terrific! I guess there isn't much hope of him wanting to sell that dSLR now, is there? Unless maybe he decides to upgrade...
Deb, where did you order the book from? I found it on
Amazon for just over 11 dollars. Did you get it from Overstock? Maybe I'll do some Christmas shopping. Everyone loves books for Christmas, right? Or is that only me and my kids???
I love to get books for Christmas (or anytime)! My one aunt used to always buy us books for Christmas. She was a teacher and had a knack for always getting a perfect book for us that we didn't even know existed.
From Wikipedia:
James M. Cantore (born February 16, 1964 in White River Junction, Vermont) is an American meteorologist. He is best known for his quite lengthy tenure as an on-air personality for The Weather Channel.
Looks like he is just a little older than me. He has definitely aged better than I have!
Have you seen the camera poncho that willcad has directions for on his site
www.willcad.org? Just cut holes in a zip lock bag for the strap? I used that but also wore a poncho so felt safe in very heavy rains.
No, I hadn't seen that before. That is ingenious! I'll definitely remember it next time it rains.
Thanks for the hug. DH doesn't not like it as much as me but just doesn't like it. Come to think of it I honestly can't think of anything he does like-he has no hobbies and would much rather stay home than travel. It isn't that he's lazy he just gets overwhelmed by life. I guess I should feel sorry for him but it gets old when he puts a damper on my vacation. He is good about my traveling with just one kid so that is good. He will have to plan next year's family trip because I'm done with that. Feb is a trip for Lizzy & I. She has 2 half days the first week in Feb so I thought that would be a good opportunity to take her. Jet Blue hasn't opened their schedule out that far yet so it isn't real til I have air fare. I don't know if I should check with her teacher first or not. If we have open house before Jet Blue releases their schedule I might mention it to her. I know I won't be able to take her out for too many more years. Then I plan to take Joe for my birthday in May. Then I'll take Emma in Jan 2010 for her 7th birthday. I wasn't thinking when I had her so close to Martin Luther King Day-too crowded for me.
I'm sorry that he is so miserable there and that it makes it so hard for you. My dh has many similarities to yours as far as not really having any hobbies, preferring to just be at home, and getting overwhelmed easily. My dh also doesn't like to be around a lot of people, so he wouldn't have been happy meeting the DDA, so at least you have that. It's also great that he is happy for you to go several times a year without him along. One of these days, I'd love to join you for a May birthday trip! I need a better paying job first, though.
I didn't see a free dining bochure-just the watch bounce back thing. We LOVED the set up of the suites. The bed in the bedroom wasn't quite as comfy as Poly or CR but much better than any in the values or moderates. I really liked having a comfy chair in the bedroom and having a desk in the bedroom with built in power strip was great. The kids liked the beds. I tried out the twin that Joe used and it was OK-don't think I could have slept in it for 2 weeks. THe full size bed the girls had was a comfy as any value full size bed. It was great having 2 bathrooms, 2 closets and 2 tvs. I loved the extra storage in the kitchen. We did eat a few meals in the room-well made the kids PBJ's, mac & cheese in the micro, hot dogs and breakfasts.
I wasn't crazy about ASMu but I know that was because they were doing construction and we had to walk all the way around the main building to get to busses. They put up the walls on Tuesday night of the storm. They couldn't wait a day for the worst of the rains to blow by????? When I get things fixed on my Mac I'll upload some photos. As it is I can't open iPhoto and any other application at the same time.

I did sent you a link to the photopass photos. Can I see yours?
Thanks for the review of the All Star suites. I wasn't sure about the value resorts, but we did have a great stay at POP. I would definitely do two rooms in a value vs. a single room at POR or a deluxe next time the whole family goes. We're too cramped at POR these days, and the deluxe is just too much money for us. Since Matthew will be 18+ next time we go, I'll probably go for two regular rooms. We'll request connecting, but even if they are relatively close, we'll be ok. That way everyone can have a "real" bed, and none of the kids would need to share a bed.
We had the Blizzard of '77 in Buffalo.
went to the gastro guy...colonoscopy is scheduled for the 18th....cardio guy iis scheduled for the 12th....he is lamenting to me that he wants no more tests prior to the trip...I told him it is totally up to the cardio guy...so we shall see....other than that, he has been tense due to ongoing issues with the oldest son...
