I need another round of prayers and Pixie Dust. Just before we lost power today I got a phone call from my dad. He is in Nashville at a square dance weekend, his "friend" is with him. He got up this morning and passed out, they took him to the hospital and they found he has a "sick sinus" and will be having a pace maker put in today.

I talked with his nurse and she assures me he will be fine, but will not be able to lift anything or drive for a while. He will be able to travel in a few days and his friend will be able to drive.

I hate that I can't be there with him, but it is absolutly impossible.

I'm so sorry to hear this, especially on top of having to deal with Gustav. Lots of prayers and for you and him.

On the Princess ones I put them as Princesses' and that is because Jeff said to even though I thought it was wrong. Elin so Kindly pointed out that it was indeed wrong. It should be Princess

We were talking with someone who said they had passed more than 30 Dallas County school buses on Saturday that looked to be going down to the coast. Well, we saw them today headed back to Dallas. They were helping with the evac. We also talked to someone from Lake Charles, who left SA, went home, tied everything down, put up boards, and then went back to the resort. How scary!

My 90+ year old Dad is in the ICU. I'm on my way to Jersey.

went to the gastro guy...colonoscopy is scheduled for the 18th....cardio guy iis scheduled for the 12th....he is lamenting to me that he wants no more tests prior to the trip...I told him it is totally up to the cardio guy...so we shall see....other than that, he has been tense due to ongoing issues with the oldest son...

Prayer request please! My grandmother is terminally ill and not expected to make it longer than a week or so at most. We are planning to drive to Mississippi this weekend with the kids for one final visit (let's hope the rain from Gustav is gone by then). Obviously, if her health declines faster, we will leave during the week. The funeral will be in Huntsville, AL. This is really rough on the kids (and all of us). Thanks for the prayers.

Did I really have to get off the ship now??

As you can tell from the above I ABSOLUTELY did not want to get off the Magic this morning. I had a great time despite the sore foot. Also our parents did make it to California they both went to Disneyland. But my Dad rode the Jungle cruise and started to feel worse. He got some food but ended up going back to the room. Sunday morning as we are frantically trying to get ready to get on the bus to the port. We were also trying to book my Mom and Dad airfare out of CA. As my Dad did not think he should go on the ship. So they ended up flying out of LAX on Monday morning. So they unfortunately did not get to go on the cruise. The good news is he is feeling much better. Except now he has a sinus infection again.

I was hoping to be stuck at sea for a few more days from the storms out there. Or I was trying to figure out how to become one of the back 2 backers on the 5 day cruise that left today. None worked so I am home. I have to be at work tomorrow morning. I hope I have no problems driving myself to and from work, as I have yet to do so since I hurt my foot.

I started some unpacking. Some laundry is in the dryer. I gotta figure out what to do with all the stuff I accumulated. Pins, lithographs, commemorative Panama Canal box, glasses, etc.

Also a recap would be nice as I am back on page 228 of Chapter 10. Knowing me I will try to read everything but maybe not.

For now I should head to bed. I have a feeling the rest of this week is going to wear me out.

So I was talking to Bob yesterday about the Adventures by Disney trips. He said "I thought the next thing was a cruise?" Let the planning begin!!!!! I'm thinking a week in WDW followed by a 3 or 4 night cruise.
