DDA Chapter 11

don't forget the back to school picture tomorrow.:)

Dont think that one is happening !:)

Jen any photos of your classroom? I'm glad that you feel ready. We'll be thinking of you tomorrow.
?
No photos yet, but i am bringing my camera tomorrow so ill try to remember in the mroning!

Both kids had great days at school. The reason Nicholas was hoping for the teacher that he got is because the teacher gives out candy. Today he got 5 Hershey kisses. They also give the 3rd graders planners. Pretty nifty thing if I don't say so myself. They are approx. 5x9, at the top of each page is a place to write the date, then rows under that date for each subject where he can write in his homework and due date. Then there is a check box that gets marked when the work is completed. He said he would start getting homework next week. They are also starting a new special this year. Once a month, instead of library, they are having guidance/counseling.
I think they mentioned having guidance at our school too--i have to find out!

Thanks for all the good luck wishes! I just got home from dinner and now that i am sitting and relaxing, i am absolutely petrified--so im hoping to have a good report for you tomorrow!

Jen you will be terrific tomorrow

Since Disney sold 298 acres to 4 seasons why couldn't they sell some to us :confused3 They're aren't using the tree house villas. I'm sure a little home improvement and we could use those. We could have our own little community rather than one Mansion. ;)

I'm sure someone has probably already told you by now, but the Treehouse Villas were torn down this summer. Chuck got some pictures of them tearing one down while we were there in June. The rumors are that they are going to rebuild and it will become part of Saratoga Springs.

Anne Marie - Congrats to Dana for how the NC job is looking! That is great news.

Jen - You will do wonderfully tomorrow. Have a great first day!

I wish I could remember more, but apparently my brain is fried tonight. I think my bed, or at least my chair since Terra fell asleep for almost 2 hours this evening, is calling. Night all!

I guess I should get ready for bed. I have a day of meetings all day tomorrow. I am having a hard time adjusting to going to bed early. I regularly stayed up till 3am and got up at 11am on my trip. So this going to bed early thing is out of whack for me.

Hope all of you are doing well. I still have almost 100 pages to read to catch up.

I am way back but decided to let you all know about my Dad before I caught up.

Dad is great!!!   They put in a defibulator and he was up and sitting in a chair when I left. He'll be coming home tomorrow. His first question was when could he drive again? The next was how long was his lifting restriction? :lmao: :lmao:

So he'll be driving again next week, sneaking out to Burger King and getting another 1/4 pound Whopper.:rotfl: And I suspect he'll be riding his mower before long, cutting is grass. He's incorrigible.

Well, I am falling asleep at the computer, so I'm off to bed. Thank you all so much for your good thoughts and prayers. I love you all so much.

Back to school today!

So darling, and so GROWN UP! What happened to the tiny kids we first saw in Easter pictures???? I can't stand it that all our kids are getting older. We aren't, are we???

my laptop had died a very painful death :sad2:

there's a purchase I wasn't planning to make....I feel lost without it.

I'm so sorry, Kristine! Nothing like an unexpected purchase to drag you down.

I started a load of towels in my washer this morning, and thought that my washer was dying. It would run for 5 minutes and then stop for 5 minutes. After a couple of times, I went in to see what was going on....Alan had decided to wash some of his clothes, and the bonehead put the washer on the handwash cycle! Tell me, please, why do his jeans need the handwash cycle??? I usually put them on the heavy cycle! I was so happy that I wasn't going to have to spend money on a new washer!

I'm so glad that things went well for your Dad! You must be so relieved!!!

Well, we got the boys room finished up last night, and Jacob's furniture put back in place. Then, Alan brought the crib pieces in and put it together. Before I can put the mattress in, he needs to add a piece of plywood underneath to strengthen it. Hopefully, he'll do that tomorrow. It's really starting to look good! Once I get the curtains up, and the crib sheets, etc., put on I'll take pictures for y'all. Tomorrow I'm going to find a pad for the changing table!

I wasn't able to get on earlier, as Katie tied up the computer with her homework. She's doing a project on famous world landmarks. She's found pictures, and spent hours today researching each landmark. She's about halfway done, and then we'll print it and all the pictures off to make a poster for her class. It's nice to see her excited about homework (because it wasn't math!!!). Makes for a much nicer afternoon!

I'm off to bed!

So I really need to try and sleep now. I was exhausted when I got home from work. But am now ready to roll. Whatever. Night all!m

I'm glad the first day went well! :goodvibes

Thank you :goodvibes but my pants are getting a bit snug too. When I went through my private H E you know what, I lost 20 pounds. Now that I'm happy again I put 10 back on. Happiness is a double-edged sword. Plus I don't think being on steroids for a month in the summer helped. They made me eat like a pig. I was constantly hungry. Dam poison ivy.

I hear ya' on this one!

Those are some pretty special jeans! ;)

I'm so impressed! You're more on top of things than I was expecting twins and bedrest/early delivery! :thumbsup2
