DDA Chapter 11

Anne Marie I hope that NC works out for you if that is what you want. How soon would you be moving?
By January...we paid 1/2 year tuition for Daniel already & it would give us more time to check out the schools.

How exciting! When will Dana know for sure?
They said the job is pretty much his but we have to find a good location. We have to find the right school for Daniel & his special needs. Apparantly alot of NC schools are based on lotteries to get in. We can't go & then he does not get into the right school or we will be back to square one with him.

I never received the link to see your pictures Anne Marie :sad1:
Oh no! I sent it yesterday..I will try again now.

I am waiting for my cd & then I can share. I went in on a photo pass share & other peoples pictures(I do no know them)were on the site as well.

I do have a link for the pictures I took if you would like to see them.
Me me!!! Can I see??

that is very exciting, Anne Marie. Raleigh or Charlotte?

Tell Dana congratulations from Bob and me! :goodvibes
Thanks!!! We are looking at the suburbs of Raleigh (closer to the beach you know! :lmao: )

:cool1: :cool1: on both counts!
Thanks!

From us too!
Thank you!

Anne Marie - Congrats to Dana for how the NC job is looking! That is great news.
Thanks!!!

I am way back but decided to let you all know about my Dad before I caught up.

Dad is great!!!   They put in a defibulator and he was up and sitting in a chair when I left. He'll be coming home tomorrow. His first question was when could he drive again? The next was how long was his lifting restriction? :lmao: :lmao:

So he'll be driving again next week, sneaking out to Burger King and getting another 1/4 pound Whopper.:rotfl: And I suspect he'll be riding his mower before long, cutting is grass. He's incorrigible.

Well, I am falling asleep at the computer, so I'm off to bed. Thank you all so much for your good thoughts and prayers. I love you all so much.
Wonderful news!

Riley Has the insect project, ugh! I do not mind collecting them, it is just the freezing & keeping them that creep me out. We had to do this with Garrett in 7th grade, wish I would have remembered so we could have been collecting over the summer!

I also had a small project to do myself & it earned Riley 20 extra points. I had to tell about Riley in a million words or less. I did not make the million though :rotfl:
:scared1:  :scared1:  You are a braver woman than I am..I saw a cricket in my bathroom & just about hit the ceiling. Dana knows by my special yell that I have seen a bug! :lmao:

I am so glad to hear he is doing well!! :goodvibes

Thank you, do you know how much I owe you?

$10.70 total. :)

Got some shocking news yesterday.

Its seems my cousin's boss committed suicide. No details yet on why.

Oh, my. Good thoughts for his family as they work through this.

Jennifer - Your pins came to $20.40.

Vicki - Let me know how much I owe you for the pins! I guess we are sort of trading one, but I owe you for the second one. :)

I am going to have a long day. Princess has a friend coming over at 9:15 AM. The housekeeper is coming today around noon since Monday was a holiday, so that means naptime will be all screwy. I am working late tonight because my bosses have "Meet the Teacher" at 7 PM. Princess will go meet her teachers on Friday morning.

I'm turning in early tonight. I gave up my diet Cherry Pepsi (at least in huge quantities) when I started my diet today. I'm hoping that I will sleep better.

I hope you got more sleep. I also have put on a few pounds lately and have started really watching it more.

Can someone help me think of some mantra to repeat before I throttle DH? For the life of him he can not seem to grasp the process of posting photos and he is going to drive me up a tree! :headache:
He's mad that I posted "his" photos, but he SHOULD be GRATEFUL that they are already in Photobucket so all he has to do is copy and paste the code!:headache:

You could delete them all and make him do them...:rotfl:

Both kids had great days at school. The reason Nicholas was hoping for the teacher that he got is because the teacher gives out candy. Today he got 5 Hershey kisses. They also give the 3rd graders planners. Pretty nifty thing if I don't say so myself. They are approx. 5x9, at the top of each page is a place to write the date, then rows under that date for each subject where he can write in his homework and due date. Then there is a check box that gets marked when the work is completed. He said he would start getting homework next week. They are also starting a new special this year. Once a month, instead of library, they are having guidance/counseling.

That is awesome. The pics you posted were terrific of both of them.

I am way back but decided to let you all know about my Dad before I caught up.

That is terrific news! More prayers sent for healing.

I know that you will succeed today, Jen. Have fun while you work with these little children who will adore you! :goodvibes

Well said, so ditto! I can't wait to see some pics of your classroom.

Anne Marie -- that is terrific about the job for Dana. I hope you guys find just the right school for Daniel. I know how much is riding on it and what a difference the right school can make in a child's life.

Another busy day here, but it's only supposed to get up to 82! Yahoo! It's also been raining a little, but I wish we would get more rain. We are still having lots of grass fires in my area.

Take care everyone! :)

They took them all down :guilty:

I could have sworn we same at least some of them when we went to SSR in August. I must be losing my mind:confused3

Ah you looked great too! I do not diet very well either. I did ok for a while, but there is so much I like to eat :rotfl:

I'm afraid we all love to eat that is why we diet. If we could behave all the time it would be a lifestyle change and there would be no need to diet :rotfl: I love soda and sweets. I could easily give up meats and veggies, but I NEED my sweets. Therefore I can behave short term knowing that there is an end in site.

I'm sure someone has probably already told you by now, but the Treehouse Villas were torn down this summer. Chuck got some pictures of them tearing one down while we were there in June. The rumors are that they are going to rebuild and it will become part of Saratoga Springs.

:sad1: :sad1:

  That is great news. It is good that he wants to stay active. Activitiy is truly the best thing to keep a person young.

So I did not sleep well at all again. I think I barely slept. I have taken tylenol pm for years to help me sleep and it appears that it doesn't work anymore. I took it to sleep better and it helped to dry up all the allergy crud in my throat at night. Since it hasn't helped me sleep this week I tried drastic measures yesterday and did not have caffiene after 2 PM, No sweet, turned off the computer early, watched the weather channel rather than an engaging show. :confused3 I know that I'll want a nap with Colby this afternoon, but then I won't want to sleep tonight. Of course I'm working tonight so I don't want to be tired or grumpy for work. A double edged sword.

I need to run a few errands before I pick up Colby this morning.

I just sent my photopass invite to Robyn, Jennifer (bear), & Chanon...Janet I sent them again..please let me know if you don't get it..maybe I have an old email?

The girls have their first day of school today!

Have a great day!

First day of school here. :sad2:  It's Matthew's last first day of "regular" school. :sad2:  By this time next year, he'll have already started somewhere that isn't here.

I am running late to get to the preschool so I'll catch up and post photos later.

Have a great day, DDA!

My memory is not so good this morning. Have we heard from Debbie in the past 24 hours?
No, I don't think we have. I wonder if they ended up losing power. :confused3 I think she said she was going to work today, depending on the severity of the storm.

I hope they have a great day.
Thanks! It's Katie's first day in middle school so she was alittle nervous. Sophie just waltzed right in & sat down ready to get to work.

Anne Marie loved the pics

Tammi did I tell you that I loved your Pics as well.
Thanks!

Tammi,
I couldn't open your picture link, can you send again please?

I'm so impressed! You're more on top of things than I was expecting twins and bedrest/early delivery! :thumbsup2

I think it's because I know this is my last child. When I had the others, we were not at a place, financially, that I could really do what I wanted to with the nursery. Now that we're a bit more stable, I really want to make this special for Peanut. It's helping the other kids, too, as they are giving input and helping to make the room ready for him. It's kind of bittersweet, though, in a way!

That could be a dangerous assignment! For me, it would depend on how happy I was with the child at the time the assignment was given! Luckily for you, your boys seem to be awesome all the time. Nice assignment. I know that for my kids there's no way I'd hit the million!

I'll add the school concerns to my prayers for your family. You sound so upbeat about this job and move. I'm taking it that your whole family feels good about it? Keep us posted so we can do what we can for you!

You should have come on, we could have chatted! ;)

I hope you find a better sleep routine with these adjustments!
