So I strongly dislike doctors and insurance. I called an ortho doc, this morning around 9 am, they called me back a little while ago. Saying he referred me to someone else in his practice. Well he is gone for the day so they say they can get me in on Wednesday.

I called a few other places they are gone for the day. One other does not take my insurance. I found a place that takes the insurance and schedule an appointment for 3pm. They say I need a referral. Even though with my insurance I should not. So I call my doctor, they are on lunch from 11:30am -1pm. They better give me a referral and fax it quickly, so I can go to the appt. I do not want to waste tomorrow as well.

The laundry is moving along too. My kids are playing nicely together. No screaming or fighting Boy are things different without my niece and nephew stirring the pot

Deb, glad you guys had fun! Sorry about Nick's wipe out on his bike! I am glad he wasn't injured too severely!

Marci- I looked at my back in the mirror this morning and it isn't bruised that I can see, but it is still really tender.
Glad the boys had a good time at Great Wolf! And 4th in the division sounds good to me!

Becky - Some doctors will not accept new patients without a referral. Or they make you wait FOREVER for an appointment. I hope you can get in to see someone quickly!

DS and I went to Target and the mall. I realized I forgot to leave out an outfit for DS to wear on the plane. We ended up finding 4 more pairs of shorts on sale, so I'll wash those and he can choose one to wear and I'll pack the others. Yes, I realize I could have taken a pair of shorts out of the luggage, but it was more fun to buy more.

I bought a new hairdryer at Target. Mine has been making a weird noise for awhile, and I think it is really on it's last leg now.

So I got home from the wedding after midnight. It was very nice, it was Mexican themed and they had a Mariachi band which was a surprise for the bridal party.

Today I went to Urgent Care as last night I overturned my right ankle in a hole. After sitting, waiting, exams, and x-rays I have a fracture in my 5th metatarsal. I currently have a temporary splint on my right foot and crutches. I need to make an appointment to go to an orthopedic specialist.

This is going to be for awhile.

I have two and a half weeks until I leave. Let's just say my trip might be interesting. I am going come heck or high water. Now I have so many things to figure out that I have not dealt with before. Now we have to fill out the medical form and figure out Disneyland stuff. I will probably end up in a wheelchair for at least part of the trip. Not how I wanted to spend my trip.

Ack! I hope that you're not in too much pain. You'll figure out the trip no problem and still enjoy it I'm sure! Get the wheelchair or ECV and live it up regardless.

Hello all! I finally got a text message around 6:30 last night that I didn't have to go to work this week. Just the time I need to get stuff ready for our trip. Of course, this morning we spent that time playing at the mall and now I'm here, but hey, why not. Actually, it was nice cause Terra and I had coffee and muffins at Bread Co, played at the play area, checked out the Disney stuff at the Scrapbook store so that we could finalize plans for her autographs this time and rode one of the rides. Now she's playing with Kassie and Connor so I've got some time to work here (of course, they're really noisy behind me so maybe I won't get much done). I also still don't know quite what to do for her autographs, but we'll figure that out. The Winkflash flat rate sale ends on Wed so I might spend part of tonight and tomorrow trying to put a book together for her.

So I can not go to the Orthopedic doctor because I need a physical to get the referral. As I have never been to this doctor before. My previous doctor no longer takes my insurance. So my physical is at 4:15pm today at the new doctor, in order to get the referral for my appointment at 3:15pm tomorrow. Talk about the run around and a waste of my time and money.

Your former primary care doctor no longer takes your insurance, and your new primary won't refer unless you have a physical first? Are you due for a physical? That wouldn't make me very happy, either.
My ortho guy is very good. Shame you live so far away!

I was starting to get really stressed out over who was going to take care of Princess for me on Friday. My friend who has been helping me hadn't returned my calls, and my other friend who was going to watch her has a TON of stuff going on this week and I was afraid she was going to back out. Luckily I talked with my friend who has watched Princess before and she committed to cover for me on Friday. Yay! She had been waiting to see how some other aspects of her schedule shaped up. This is good. She knows Princess, Princess is comfortable with her, she knows the house and so forth so I just need to leave the key and the car seat for her when I go home Thursday.

YAY!

So i am home from the interview..It was about 40 minutes long and it was just the principal and I--he was very nice and asked 2 pages of questinos and wrote my answers down. I think I did pretty well.
He said they are trying to move quickly since its so late in the summer already. He has interviews tomorrowa nd Wednesday and will then be narrowing it down for the 2nd interview. If I get the 2nd interview, I will get a call by Friday. He said he will only be calling 2-3 people...so now i wait!
