Marci,
this is what I posted to Theresa. She and her family had sent their Pal Mickey Andy to us to "visit" so that we would have one in Sept. fr our trip. Last night Andy got a phone call from Theresa and family then they asked to talk to Olivia. Theresa and family have decided that Andy would be much happier here with Olivia and Virginia. Olivia was so excited to hear that she was going to keep Andy forever.
Of course we ended up staying home yesterday as my back did not like sitting on the berm at the round rock express game.
Hi Mommy,

I am having fun with Olivia and Virginia. Virginia keeps trying to eat my nose LOL. Olivia lets me sleep in her bed with her. We went to Virginia’s Dr. on Fri. then to a pool that has a water playscape. Olivia and Virginia had fun. We went out to wat then to the Disney store.

On Sat. we went to a picnic for Olivia’s Grandma’s work. I watched Olivia jump in a moon walk their were too many other kids in their for me. Then we went to the mall for a while . We found the baseball field then went to another pool with a water playscape. Then we went to the Round Rock Express baseball game. They lost but we had fun. Their were some Fireworks after. They were great.

This morning we watched Hanana Montana in 3D. I have some cool glasses now. We are going to head to a different park and ride the train. We might stay and watch Beauty and the Beast on stage. We are waiting for the Dr. Office to call and tell us they have Virginia’s meds called in.

Will post Pictures later.

Talk to you later,
Love Andy

I have to say I was surprised and a little disappointed in the winner of the "Next Food Network Star." I felt like the winner did very well tonight, but the outcome was not as I had expected nor hoped for.

See, we were surprised and thrilled!! Although none of the group made us go "we have to watch".

It was finale night....it was also the last design challenge on Design Star and there we've had a favorite from the start. He's a great designer and a hometown boy.:thumbsup2

Ah -- somehow I missed the background on this. It sounds like it was a good idea to stay home, as Virginia was sick-- and it was so hot outside!

That was very nice of Theresa's family to let you adopt Andy. :goodvibes

I'm glad I wasn't the only one out of the loop. Thanks for asking.

So is baseball completely done now?

Nicholas starts football next week, with practice 3 nights a week, 2 hours each night. What have I gotten myself into????? :faint: But after school starts it's only Tues and Thurs, with games on Saturday. Thank goodness, because ballet and religion are both on Mondays.

sorry guys I think I forgot to post that "Andy" was coming for a visit. Yes it was a good idea. Plus my Aunt called us Fri. around noon to tell us the beach was very spongy and the mosquitoes were getting bad. My Aunt and family live in Port Aransas

i think i rembered someone talking about 22 cent crayons..was that a special promotion or is that all of the time at some store? if so, which store?
Thanks :)

Here's Pat Pat Rocket.

I love it. Much better than an edible decal :thumbsup2 Colby loved it too.

Well, first things first.

It's a boy!!!!

Second, the doctor looked at several things. First, they ruled out spina bifida. The spine looks perfect! There are several "markers" they look for with regards to Down's syndrome; the measurement of part of the brain, the skin fold at the neck, eye spacing, and kidneys. Everything looks good except for the kidney. Even that was not enough to make the doctor nervous. At this stage in my pregnancy, his kidneys should be measuring at no more than 4.0 cm, but Peanut's right kidney is measuring 4.1. It's what they call a soft marker. So, that, along with my age, increase my chances of having a baby with Down's syndrome by 2 percent max. I can live with those odds!

We took all the kids with us, and they thought it was wonderful! At one point, it even looked like Peanut was waving to them. Alan and I were just so relieved that all seems to be well.

Thanks for all your prayers, good thoughts and pixie dust! We appreciate it all!
:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: That is the best news. A healthy boy :cool1: :cool1:

peanutsfirstphoto.jpg

There you have it, folks, Peanut's first photo op!
That is an amazing ultrasound picture. He's already a cutie:love:

I know I missed you, but hope you all have a wonderful time!

I agree about the floors, but I love not having that nasty carpeting anymore

I agree with you. We love the floors, just have to get used to cleaning them multiple times a day. I do not miss the carpets at all.

Good Morning,

Congratulations Glynis, please take care of yourself!

Theresa - I don't have any great words of wisdom, just follow your heart, and think things through before taking any actions.

Happy Belated Anniversary Deb and Chris, DH and I will be married 23 years tomorrow. We won't be exchanging gifts, we are considering our August trip our Anniversary trip.

Robyn - I hope Emma is feeling better, great job on the cake.

Elizabeth - Not only have I not started any packing, I have no idea what to pack. I'l probably have to go do some shopping as my wardrobe is extremely limited. After being harrassed at home and then at work I broke down and went bra shopping, DH is not happy that I dropped a cup size.

Happy Anniversary Debbie. I hope yours was as nice as ours :goodvibes

I bought everything on my kids' list except for two things. Nicholas' list says 2 dry erase markers and band aids. Um, should I send in chalk too? And what's wrong with the nurse's office? Aren't there any band aids there?

However, when we go to back to school night and I find out there is a reason that NICHOLAS needs the markers, then I will buy them. I am not supplying the teacher with them though.

The kids use the dry erase markers themselves. I know that Nick has had to bring them for a few years now and he still has them at the end of the year so the teacher isn't collecting them.

my luck keeps running...to bad it's bad.

I have 3 choices:

a.) keep the tooth with a root canal, pull 3 other (that really need to come out) and do bridges
b.)do nothing
c) pull the tooth and the 3 others and partially denture my mouth.

a & c will cost me, even with insurance, $1200 to $5000. I've got until Wednesday to decide.

Oh and I've got a raging infection in my mouth that I had no clue I had!! So on antibiotics I go!!

I think C would be best. You will never have to deal with that tooth again and repairs are not forever.

I am knocking on wood as I type this....but it appears my UAL travel woes have been resolved. Final cost round trip for Bill & I in September is $378.

50 phone calls later, the $200 credit for overcharging me has shown up on my CC statement...I am soooooo happy that I do not have to call back!!!!

:cool1: :cool1:

Popping in to say real fast and then I'm heading to bed!

Today, we spent an utterly exhausting day at Kings Island and the adjoining waterpark, Boomerang Bay. Of course, since I'm not allowed to swim yet, and I'm Noah's only source of nutritrion, I did a lot of sitting around, people-watching. I really should have brought a book.

I didn't realize so many of us have anniversaries all in the same week! :goodvibes July 24th marked 9 years for us.

Glynis, congratulations!!! :cloud9: Please take care of yourself, too!

Robyn, your Rocket cake is awesome! Want to make a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cake for Matty's big party? ;)

Theresa, sending you lots of  I'm sorry about your dental woes, too.

Jen, lots of :wizard: that you're offered the perfect job between these two interviews!

Other Jen :teeth: I hope Elise is feeling better and time with :headache: (you know, your MIL ;) ) is minimal this weekend.

Great pictures, Elin!

I'm sorry...my brain is fried. I thought we had perfected a great nighttime routine for Noah, but after two weeks, he decided he has this intense desire to suck and now he's waking up every 2-3 hours. He has no patience for his own fingers or fists, and he's rejected six brands of pacifiers, so that pretty much leaves me (he likes the obvious and my thumb). I'm one sleepy Mama!

I hope everyone is having a good weekend! Take care, DDA! :grouphug:

Happy Belated Anniversary

Thank you all for the well wishes for Riley, he is doing fine :goodvibes

Marci sounds like you had another busy weekend as well. I don't think I want to go near the scale, my eating habits were not good at all this weekend :rolleyes1

Jennifer I was confused about your post from Andy as well, thanks for clearing that up :)

Tammi welcome to the world of sports :rotfl: Riley decided not to play football, he wants to play fall ball instead. I swear he cannot get enough of baseball!

As soon as Garrett gets out of the shower we are heading home. Gary had to leave at 5:30 this morning to get to work. I slept in till 7 :lmao: Before we go, I need to stop at Kohls one more time :rolleyes1

Now it is crunch time before our trip, this next week will fly by! Besides work I need to pack up the kitchen & most important pack our clothes(I would hate for Elizabeth or anyone else to see us naked :rotfl: ).

Chat with you all later!

Olivia was so excited to get Andy. When he arrived on Wed. She gave him a big hug. We were headed to the pool on Friday and she asked if we had to mail him off. I told her no not yet. I so wish I had know what Theresa was up to before she called so I could have found some batteries that were charged for the camera. To get her picture.
Thank you again Theresa and family. Olivia is washing "Andy's" clothes in her play washer.

Deb,
did you use a fat pin or sharpies for your autograph pages. When you went to MNSSHP were their any special people out signing autographs? Were Mickey and gang and Pooh and friends in costume? Trying to figure out Autograph pages I need to make.
Thanks

Good Morning DDA,

I had to share the surprise DH had for me, 23 long stem red roses, one for each year.

IMG_3556.jpg

I only got him a card, we had agreed that our trip was our gift. :lovestruc

Those are beautiful. What a nice hubby

So what photo hosting sites do you guys use? We have been using Photobucket, but when I uploaded ONE pic for DH yesterday it took FOREVER! They have also changed the format of the website so I was a little confused.

Some people on the Photo boards use SmugMug, but I don't know if I really want to PAY for a site. We don't use the service that often. Of course we are hoping to post pics of the trip every day, but I may get frustrated and scrap that plan if I can't get Photobucket to cooperate! :headache:

I'm still using photobucket. The bulk uploader worked fine for our last trip. It took time, but we had a lot of photos. It let me upload 250 photos at a time.

Yesterday was filled up with the birthday parties. The first one, for our godson, was uneventful. It was themed for Kung Fu Panda and my girlfriend did a great job with the party games and the goody bags. She had chopsticks, fortune cookies, Chinese yo yo's and such. She even made really cute panda cupcakes. They looked just like these
2467236190_1b0cb53c53.jpg

We left there and headed to the Little Einsteins party. The birthday girl loved the Rocket cake and she was so cute when she realized she was in Rocket on the big cake. She got a huge smile on her face and starting jumping up and down. The party seemed to be going ok but then my girlfriend and one of her other friends (the friend is older is more like a mom to my girlfriend) left the party with no real explanation. It was very odd. I had noticed that my friend seemed a bit off and asked her about it, she told me she hadn't been feeling well. I can understand not feeling well but to leave while the party was still going on was strange and rude. I'm stumped and I am sure I'll never figure out what happened.

Anyway, here is the finished cupcake cake.

Today we had planned on going into DC with just Emma but then found out that the MD German festival is going on so we are about to head out for that. I figure DC isn't going anywhere and the girls like the festival and we can drag all 3 of them with little worries of Mo and Lucy getting bored.

Have a great day!! :goodvibes

The panda cupcakes are very cute. The edible decal came out much cuter than I thought it would. I do like the first one better though :goodvibes

Thank you all for the good wishes for Virginia. We went to the Dr on Fri. her temp was 102.7 when we got up. They did a cath on her she has a UTI. at least that is what the urine culture shows. we picked up her Antibotics last night.

I hope she gets better quickly.

So I got home from the wedding after midnight. It was very nice, it was Mexican themed and they had a Mariachi band which was a surprise for the bridal party.

Today I went to Urgent Care as last night I overturned my right ankle in a hole. After sitting, waiting, exams, and x-rays I have a fracture in my 5th metatarsal. I currently have a temporary splint on my right foot and crutches. I need to make an appointment to go to an orthopedic specialist.

This is going to be for awhile.

I have two and a half weeks until I leave. Let's just say my trip might be interesting. I am going come heck or high water. Now I have so many things to figure out that I have not dealt with before. Now we have to fill out the medical form and figure out Disneyland stuff. I will probably end up in a wheelchair for at least part of the trip. Not how I wanted to spend my trip.

I hope you are all having a great weekend.

Oh Becky. I hope you can work with the doctor to come up with a treatment plan that will work with you life and trip. Do you have an automatic car? Can you drive with your other foot? How will this change your cruise excursions? :wizard: :wizard:

Elizabeth sorry the massage chair made you feel worse instead of better

Riley has a nice bruise on his side from being hit with a ball yesterday. Everyone thought for sure a rib had cracked from the sound of the pop when the ball made contact. Luckily no broken ribs!

:wizard: Elizabeth
:wizard: Riley

Nick crashed his bike at the campground. He's not sure what happened as he was only going from our camper to my parent's camper across the street :confused3 He ended up with a little scrape on his hand and a big bruise on his leg. I think his shorts somehow cut into his leg as it goes most of the way around his leg right at the short line. He was really shaken up by the time he got to me as I was in the campground office making reservations for next year. Thankfully getting him cleaned up and a big icee seemed to take care of it. I don't think he got back on his bike though.

Our Poly dates are Jan 1 - 4. I hope your events went well. Another scorcher today -- you and Elizabeth take care!

Happy Anniversary to Debbie and her DH.

Happy belated Anniversary to Amy and Kevin. Amy -- I'm amazed at how much you are doing with a newborn and two other young kids. Please take care and don't overdo it.

I'm so sorry -- good luck with your decision. I hope the infection goes away pronto!

Yahoo! I'm so excited for you!

Poor thing. I hope she is feeling better and will start taking the medicine easier. Did you guys end up staying home since she was sick?

I'm so sorry. I hope you can get in to a specialist quickly.

I hope both girls feel better soon!

Hooray for good games. I hope Riley is okay -- that is scary when a kid gets hit and you can hear the pop. They had a pitcher get hit by a line drive that dropped him to the ground at the field next to ours last week. It hit him in the face by the ear and luckily only required stitches. We were afraid he would have a concussion. Of course, Andrew was pitching on our field at the time and was a little freaked out by it. Congrats on the good shopping deals.

I hope your DH gets help tomorrow. Do you have the bruise? That doesn't sound like a good pedicure. Sending lots of prayers for the next infusion for your Mom.

We ended up getting 4th in our division in baseball. There were four divisions since there were 60 teams playing. All but one of our games were decided by a run or two -- very good baseball! We took our boys and the two closest-in-age nephews to Great Wolf Lodge Saturday night. They had a ball and behaved very well.

We went from there yesterday to meet my family for a birthday dinner for my brother (April 5th -- that's far how we are behind in celebrating family birthday's) and my sister had to leave from dinner to go to the emergency room. She's fine -- a new arthritis medicine is tearing up her stomach -- but I took her two home from the dinner. Needless to say, I didn't get much cleaned/put away from our week of baseball and hotel stays. Will (the almost one-year-old ended up getting mad at me. I was trying to get him to sleep, and Hallie kept coming in and waking him up. I finally convinced her to stay out until he went to sleep, but then he was wide awake. He kept throwing his pacy, and when I told him no, he burst in to tears because I hurt his feelings. I felt a tidge guilty, but he quickly went to sleep after that. It's been too long since I've had a one-year-old and three-year-old to take care of. One good thing -- I missed dinner as I was feeing both of them, and I'd been eating so bad because of the week of baseball that it was a good thing. I was still up two pounds on the scale this morning...

Have a great day everyone!

4th is not a bad place to be. :cool1: I hope that things calm down a bit for you. It was nice of you to step up and take care of the kiddos while Mom got taken care of :thumbsup2

Elizabeth...When are you going to Disney.......

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I hope you can get some sleep this week.

Thanks

We used sharpies. I got a clipboard at Walmart that has a compartment in it that held a bunch of sharpies. We let the character choose the color that they wanted to use.

The character's were in costume, Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy if I remember right.

The Villian's did a show, but last year they did not sign autographs.

The Princes are out with the Princesses as well as Pocohantas and John Smith.

Snow White was out with all 7 dwarves for photos, but no autographs.

I like to read the early trip reports from the first parties or even post a character question after the first couple of parties. That way I can see who is out for that year. Characters that are out seem to change from year to year.

So i am going to hit the pool for a bit before I get ready for the interview...for some reason, I am not worried today..Usually i am petrified before interviews so I dont know if this is good or bad hahaha

We had a nice weekend camping. A little rain Saturday night, but beautiful otherwise.

It was competition weekend at the campground. I did horse shoes, Chris and I did Shuffleboard together. The kids did shuffleboard and swimming.

Colby took 3rd place in kids shuffleboard. I took third place with a random partner in horseshoes (I beat SIL in the first round :goodvibes ). Chris and I won 1st place in shuffleboard. We beat DB and DSIL in the first road. We ended up playing an older couple in the finals that apparently are the Florida champions and play everyday :confused3 They weren't really that good:rotfl2: Colby's prize was $7.50 at the campground store. I won $20 at the campground (can be used for camping nights) and Chris and I won $50 at the campground and $50 at the dealership that we bought our camper. So essentially we won a free weekend camping :cool1:

I booked a couple of weekends for next year using free nights that we won last year for costumes etc. and I still have gift certificates left for more nights. I love free camping

The boys didn't fare well in swimming as they didn't have age groups. Obviously the oldest kids swimming won. DB and SIL did tennis and they took 1st and second place in that. Hunter and Colby did karaoke, each by himself, and they did not win, but they had a great time. I can't believe that they wanted to get up in front of everyone...I certainly would have needed alot of liquid persuasion if I were to do it :rolleyes1

So we had a good time. We got home around 12:30 yesterday, unloaded the camper a bit then took the kids to a neighboring town for Sundaes in the park. They have lots of free ice cream and activities for the kids as well as community information booths and crafts booths. The also had a magician and juggler. It was fun, but I had to be at work at 3 PM so we had to cut it short. There was way more ice cream than I cared to eat. The Ben and Jerry's was quite yummy though.

Today I need to get the camping laundry done and pay bills. I've been putting the bills off since our trip, but I cannot prolong it any longer. Then off to work for 4 PM.

Does anyone know how I can find info on a stuffed bear?
It was my MIL's, but its not real old as it was make in Korea. The tag on one side reads
Stuffed Animal
Avlon Inc
Stroudsburg, PA. 18360

I have asked family members, but they have no idea if that used to be a toy store. I can not find anything via Google either.

Sounds like you all had fun this weekend, Deb.
