Mind, body and spirit are in alignment. I finally got my chinese food that I have only been craving for 6 months.

Thanks to the bakers to encouraged me to go with a Kitchen Aid mixer. I bought the Hamilton Beach brand and it works great for my baking needs.
Yes it took this long to use it for baking. :rolleyes1

:wizard: good luck. :wizard:

hey guess what?!
I just got a phone call for another interview!
Its anotherl ocal district..this is for a 1/2 day kindergarten--I LOVE kindergarten!
So i will be going in on monday :)

All is quiet here. My parents took the boys to the campground with them at noon. Chris and I even managed to go out for lunch. Nothing big, just Pizza Hut. It is our 16th Anniversary today so it was nice to sneak out for a few minutes. We'll head camping as soon as Chris is out of work.

Tammi I sent you the direct invite for our photopass.
Happy Anniversary! Can I get a link to your photopass too? Thanks!

Here's Pat Pat Rocket.

How cute!!!!

Well, first things first.

It's a boy!!!!

Second, the doctor looked at several things. First, they ruled out spina bifida. The spine looks perfect! There are several "markers" they look for with regards to Down's syndrome; the measurement of part of the brain, the skin fold at the neck, eye spacing, and kidneys. Everything looks good except for the kidney. Even that was not enough to make the doctor nervous. At this stage in my pregnancy, his kidneys should be measuring at no more than 4.0 cm, but Peanut's right kidney is measuring 4.1. It's what they call a soft marker. So, that, along with my age, increase my chances of having a baby with Down's syndrome by 2 percent max. I can live with those odds!

We took all the kids with us, and they thought it was wonderful! At one point, it even looked like Peanut was waving to them. Alan and I were just so relieved that all seems to be well.

Thanks for all your prayers, good thoughts and pixie dust! We appreciate it all!
:woohoo: :woohoo: What great news!!!!!pirate:

Yup! I'm excited! And because the high risk doctor ordered it, insurance has to cover it!!!! Another bonus!!!!!

After the ultrasound, we took the kids to build a bear, and they chose the cutest bear. He's white with blue spots of fur. They each got to help stuff him, and wish on a heart, and put it in the bear. They each took a turn fluffing him and brushing him, and Alan and I chose an outfit. I'll take a picture of it, as I think it's really cute! We did the "certificate" and it shows that Peanut was stuffed with love by Katie, Jacob, Leslie, Mary, Mommy and Daddy!

Alan was so giddy at that point, that he splurged and took us all out to lunch and then to Krispy Kreme for a dozen donuts! Then, it was back to Walmart (this time with lots of people keeping a hand on me at all times) to pick up some high protein snacks for me to keep on hand! What a family I have.

Jacob told me at one point, that he didn't want to let me out of his sight. He would be my protector at the store. I almost laughed as the picture of him trying to catch me during a faint just about did me in. But he was so serious!
 What a great day!

There you have it, folks, Peanut's first photo op!
How handsome!!!!

the DDA is better than family...there I said it again...and I meant it again:goodvibes

Next week is not going to be pleasant in our house.
:wizard: Hope its not too bad!

a few photos from our trip to Mount Vernon today:
Great photos!

Vicki - I have a master packing list for Summer and one for Winter. I have been working from my Summer list, but things like the laundry bag and the waterproof camera weren't on the list for whatever reason. :confused3 I just happened to remember that we had those and stuck them in the suitcase. Other things, like mousse for my hair, aren't on there either, so my mousse almost stayed home! I have a travel size one but I don't like it so I took it out of my "liquids" bag.
Don't put the camera in your checked bag.

i think i rembered someone talking about 22 cent crayons..was that a special promotion or is that all of the time at some store? if so, which store?
Thanks :)

This is at Wal-mart. I was just there today and stocked up on supplies to Stuff the Bus. I wanted to stop at Staples but did not get there. They have several things at 5 cents, and the polyvinyl 1 inch binders are 25 cents till Saturday.

Some of the things at Walmart
Crayola 24 pack crayons are 22 cents
Crayola 8 pack markers are 88 cents
2 pack small Elmer's glue sticks are 22 cents
Small bottle Elmer's glue is 22 cents
Plastic Pencil boxes are 57 cents
200 sheets of notebook paper 50 cents
Fiskar like scissors are 60 cents. I had gotten some of these several years for my Brownie troop and they were very nice
2 pocket folders are 15 cents

Glynis- Please take care of yourself. I am sure that is easier said then done with 4 kids already. Congrats on your pirate:

Theresa- You are in my thoughts and prayers. Listen to your heart I am sure it will lead you in whatever way you are meant to go whether you think it or not. Please let me know if I can do anything to help!

Lindsay- I hope work slows down soon.

Channon- I like the bag you purchased.

It's not very often I have news good enough to make people wait for!!! You're lucky I didn't wait until I got home from Mom's on Wednesday!

You never would have gotten away with that around here! ;)

Have a wonderful weekend with your mom!

Have a wonderful weekend with your mom!

I know. Someone would have tracked me down! Actually, I couldn't wait to get home to post it!

Well, Jacob and I are packed for this weekend. Katie is at a birthday party for another couple of hours. I think that I will head to bed, and wake up early to get her packed. Shouldn't take too long. So, I'm going to grab my ice pack (for my sore tushie) and head off!

Thanks for being such a great family! You guys make everyday things seem special!

Talk to y'all on Wednesday!

Well, I lied. I'm able to be back the same day! :goodvibes

Deb - I know I missed you, but happy anniversary to you and Chris! Vicki posted the link to your pics, and I look forward to looking through them.

Robyn - what an amazing cake!

Jen - fingers crossed for the job(s)!

Glynis - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! What wonderful news for your family. Have a great visit with your mom.

Jennifer - how are your princesses doing?

Elin - great pictures!

Marci - as I will be recovering from a late and very long day tomorrow, I definitely don't plan to be outside on Sunday. This weather is so miserable. We need rain so desperately - you think that little hurricane could have helped us out a bit. :sad2: Good luck with the games tomorrow, and drink lots of water! What are your dates at the Poly in Jan.?

Bernadette - I totally forgot about the PhotoPass CD! Let me know what I owe you!

Chanon - nice bag!

Elizabeth - good luck packing! I hope next week's schedule for DH isn't as bad as he's fearing. It's never fun staring one of those weeks in the face.

PSA - I just read over on the TPAS Board that Undercover Tourist has announced that they'll be raising their ticket prices on 8/3. Sources seem to believe that Disney will make an announcement on 8/1 re: a ticket increase to go into effect on 8/3.

Guess I'll be getting ready to buy Jonathan's AP voucher for our Dec. trip!

Warning-hugely long and personal post coming up. You can pass over it but I have to get it out.

Theresa I do not talk a lot about my personal life as far as Gary & I go, but your post hit home with me. This may sound strange, but there have been a few times that I have wanted to call you just to talk for a shoulder to lean on. I know I have never met you, but for some reason I have always felt you would understand. I know this post is making no sense, but I am here for you

Speaking of sad....

Did you hear that Randy Pausch died? (He's the gentlemen who did that "Last Lecture" I had mentioned months ago...he died this morning from complications from the pancreatic cancer....

for whatever reason...it has stirred up emotions from when my dad died of cancer....

I had not heard this :guilty:
