Theresa,
How did Cassidy like her Mission trip?

sorry-

we headed out to the movies....a place to be cooler than our house.

She loved it...she has talked equally about their service time and their play time.

I have been in and out...this time was a splash park.

We saw Indiana Jones...I was very disappointed in it.

ahh,
we didnt go anywhere today. My neck and back were a little sore from sitting on the berm last night at the baseball game. I did manage to do 2 loads of laundry and have one in the wash now.

I have been going over my packing list to make sure I do not forget anything.

So I got home from the wedding after midnight. It was very nice, it was Mexican themed and they had a Mariachi band which was a surprise for the bridal party.

Today I went to Urgent Care as last night I overturned my right ankle in a hole. After sitting, waiting, exams, and x-rays I have a fracture in my 5th metatarsal. I currently have a temporary splint on my right foot and crutches. I need to make an appointment to go to an orthopedic specialist.

This is going to be for awhile.

I have two and a half weeks until I leave. Let's just say my trip might be interesting. I am going come heck or high water. Now I have so many things to figure out that I have not dealt with before. Now we have to fill out the medical form and figure out Disneyland stuff. I will probably end up in a wheelchair for at least part of the trip. Not how I wanted to spend my trip.

I hope you are all having a great weekend.
Oh Becky, I'm so sorry to hear this. Hopefully it will heal fast, or at the least you can be in a walking cast. Not that you will walk all over the park but at least you would be able to walk from chair to ride.

Glynis- Is Parkvue Inn one floor or multiple floors? If it is multiple levels, is there an elevator? Just trying to figure out if I may need to request a specific level room.

Thanks!

Jennifer and Jennifer - I hope all the girls are doing better.

Robyn - great cakes, as usual.

Janet - I'm glad you decided to stay another night instead of driving back exhausted.

Jen- good luck with the interview tomorrow!

I got mixed messages from the doctor I saw, but he was not an orthopedic DR. At first he made it seem like we needed no treatment and then, he talked about surgery and other things. The DR. they wanted me to call to make an appointment is a spinal specialist. I figure that would be a waste of time to see. So I will probably be calling the DR. I had when I broke my wrist.

If I have to be in a cast, I want a Gore Tex lining. That way I can swim, shower and be in the water. I would really like a removable walker boot. We shall see what they want me to have.

I gotta tie dye and iron on shirts yet.

Today was a wasted day. I basically did nothing.

Tuesday night is my Iced tea klatch with the CEO
Wed and Thur is our Mission to Market training
Fri-Sun is the Disney Block party

What a week to have hurt myself. I have so much I am supposed to be at and do. I will only do what I can. I am not doing the Block party, I can not stand for hours at a time, plus I can not drive to get there.

I went and had my pedicure. My toes are more cranberry than I thought they might be - I was going for more of a pink. But they look nice. The salon has those "massage" chairs and I swear my back is bruised from it! When the girl started the massage function it was fine, but after about 10 minutes it felt like one of the little wheels was hitting my back funny. I wriggled around in the chair, but I couldn't really get it back to a comfortable angle. Now I have a spot on my back that is REALLY sore. Note to self: NO massage function next time! DH thinks I am exaggerating, but I will not be the least bit surprised if there is a visible bruise.

I grabbed a few groceries and that was it for my outing. No Super Target today, just the plain grocery store. The car thermometer went between 103-106, so it was definitely hot today!

Back to work tomorrow, but Princess has camp until noon.

DH said his supervisor CLAIMS there will be someone on the route with him on Tuesday to help him learn the procedures for that type of account. We'll see if that actually happens. Friday when he got to the warehouse there were no keys for the truck he was supposed to drive.:headache: It took 90 minutes to get someone to unlock the "key box" for him since the regular driver took the keys home. Calling the driver AND the driver's supervisor was pointless because both calls went to voice mail. I have little faith that there will be someone to help DH on Tuesday, but we shall see.

Mom called to say she and Diva are home from their weekend in Nebraska. Mom was able to find some pants for work at a store up there so she was excited. Kohl's doesn't have the ones she likes anymore, and she is hard to fit so I don't buy her clothes unless I know a specific brand and size. I really hope her infusion on Thursday is OK and she doesn't have horrible side effects from it. She has done so well I am worried that she may really be caught off guard if she feels sick.

When I was in college I broke one of my foot bones. The bone that runs along the outside of your foot down toward your pinky toe. I had to be put under anesthesia so they could realign the bone. If that didn't work they were planning on doing surgery. Luckily it did. I had to hobble around campus for 6 weeks, but I was able to be in a walking cast.

Elizabeth - don't they give you the controls to the chair so you can control intensity and settings? I hope you aren't in too much pain.

Well, I'm off to bed. It's back to total reality tomorrow. Goodnight!

Elizabeth-sounds like a pretty good day other than the massage chair from heck!!

My back is sooooooooo sore from seating on bleachers all day yesterday! I did take my chair, but at this park their really was not a good place to sit in it & be close to the game.

Becky sounds like you have a very busy week ahead, please try & take it easy
