Thanks guys..i know its not a big deal and that it is stupid to worry like this..but i think with everything going on with joe, things just are driving me nuts...

I was reading through my paperwork this morning..i may have a "mickey mouse like" voice for a few days..ooo geez!!!

I'm off to bed, too. Got to take the kids back to school clothes shopping. Closets have been gone through, so now we know what we need. I can't believe school starts 3 weeks from tomorrow! Where did the summer go?

Ours start 2 weeks from tomorrow or Wednesday depending on the kid. Cassidy starts band camp today. In the 23rd day we have had 90+ weather. Tomorrow we should be downright cold at 88. We only get one brand spanking new outfit for each kid....and that is done. Basic school supplies are bought. Fees paid (VERY LATE for Cassidy...hope they still can register her).

Tomorrow is the first feed the kids night. I was proud I got what should last 2 nights for 125 or so people for $280. It's very basic but I love that we can do it so cheaply.

I really don't think you are going to feel too badly, Jen. It is a pretty straightforward procedure. But if you want to text me, feel free. My cell # is still the same.

your Arch pictures bring back memories.....when Jonathan was in 8th grade I was part of a group of 5 that supervised 50 kids on a Springfield St. Louis trip...I will never forget going up in that darn Arch...for some reason...all 5 of us adults go into one car...as you said it is cramped...rickety & dark...at one point in the dark I heard a muffled cry from one of the fathers, "Dear Lord, get me out of here"

That was my last long trip that I did as a chaperon!!

Good morning DDA! So I'm home today because apparently Cinderella was "running a fever and 'getting sick'" so MomBoss stayed home with her today. She said she'd call today, but hasn't done so the other times she said she would (sent a text at 8:30 last night about today) I think I'm going to call around lunchtime to check in with her.

Marci, he is in Seagoville. Any clue where that is?

DS and Princess are playing with Play Doh, but she has been getting on his last nerve all day. I think she is actually pretty funny, but that just makes DS more irritated.

Ah -- Seagoville is about 10 minutes closer to you than Crandall...still on 175. I hope he doesn't get that area again -- it's not one of the safer ones, in my opinion.

Hi guys-
I need some prayers...As I was online earlier, myb rother called and asked for mom--i knew something was wrong so i got mom and we found out Joe had been in a motorcycle accident. He was driving to the firehouse and a car swerved in his lane and was headed right towards him. He had to choose to get hit by the car or go towards to grass and dump his bike. So he went for the grass and there was a big ditch. Joe was knocked unconcious for a bit and we headed to the hospital around 1130..he is still there, my dad and I just came home for ab it and we are headed back. As of now, they think his shoulder and jaw may be broken. Im pretty much freaking out and i know how strong DDA prayer is...thanks

I'm so sorry. I'm glad he's doing better. Good luck on the interview, and more PD sent for your surgery and for a quick recovery. You'll do fine. Enjoy all the icecream without guilt!

Hello, DDA! We are home! We had a fantastic, wonderful, words-can't-describe-it FAMILY trip! Now I have a ton of unpacking, laundry, grocery shopping, etc. to get done.

And...I leave in less than 12 days for DISNEY! There is no way I'll ever be ready. I am planning a trip to see my parents for a few days next week for my father's birthday.

I look forward to catching up with you, but that is going to need to wait for a day or so.

I'm glad you had fun! The pics were great.

It took almost all day long, but we just got home with Bob's new car. He is happier than a penguin in an ice flow! And I have NO idea where that came from.

Congrats to him!

We leave late Tuesday afternoon, so no rushing early in the morning lol

Thank you all for the birthday wishes! It was a very quick trip, but lots of fun. The Atlantis is gorgeous, and the boys loved digging in the sand, going down the slides and lazy river, and staring at the tanks of fish, sharks, manta rays etc.

Learn from my mistake -- don't go out of the country for four days, as one and a half of them are spent waiting on international flights, and standing in lines for customs, immigration etc.

Thank you for the reminder! I have never done this before, after the boys use their tickets do I just upgrade them at guest services after we leave the park?

Yes. I bought a 7 day ticket from undercover tourist at a discount for Emma and used it our first day and then upgraded it to an AP the next day at the park we went to that day. They gave me the full current gate value of the ticket toward the upgrade. You've got 14 days from first use to upgrade but with a 1 day ticket I would probably feel better upgrading it the same day.

Our internet was running really slow yesterday, so I did not get on to much. Gary & I went & bought a few more things for the kitchen last night & I bought another piece of luggage Today I will finish packing up the kitchen & for our trip. We leave tomorrow Seems like we have been waiting forever & now it is almost here. Garrett & Riley are so excited & I really have butterflies in my tummy now!

Congrats on the new luggage! You're going to Disney tomorrow!!!!

I have lots going on today, wihch is good because I dont want to just sit and be a bum . Im starting to get really nervous about the surgery tomorrow so i think its best to stay busy today. stupid surgery hahaha

I am going to quiz you about the family suites when you get back (or while you are there! ) I am looking at this for next summer if we go. I like the 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms...it wasn't an issue when the kids were younger but now it is....also after doing the cruise & seeing how great it was to have our own room really made me give the suites a good look.

I read a rumor that part of CBR might be suites but now I do not see anything on that at the new pirate themed rooms so I guess not. That would have been cool.

I am so excited to be trying them out! I'm sure I'll be telling you all about them at lunch or waiting for the cruise.

I don't have time to write up a trip report, but I thought I'd share a couple of photos from our first 2 days.

Yes, if you don't use them they will only give you what you paid for them but if you use them they give you current value. Unfortunately most of the 1 day tickets I've had I have used toward the renewal of my AP so I can't use them first. Now that you can get DDP with and AP without purchasing a park pass I don't think I'll have too many "extra" one day tickets.
