DDA Chapter 10

I never knew you could go to the top of the arch. That sounds and looks like something we'd love to do.

That was a very wise decision. I hope you feel better very quickly. It seems that swimmer's ear is running rampant. My niece just had it and one of my co workers currently has one. No fun there.

The top of the Arch is definitely something I would recommend if you don't have too many problems with height or small, enclosed spaces. If you look at the one photo of the top of the Arch, you can see the little windows that you can look out of.

I haven't had swimmer's ear since I was in middle school. Ouch! The weird thing is that I really haven't been in a pool that recently. Maybe it just took a little while to get a hold in there.

There are no White Castle, Chic-fil-a or Sonic around here either. We did have Sonic while in Orlando last month though. There is a sonic in the SuperWalmart near WDW. The food was good and the price was amazing compared to WDW :rotfl:

I get to be home for a whole 2 hours today :cool1: My Mother decided that she needed to test drive the Toyota Highlander again before she could be certain that it was the car she wants to buy. I picked it up at the dealership before taking the boys to swimming. I stayed at the pool while Colby and Logan had lessons then Mom joined us and we went to the local "city" for a test drive. She did decide to buy the car though and signed the paperwork. She can pick it up either Wednesday or Thursday. I also ended up with Summer and Logan today as Amy is working perdiem today and Dad was supposed to babysit, but he got called into work unexpectedly. We had lunch with Mom then came home. I have to be at work at 4 PM so we are heading to Mom's house shortly. I think these next 2 weeks will be busy to say the least.

Jen relax and rest up for your surgery tomorrow. :wizard:

Janet Have a great trip. I'm glad you are all packed and excited to go. You will have such a great time. Enjoy every minute :thumbsup2

The luggage I bought holds a little more than I thought! So now I will only be checking 2 pieces of luggage :thumbsup2 I have packed everything we need into our carry on for our 1st night & next day. I will pack a few snack items in the bag you got for me. I think we are good to go :yay:

I just have a few more things to check off my packing list & I am done :woohoo:

:yay: I hope the :dance3: of you have a TERRIFIC time, Janet!

I cannot find the boys lanyards or extra trading pins. I have looked everywhere. I know where they were when we packed up the living room, but that is not where they are now :confused3

It really frustrates me, but I amt not stressing over them anymore. So I guess no pin trading this trip :sad2:

Can someone help me? I had Janet send the DDA info list to 2 different emails and the attachments won't open.

I have yahoo and my private email at ptd.net through Internet Explorer. The yahoo just comes through blank and when I click on the paperclip for ptd.net, it reads...

This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Option Control Panel.

I wish I could sew those cute little outfits....of course no way could I get any of them to wear them...I think they have even graduated out of the whole matching t shirt thing as well..."maybe" I could get them to do it for a day or so....

Thanks! Think you'll take up sewing? Just think of all the cute stuff you could make!!!!

Nah... I looked into it briefly, but I don't really think I'd enjoy it, and it's not like it would save any money or anything. I'll just keep admiring other people's work from afar. Besides, I have too many things I'm behind on to take up a new hobby!

We definitely don't have any Sonics near here. The closest one to us is 126.7 miles away in Palmyra, PA. We did have a shake, and it was delicious. My favorites, though, were the fruit juice slushes. I've never heard of Krystal...guess I'll have to find one of those somewhere now. We also went to Culver's on the trip which I hadn't heard of until someone here mentioned it a few weeks ago. We live in a kind of "backwards" area, but even Buffalo and Syracuse don't have Sonic or Chick-fil-A.

I mentioned Culvers, maybe it was me! :) It's my substitute for a "concrete" from Ted Drewes, which is definitely only in St. Louis! I don't really care for their food at all, but my family loves it!

I've never eaten Krystal, but from the billboards, etc I've seen it looks like it has to be owned by the same folks as White Castle. I've never taken the time to find out, though.

Sonic food isn't my favorite, but I love a lot of their frozen "stuff" - the slushes are good!

Kristine, you aren't typing your countdown, are you?! Did you find another?

:rotfl2:Just kidding...I bought a little ticker editor program....you people know how I LOOOVE gadgety stuff...this fits right in.

Beth,
Nice pictures so far.

Jen - I would be nervous too! I know that it will go well and come winter you ought to be healthier! :thumbsup2
P.S. how was the interview?

Tomorrow is the first feed the kids night. I was proud I got what should last 2 nights for 125 or so people for $280. It's very basic but I love that we can do it so cheaply.
What did you decide to feed them?

good luck on the interview and you will be fine tomorrow....ice cream will be your friend!!
I remember my aunt having hers out at 30 something and Popsicle, jello and ice cream were her friends

Here's Joe's shirt for Chef Mickey's-the yellow is actually very bright-he won't get lost in this.

Here's a cool little dress for Emma and top for Lizzy. These were super quick to make.

Here's Lizzy's Pooh hat:

And Joe's hat in progress. I need to make a label for the inside "if lost please call....." as he has already lost several hats at Disney. I bought the patches on my May 2006 trip. I'll use the red with black Mickey head fabric for the lining.

Bernadette I love them all especially the hats.

Were you able to click on something?

:rotfl2:Just kidding...I bought a little ticker editor program....you people know how I LOOOVE gadgety stuff...this fits right in.

If you right click the countdown, Jennifer, it will bring up the properties of said ticker. But, as Kristine says... it is $20 to purchase!
