I told her since she received Disney dollars, the tooth fairy must know Tinkerbell. She looked at me shocked and said, "What do you mean?" I said, "Well, they're both fairies...." She was just beaming! And this is a child who knows that the characters are people in costumes. :rotfl: It was truly priceless!

She's busy thinking up ways to spend it on our trip next month. I think she has decided to put it towards a princess hat. princess: She has other Disney dollars she's been saving, so we shouldn't have to make up too much of the difference. :)

How sweet and what a great idea. I may have to do the Disney Dollar next year when we take the kids, as long as one loses a tooth lol

My daughter is 23 years old now and still remembers and talks about losing her first tooth at WDW in the POC ride... :cool1: She put her tooth under her pillow that night and she was so excited the tooth fairy knew where WDW was....lol

Awww, great story! Thanks for sharing. It's great to be able to do things like that for them when they're yound and still believe. :wizard:

Wow -- DD5 only started losing her baby teeth within the last year. I can't imagine losing them while still a toddler.

ETA: Ah! I just read the OP's sig. Now I see -- DD1 is the 1st daughter who is 6 years old, not DD who is 1 years old. :guilty: My mistake -- in my world DD5 is our DD who is 5 years old.

Well, did you know that Tinkerbell will also "sub" for the Tooth Fairy? DD lost her first tooth at the Studios. We had just come off the Great Movie Ride, when DH had to use the men's room. While we were waiting, I asked to wiggle her tooth, and it popped right out! We almost lost it! That night, Tinkerbell came instead of the Tooth Fairy (because we were near her "house" anyway), and left 10 Disney Dollars.

This past May, about a week before our trip, DD lost another tooth. Tinkerbell came and left 5 Disney Dollars, some Pixie Dust, and a note. Tink told DD that the Tooth Fairy knew we were leaving soon for WDW. She thought it would be a good idea if Tink would visit DD and leave Disney Dollars again, and of course, Tink agreed. DD loved it, and has insisted we keep the Pixie Dust in her Tooth Fairy box. :cloud9:

Awwww, that is so cute! We were hoping Emily would lose her tooth while we were at WDW a couple of weeks ago, but it just didn't turn out that way. Oh well, she's got a lot of teeth left to lose. :rotfl:

That is so precious! I will definitely keep this in mind just in case she loses any teeth at WDW!!! Thanks for sharing! :)

Am I doing it wrong??? :confused3 It wouldn't surprise me. :rotfl:

My 21 year old DD lost her very first tooth at Disney World. We were at Epcot waiting for Illuminations to start when it came out. And... she literally lost it. But the tooth fairy came anyway.

Oh geez -- please don't follow my lead. I've been wrong so many times that I'm rather surprised myself when I do get things right -- especially out here.

DS 7 lost a tooth in line at typhoon lagoon last week. Everyone told him how lucky he was as you get more money at Disney than you do at home :confused3 What's a mom to do. Here they get $2 per tooth, but the toothfairy left him $5 disney dollars down there. DH said if he knew that we would have started pulling some. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Our tooth fairy leaves Disney Dollars, too! Fun. FYI, yes, usually the number after "DD" is the age...No biggie. Have a grat trip with your kiddos. I can't wait to see what mine spend their Disney Dollars on, too.

Enjoy!

Our twin daughter's BOTH lost a tooth on the same trip a couple of years ago. They got their first tooth within 2 days of each other and started losing them 2 days apart. They each got 5 Disney dollars and a note from Tink. We usually give them the Sacagawea gold dollars. Which they have saved every one. Being the little pack rats they are they saved the Disney Dollars instead of spending them. Nine years old now and the baby teeth are in short supply.
