DD#2 made it into the GT program!!

Well I can put away my "paranoid anxious mom" mode for a while--DD#2 got her results from her testing and made it into our local GT program for next year! She squeaked in under the wire with her cognitive test score (she already had a passing Iowa). If you remember my post earlier in the week you know she had her little heart set on it and I was stressing as well on her behalf, so we are glad that the news is good!

that's great!!! Our school only requires one of the tests scores
be in the range. Also, they place kids on the edge if they have
space. Teachers can recommend students who don't come close
too. Not everyone tests well. Congrats!

Gifted and Talented. I think every district calls it something different--where I went to school it was the honors program, and I've seen it called LEAP as well. The one DD#2 will be in is EXCELS, then it becomes BEACON in Jr. High. Where I work the kids just call it GT.
