Hello all!
I have decided after much deep thought that i am going to try my best to get into the Disney college program for the spring 2014 semester. I have been given the OK by my professors and given some forms from my international adviser; however, she has never dealt with the program, and is unsure as to how to go about it .
I am here on an F-1 student visa in my fourth year of university. As far as we can tell, i need to apply for an OPT or optional practical training. I meet every requirement, except for perhaps one. It states that the job or internship you are offered must be related to your major. Mine is computer science
I would argue personally that every large company these days runs off of vast databases and networks, and that working for such a company will prepare me for working in an IT capacity with such companies in the future, but i'm not sure if that's "Enough"
I was wondering if any of you guys have done the college program in my situation, that is, an international student attending school in the states. I mean , disney advertises that we can do it on their websites, and even offers us "trial" social security numbers so we can apply.
What do you guys think? I want very much to be a part of this program, and feel that i would be a great, hard working employee if given the chance to apply.
Thank you in advance for any responses
