I was on DCL website today trying to plan a little impromptu trip for me and DH when I was reminded at how difficult it can be sometimes to get a quote on the DCL website. I would like to make a few recommendation to DCL at improving thier website.

1 - when I have filled in my info and then decide to check the box to get my quote without airfare - don't delete all the stuff I just typed in.

2 - make an option to shop dy dates. It is difficult to get a price when your travel is limited to a specific week but don't know if it is a Western Carribean, Eastern Carribean, Eastern Carribean with Tortola, Eastern Carribean w/ St Croix. :confused3

3 - Why can't it remember my basic information while I am logged on like other sites. If I try to check another cruise/another date - I have to start all over and retype everything again. Of course, I always goof something up, like the year, and have to start yet all over yet again.

Thank you for anyone who maybe listening. :) :)

I always go to alaskaaircruises.com to price it out easier and quicker, then if you see something you want, you can hop over to DCL and book it. It also shows the real price of the cruise without insurance/transfers auto added on like DCL.

Grrrrrrrrrr! These issues are IRRITATING! And #1 is definitely my #1 issue. So frustrating! Hopefully they will listen and get these minor bugs worked out.

I think that DCL has one of the worst websites that I have ever seen in terms of user experience! I am completely shocked that Disney would allow its name to be associated with such an abysmal excuse for a booking tool. Just my opinion, but I am glad that it is not just me who is frustrated by it!

YES!!! Points 1 and 2 irritated me as well!

I've had numerous issues with the site. But the most annoying one for me was I when I wanted to book for Nov of 2009. And for the life of me I couldn't find the cruise that I wanted. I knew I wanted the magic, for a 7 days cruise the first week in Nov. I tried every combo, eastern, western, you name it, and i couldn't find it. Why? Because it actually left on Oct 31st so it did not come up on any searches for Nov cruises.

Oh, #1 is my hugest pet peeve. I stopped using the search box on the home page for that very reason. Annoying!

But #2 isn't a problem. You just need to use the "Advanced Cruise Search" at the bottom of the page (disneycruise.reservations.disney.go.com/dcl/en_US/reserve/reservation). I just select all the cruise types and then enter the dates I want to go.

But the site is in desperate need of an overhaul. I should probably let them know that my kid brother does websites pretty cheap... :lmao:

Fully agree, and

Stagger the release of cruises, cruise by cruise, day by day not all the same minute and also again for Palo and Shore trips, stagger the release different days, maybe Palo as you pay in full, not at 105/90/75 days.

Couldn't have said it better myself!:headache:

Athough I have learn one way to get around the "without airfare" thing. You just act like you have airfare and later in the quote process you can decline airfare.

Also this is a problem is not isolated to just cruiseline. It is true with the other Disney booking systems. If you choose anything other than the package option - Room and Tickets, it will clear everything you have inputted so far.

Thanks for the tip about advance cruise options DizCruzLuv
