Hi All
Just looking for quick but of advice before I contact member services. I have had to cancel 3 WDW trips this year due to COVID and am now booked to go in February 2021 as I will have 92 points which expires end March as I have April use year. We come from overseas and no travel allowed to USA and if this is still the case in February I will have to cancel again. So my few questions are

1. I know if I cancel this trip it will be too late to bank points as this must be done in November so I assume they go to holding but still must be used by end of March? Am I correct in my thoughts here.
2. My main concern is not to lose 92 points and renting is near impossible at the minute and also fact we are international makes it a bit harder
3. We plan on doing a Disney Cruise in Europe next October so if my trip is cancelled in February could I then use points which are due to expire/holding to book cruise in October.

hope that all makes sense. I know using points for DCL is not good use of points but rather that then lose them

Yes, if you cancel after banking they still expire. If you cancel less than 31 days out then, they expire at end of UY and can only be booked 60 days or less from check in..unless they continue to waive it. But, given a Feb trip with an April IY, holding really won’t come into play that much.

No, you won’t be able to extend the life of points for an Oct 2021 cruise. They only way to extend is a deposit to RCI.

Make sure you call if you're thinking about canceling you have have options outside the norm in this situation.
