Hello! We are Plat and have not been on DCL in several years. This time, it’s my wife and I so we decided to take DCL transfers from MCO to Port Canaveral which we have not done

There is not a lot of info … does anyone know….

- Luggage used to be collected by Disney at baggage claim - is this still the case?

- Even though we have transfers, we still had to select a PAT - the earliest was 1pm and were assigned boarding group 18. We arrive at the the airport at 9:30. Seems like we will be sitting in the terminal at the Port for several hours?

Thanks!

There is no luggage collection anymore. You will need to retrieve your bags after your flight lands and bring g them to the DCL transfers location. From there, DCL will take your bags and load them on a truck; you'll see them again onboard. So keep your carry-ons with you.

At the port you'll be allowed into the terminal, se unity, check-in etc. But yes you will wait to board. Boarding at Port Canaveral typically starts around 11:30am. By 12:30 or so the crowds have boarded and "open boarding" is called - meaning you no longer need to wait for your number.

You could kill time by getting something to eat at the airport. Or I suggest keep checking for an earlier PAT to become available. Unfortunately, the Platinum boarding perk has not yet returned.

What time does DCL usually start shuttling guests from MCO on embarkation day? I have an 11:30am PAT (Boarding group 6)
