DCL Transfers ---day of

Hello,
I was just reading the thread about the transfers for those staying the night before.....

We are flying in the day of, and pretty early (we will arrive at 9:44am) do we get our own luggage, or does someone else get it for us, I am a little uncomfortable with leaving it in someone else's hands.

Also, where do we find the DCL rep? This has been bugging me for a few days now....will we just see someone walking around with a big DCL sign? LOL

Stacey, if you have transfers included in your cruise and are flying in the day you embark on your cruise here's what you need to do:

1) Put your DCL luggage tags on BEFORE you check in at your originating airport. DCL reps will pick up your bags from baggage claim in Orlando and transport them directly to your stateroom.

2) Look for one of the MANY DCL reps in the aiport as you exit the gate area. You can't miss them, they are all over the place on ship departure days, and they wear bright blue jackets. Now that access at the gates is restricted you'll find them in the central hub areas prior to going to baggage claim.

Exanding on WebmasterMichelle's response, you'll need to take a shuttle train from the airside terminal to the main terminal. After exiting the train you'll exit the secure area of the airport. Once you're on the outside of the secure area, you'll see the DCL reps.

So I should pretty much stop worrying and know it will all work out huh? LOL

So there have been no claims of them not picking up all the luggage or anything like that???

How about that early in the morning, I wasn't sure because I thought they didn't start to board the busses until later so I didn't know if someone would be there....

The reps are there bright and early on cruise embarkation days, don't worry. You can also have your flight information NOTED on your DCL reservation, so they know when you're coming in. Just call DCL or your travel agent if you used one and they will be happy to add it for you.

As a matter of a fact I was going over my cruise documents (again) and I did notice that it had the flight #'s and times listed, so my TA must have done that for me already......
