Lots of empty rooms this Summer so things must not be that great.Which I completely understand. But Disney has the leverage here. If they're not ready to release, they're not ready to release. The first possible sailing is over 13 months away. They've got time. Some people will inevitably move on (for a multitude of reasons), which is totally their choice. But my point is that there will always be someone else to take that spot. People have been saying for years that "Disney will lose customers if this..." and "Disney will learn that they can only push their customers so far if that...". It never happens. Attendance is up. People still book Disney.

Yes Im aware of that I booked the Iceland cruise with an interline rate, but they generally only offer those discounts on cruises that have not sold. Its not their goal to offer deep discounts. Other cruiselines do the same, but the interline rates on Carnival or Royal are no where near the percentage off that Dcl has to do.We'll see. In my experience, they generally fill up. Some people just don't book that far in advance. I have lots of clients who wait as long as they can to see if they can get good airfare first. I know there are several sailings this summer with limited categories available (i.e. restricted, concierge only, etc). Worst case scenario is that they give the rooms to Cast Members, Florida Residents or Travel Agents at a discount. But they've already sold a large percentage of staterooms at full price, and they still fill the leftover rooms with paying guests. But I could be wrong...time will tell!

It's probably obvious -- but what is an interline rate? Do you mean a sale on the internet? Thanks.

I think if dcls prices were more reasonable they wouldnt have to offer these. An interline rate on carnival is like 10.00 off the reg price. I never saw interline rates on dcl three years ago. Its only since the huge price increases have I seen them. That's awesome! Love saving money!

Do you work for Disney.Hmmm...I'm not so sure about that. I've been doing this for awhile and they've offered them as far back as I can remember. In fact, here's a thread from this board from 2012 where people are discussing booking Interline rates on DCL even earlier than 2012! http://www.disboards.com/threads/interline-rates-and-castaway-club.2984187/

Honestly Im paying double for an inside room 11b than I was for a balcony on the Vista. Im only doing this for my son who really wants to go to Iceland, and I promised him last year we do it if they discounted this cruise.Im disappointed we're not on the 10 day vista med cruise. At this point Im pretty over Dcl pricing interline rate or not. Ive been a very good Dcl customer, but I was disappointed in our last cruise, and Im really starting to question the value.Nope! I'm a travel agent. I've got my real name in my signature ~ not trying to hide anything! You just responded to me with a statement that I didn't think was 100% accurate, so I responded back. I'm just having a conversation on a thread I thought was interesting! I honestly was trying to be friendly when I said it was awesome that you got a good deal. I'm not a snarky person, I promise!![]()
