Hi! I bought the 2006 scrapbook onboard DCL (12 X 12) but can't expand it. It does have the posts (screws); however, the spine wont allow you to expand. There is not any extra material to expand it. A few of my fellow scrapbookers looked at it and said that I would have to reinvent the spine with something else. Anyone heard of this before?

Thanks!

Hmmmmm, I'll go look at mine. I didn't try to expand it yet, because I'm so far behind I haven't even checked it...

I'll let you know....

Nope, mine is the same. Can't expand. What's up with that? :confused3

DUH, this must have been designed by some non scrappy man!

My last one expanded, so this is just a huge design flaw! I never thought to look at it, because I didn't have any problem with the other one... Honestly, I will still get the album kit. I like the Cruise Line specific things that come in it...

I am working on my 12 x 12 DCL 2006 album now. I am realizing that the album is not closing properly as I took too many photos! I would love to hear what I can do to expand this album...

I don't have this particular album, but I have taken the spine piece out of other albums completely. It doesn't look as nice from the side but you can expand it however you'd like.

You can use a piece of stiffened fabric(iron-on innerfacing) in the same or a coordinating color. Make it the same length as the current one (after you remove it) but make it wider to fit and make holes for the posts. It's really not hard and there are even some cute nautical or Disney fabrics that would look great.

I bought the Disney Christmas album and am having the same issue. I just went ahead and removed the spine and added posts until I am through adding pages. I plan to cover some chipboard with mod podge and pretty Disney paper in the same color scheme as the cover, score it and add holes and then add it to the album. I hope it works!
