DCL rep said Magical Express started already - is that true?

I thought that it was supposed to start in May, but I just got off the phone with cruiseline rep who said that it actually started in January. Does anyone know this for sure?

I think you can start to make a reservation in January but the actual pick up and drop off isn't until May.

My friend is going April 30- May 7th and she couldn't get the magical express with her package. I don't think it starts until May 5th

The start date is May 5th, the 'official' beginning of the 50th Anniversary Celebration.

I just made a rez for September and they offered it to me, but I didn't have my airline yet, so I declined for the moment. I'm still not 100% sure if I want to try it. Even though it's free, I've never been a huge fan of Mear's and I'm curious to see how long it takes you to actually get to your hotel, as there are usually many stops at the various hotels.

I'm thinking I'll stick with the TownCar.

Disney Cruise Line "DCL" does offer transfers from airport to ship. This is kind of different from Magical Express. I think people who posted earlier didn't pay attention to the DCL Rep in your subject line.

***The bus service for (DCL) cruise guests has been in place for awhile now.

Isteadman, I understand what you're saying. But, I actually called DCL to inquire about the regular cruise transfers, after which the rep started talking about the Magical Express and it being free from the airport to select WDW hotels. I told her that it was supposed to start in May and she said that it actually started in January. That's why I'm so confused.
