I'm not seeing anything to click on?
I loved the last photo though, it's now my new desktop! :thumbsup2

You are so talented! Do you do this for a living?

You are so kind. No, I'm a propellerhead by day. Everybody needs a creative outlet though.

I've tried a lot of different image stitching software and keep going back to the one that came with my Canon camera.

Almost every picture except the formals - the ones with set backgrounds - have digital frames now. Almost all of the photos, except candids, are now in 8x10 size. Candids would mean those taken around the pools, at Castaway Cay on the beach, around the ship randomly. I only bought two 6x8. I bought 10 8x10s and we certainly did not stand in every line, nor did we do every picture that was available.

All pirate night photos and all restaurant photos have digital frames too.

I also do not like it.

They even put a digital little imprint into the lifestyle photos now too. I don't have a scanner or I would show this to you all.

So now none of the pictures with the characters are 6x8s? They use to have many of these available...princesses, Mickey, etc. I don't mind the borders...they are cute enough...but the 8x10 will mean that we wont be purchasing very many of them anymore. :( I can get the same shots with my own camera.

Try downloading IRFanview from www.irfanview.com , and use the image, resize feature to shrink the photo down to a smaller size for uploading.

I guess DCL cruisers don't like live chat? I don't know. I've been leaving the chat window open for a bit while browsing the forums, and a few people have dropped in. They leave pretty quickly though without saying anything for some reason. :confused3 I thought more people would like to chat about cruising, but maybe it's just a bad time right now?

You can change your name on the chat window to make your Disboard user name. You just type in stuff in the white window below to chat.

We have cruise chat every Friday night at 9 pm EST here on the DIS. :)

I wonder if they are getting geared up to do a photo CD similar to the Photopass at WDW. It would cut down on paper costs and maybe viewing stations in shutters. Would be an interesting method of increasing the number of cabins who participate in bulk picture buying.

I hope so. Personally I don't like 8x10 photos. I prefer the 6x8 and was even disappointed when the formals were only in 8x10's to begin with. :sad2:

WOW! Wow! WOW! I didn't much of a chance to look at the model when we were in the terminal, so thanks for taking the time to put that together. WOW! It was fun to look for stuff, finding the restaurants, the theaters, etc.

Wow !! Great work, rtphokie !! you really took some amazing shots ! :woohoo:

Thank you so much for sharing ! :thanks:

I just must show them to my DH, he still has a bit time to learn to work with the software before we sail in august 2007...

Have you got any tips for a begining 'stretch-fotographer' ? how many pics would you like to take to work with for example ?

Thanks a lot !

Dont forget to click through

on our 4 day Wonder cruise last week, 1 took over 1000 photos. This might be a solution to having so many pictures and not knowing what to do with them all.

If your camera has a panoramic assist mode, use it. Many canon cameras do. If not, pick some fixed point, preferrable something vertical (like a tree or building, or lightpole) and put in the right 1/3 of the image, pan your camera to the right and put that same point in the left 1/3 of the image. Repeat.

Try to keep the camera as level as possible when shooting for panoramas. If you've got a tripod, use it. If not, find something stable like a table or railing and use that. You'd be surprised the quality of the panoramas you can get even with a low quality camera. I took a panorma standing on the steps of St. Peters Basilica in Rome of Saint Peter's Square with low quality digital camera (1/3 of a megapixel) that came out great. Just take your time. These are photos that you cant go back an reshoot anytime soon.

You'll need at least 4 frames to do a decent panorama, the wide the area you want to cover, the more frames you'll need. Dont move the camera too little though. All that overlap can confuse the stitching software. Give the software a chance to find the overlap points automatically, then manually adjust where necessary. Sometimes it just doesn't work even when you've done things perfectly.

Have fun!

Hey Tig...

Loved the pic of Marco!!! We have had three servers in Palo...and up there 10 times...Marco is our favorite! He has taken care of us at least four times and always makes sure we take food back to the kids!

See ya!

I see that there is new construction next to the Atlantis Resort. Does anyone know what it is?
