DCL picture of the day Part 2

Almost every picture except the formals - the ones with set backgrounds - have digital frames now. Almost all of the photos, except candids, are now in 8x10 size. Candids would mean those taken around the pools, at Castaway Cay on the beach, around the ship randomly. I only bought two 6x8. I bought 10 8x10s and we certainly did not stand in every line, nor did we do every picture that was available.

All pirate night photos and all restaurant photos have digital frames too.

I also do not like it.

They even put a digital little imprint into the lifestyle photos now too. I don't have a scanner or I would show this to you all.

I also dislike the boarders they put on photos. I suspect it's to prevent people from making copies of the photos, to push the Disney brand a bit more and an attempt to make the photos "special" to warrent the high cost. It's a shame when a really good photo gets ruined by this garbage.

They try to put these stuff on photos at the mall for Santa photos. I ask that it be removed before purchasing it. I wonder if the folks at shutters would be willing to reprint photos without the borders. If enough people complain, it will change.

I have scanned in the photos and removed the borders when I wanted a picture for scrapbooking. The borders are kind of neat at times, but I wish there was a choice. That will help me keep my photo bill down on the next cruises though!

When you took it, did you know that the ornaments were "ears"? This shot makes me feel as if I was standing in the terminal. I can almost hear the chatter and feel the excitement!

Try downloading IRFanview from www.irfanview.com , and use the image, resize feature to shrink the photo down to a smaller size for uploading.

I guess DCL cruisers don't like live chat? I don't know. I've been leaving the chat window open for a bit while browsing the forums, and a few people have dropped in. They leave pretty quickly though without saying anything for some reason. I thought more people would like to chat about cruising, but maybe it's just a bad time right now?

You can change your name on the chat window to make your Disboard user name. You just type in stuff in the white window below to chat.
