We haven't received an email notification yet for the contest either. We got our other email about the OBC much later than everyone else too so I'm hoping our confirmation is coming soon.

I premade most of my dips, made the blue jello with Swedish Fish, Worms in the Dirt and cut up a ton of fruit, veggies, etc to make things easier tomorrow.

I also printed off lots of coloring pages from the disneycruiseline . com
Castaway Cay link. I made booklets out of them and bought new packs of crayons to add to the arts/craft table for kids.

I just looked at the official rules for the sweepstakes and they've already changed them to the rules for Guests and Family. Says it lasts until February 16th!

Hi everyone,
Well I got my box and had no bandanas, no OBC, no tattoos, no DCL decal and hmmm there was something else missing but cant remember

I can go get some bandanas and some tatoos but not the decals or the $50 bucks...on the bright side my DVD played great

It is almost 7PM and I am going shopping with a long food list. I am only having 12 girls a couple could not make it. My house is decorated and ready to go. My DVD that I made are ready and my friends cant wait.

I still have to plan the games although I do have the itenerary all made up.

GOOD LUCK to you all on the sweepsstakes...hope one of us here on this board wins it that would be soooooo great!!!!!

I will touch back tomorrow. SILLYANDI....have lots of fun

yes, the rules for the new sweepstakes are already up, no email confirmation on the first one. Recieved our package today, no DVD or CD, wrenkled posters, and no limited edition print. Not real impressed so far!!!!!!

The decal was hidden within the coloring pages, check it out - you might find it - also - the OBC isn't a paper or anything.. it's just a code, and from what I gather a generic one.. All you have to do is call with it, that is what I am gathering from the other posts..

I can't believe you didn't get the bandanas.... knowing the way all this is going - they probably ran out - UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...

Question for those having more than 5 kids at the

What are you doing with the Mickey/Goofy ears? How do you prevent tears? What is everyone doing with the large Plush?

We celebrated our first Pirate Party this past summer so we have decided to hold the Mickey Ears until our Second Annual Pirate Party next summer. This way, no-one will fight over them but rather we will have a raffle for the "Ears" except I'm keeping a pair for myself because I'm wearing them right now.

As far as the plush Mickey goes, we are going to hold a raffle and who evers number is drawn will "win" the plush Mickey. I think that is the fairest way to do this since we have over 35 people coming to the party.

Any ideas on how to convert the Konk Cooler recipe to a pitcher/punch bowl sized recipe?

Walmart had a drink pitcher like the kind you would have in your fridge for water and I am multiplying the drink recipe so that it will fill the pitcher. Since it has a pour "valve" at the bottom, adult guests can fill their glass with one of the 3 varieties we will be serving at our Disney Cruise House Party.

Does anyone have an opinion about using the grape jelly and chili sauce recipe for chicken wings instead of meatballs? I asked earlier but I think it got lost in the melee back there.

BTW received my package, actually not as disappointed as I expected (it was torn to shreds so I feared the worst). It is actually not a bad package-if it were all for the host or something. I can't figure out how to divide it but I thought of a partial solution. I called my TA and explained the problem (lack of "marketing type" giveaways) She was more than willing to assist. She is going to make up her own little bags of Disney promo stuff ASAP AND is offering all of my guests $150 shipboard credit for booking with her. I am picking it up tomorrow. So now I can give all the other stuff as raffle prizes and not worry about having 10 empty DCL bags to send my kids school lunches in!

I purchased a package of Swedish meatballs at BJs today and had to quadruple the recipe since it was a 40 oz. bag of meatballs. I know someone who used this same recipe for wings and they were awesome! Go for it!

Well, we were about to toss the goodie bags -- and then discovered they make excellent DECORATIONS! We stuck a Disney plush or small blow up beach ball into each one so that the item is sticking out of the top. We scattered the bags all around -- and voila - we have nice DCL logo stuff with fun decor everywhere.

When we stopped complaining and got focused, we actually had some fun. Worth $300 and all of the frustration? We shall see!

Have an awesome party everyone. The collective energy across the country is kind of neat. It's sort of a "happening" that's cool to be a part of.

I will check to see if it is in there and thanks for letting me know about the OBC. As for the Bandannas no biggie. I just got back from the store and when all is said and done for all food, decorations, plates, alcohol, prizes and such it will have cost us around $550 ...lots of money for a $50 OBC

To bad you have to buy in bulk. We don't keep Alcohol in our house so that came to about $15 for that. So $350+ for the rest. With the price of stuff these days I got alot. If I win the cruise than it will be all worth it

So still have a few odds and ends to take care of tomorrow and am going to make the Rum cake right know and the cucumber salsa and a few others to get out of the way. Will also have a Melon Martini while I'm at it

I'm downloading pictures as we speak!
Konk Kooler Keg size- 1 750ml bottle dark rum 1 1/2 750ml bottles light rum, 1 1 ltr bottle pina cola mixer, 1 ltr passionfruit mixer, 1- half gallon orange juice and a lot of ice. This was enough to fill our margarita ball and it is now completely empty!

Here is the basic play by play- Everyone arrived by 7:30 - at which time I blew the horn and we set sail. We took pics of everyone as they came in-as families. We had the kids set up downstairs in the Oceaneer's area with Xbox, Dance Dance Revolution and dancin' to Disney Tunes. The adults were upstairs in "serenity Bay" with the goofy kid dvd playing on the big TV. We had planned on being outside but it's pouring here.
We ate (the grape/chili wings were the hit of the party BTW) then had all the kids come up to actually view the video. We all watched it, then we watched the slide show of our last trip.
After all that and LOTS of questions from guests-we had a trivia quiz that I made up from the video as we watched it (where do the kids go for fun, what's the name of the restaurant that comes alive, etc). We gave out the disney points for correct answer and also for those who dressed up. We had them write their names on the backs of their points then we put them all into a raffle basket. We raffled off ALL of the stuff we received (except the OBC ) along with a few things I picked up at the Disney warehouse- POTC travel mugs, t-shirts, hats, etc. There was enough that every family got at least one thing.
Then I gave each family one of the goodie bags, STUFFED with things that my TA had given me to make up for the lack of stuff form Disney and at least 4 families were going to call the TA on Monday. I can't believe how easy it was!
So now everyone is gone, my drunk husband is talking too much and I can't concentrate and I hear the spa calling (there is nothing better then cold rain falling while you sit in the hot water with your konk Kooler in hand!)
