I emailed too and cannot believe the changes in the goodies! We need to stick together and voice our opinions.

If someone wants to draft a letter and gather names to add to the signature, I'm more than willing to give my information to the coordinator.
 
Ya know, the latest package said something like "points" to keep track, could that be the disney dollars??!! Maybe they don't want the really great packages intercepted??!!:confused3 Just TRYING to optimistic too, Disney really "bowed" out.

Just one more thing,.... they said we would get the package 2 weeks prior to the party, by the time it arrives, its only one week.

Maybe they are CLOTH napkins folded into orchids, and a waiter from Palo is going to pop out of the box and place them in our guests laps. :wizard:

evan if we did not get all that info on what was in the package originally...this package is ridiculous. who sends 12 napkins :rotfl2: I am wondering if it is a misprint and is suppose to be 120 :confused3

And your right about the date of shipment. they will go out on the 16th on a Wed. So we will not get till Monday ot Tuesday due to the weekend and Party is that Saturday.
I say Bah humbug!

so what can we do to try to make this more DC like? is there a DCL store that we can order things...could use a towel or two as a gift ....needs to be a DCL towel.
 
There's something truly insulting about this package. I just can't get over the 12 napkins. :sad2:

PLEASE - EVERYONE - POST A COMMENT ON THE PARTY CENTRAL BLOG. It's probably our best shot of waking up the folks at DCL.

As of right now, we're seriously thinking about canceling our party.
 
Perhaps we should send DCL a link to this thread.

I know we went into this initially with no knowledge of what would be coming -- but the party package that was first described to us seemed great! I was going to use the $50 OBC certificates as bingo/raffle prizes if there weren't enough for everyone.

And honestly -- it's not like they were giving us $500 worth of certificates. A party guest would have to book a cruise before using the cert. So what was the point of taking it away? :confused3

I know you found it but for others, it is a rotating image to the left of the us map that shows the party locations. Stay on that page a minute and you will get the option.

(I had trouble finding it at first too)
 
This is good news. I'm hopeful that the surprise host package will be better than we expect. Annmarie
 
Did I do this right, in order to enter, follow the link and all you do is accept the rules and upload a picture. It never led me anywhere to put in my name. I guess when you log in it enters your name???
 
Everyone here loves DCL and this is sort of an insult. I'm sure everyone is spending a good bit to introduce people to something they love only to find out that we aren't even getting 1 napkin per person!

with all the napkins and plastic glasses and Disney confetti etc that they use each cruise they could have sent something better than what is listed. The onboard credit was a nice incentive to get someone to book and considering the price $50 is nothing.

I hope DCL responds to this. I wonder if anyone will back out of doing a party now. I have to find our DVD from the last time we booked, I had planned to show the new one and any old brochures we have. I have some lanyards we had not used and a few cups etc to go with the 12 napkins for prizes. I wonder if DCL will respond to anyone.
I saw they had mentioned the party in the Castaway news letter, please post if anyone hears from them
 
I have the lipstick jungle party as well and everytime I try and enter the sweepstakes, when it asks me to log in, it brings me to the LJ party page.

I have considered backing out....a few people coming have been on many DCL and have future planned. I am embarrassed for Disney and Myself. I happen to have a planning DVD because I ordered it as I booked my May cruise, and just before I saw the link to this party ON THE DISNEY SITE...which was the only reason I signed up!! Don't get me wrong, SOMEthing is better than NOTHING, but the stuff they are sending is for 4 yr olds.
