Hey guys.....the blog for the package is GONE!! Now they started on for the Sweepstakes.
 
When i enter the contest it brings me to upload pictures.. Thats it does that mean I am entered, I have uploaded pictures already??
 

Did I do this right, in order to enter, follow the link and all you do is accept the rules and upload a picture. It never led me anywhere to put in my name. I guess when you log in it enters your name???

I hope we will get an email confirming our sweepstakes entry.

Also, if you read the Official Rules, the photo upload is "optional". I did it anyway, although I had already uploaded a bunch of pics to my party site.

As far as the Party Package blog disappearing -- maybe they are re-thinking the contents. :rolleyes1
 
I blog on the DCL page how disappointing the new package was, I am thinking about not having the party, I do not now how I am going to make DCL so special with not even enough stuff for the kids I invited. I am so disappointed..

I think they don't want any negative feedback. But I went on the old party package blog on main page near bottom and edited mine. My first sentence reads, where is the list, I need to make adjustments for my guests!
Don't hold your breath please waiting for an email confirmation!! Hey....thats what I'll write on that blog!!!
 
I uploaded my pictures to a new album but hope we get a confirmation email too. Annmarie
 
Y'all are doing better than me--I can't even get the House party site to load this morning!

Just read the past few pages--I haven't been on my house party site or this thread in a week so I didn't know all this was going on! It really is disappointing. I think I've been procrastinating because I've read what all everybody is doing and I wasn't doing all that much. I'm having problems getting people to RSVP and the people I know are coming, well, most of them would love to go but could never afford a Disney cruise. And most have also been shown cruise pictures and heard about it 'ti they probably don't want to hear it anymore! So I was just planning a simple party with friends and cruise food and cruise pictures everywhere and my bunch dressed in our DCL clothes and a video of "Disney Dreams" playing but I didn't really have any games or favors planned as I just couldn't see the hubbies coming sitting around playing Disney games. Oh! Which begs a question--are most of you inviting whole families? I had one friend disappointed it wasn't just girls, but I thought it would be easier to get folks here if kids and hubbies were invited and her response was "well, he's not going to come for a party like THAT" or some such nonsense. Oh, well, his loss. Back to the party--I live in a rural area with no Dollar Tree, no Disney store, no place that sells H2O products so was just going to make up cute bags with what they sent so this new (to me) news about the bags is pretty disappointing. I did want people to be glad they came and I didn't want to be embarrassed about throwing such a "strange" (to my people around here, anyway) party!
 
I think that I am going to make copies of the Island music to give out. I will have my DD who is somewhat artistic draw on the cd's with paint pens. At least I feel I have done something!!!
 
Upon opening my mail this morning I was supprised at the change in party material, right about now Walt Disney is spinning in his grave.

Walt started Disneyland because there were no parks that 1. were kept clean and 2. didn't rip off the guest.

In our little town we have been business owners for the past 34 years and have a good reputation so when picked as a Disney Party Host, my 1st stop was a local restaurant to secure a nice place for the party. The owners of the restaurant thought that it was such a good idea to have a party like that so they donated a room for us to use.

If you walked into my shop you would know how much I love Disney Cruises, So when we started contacting friends and telling about the party, the prizes they could win, the on board credit if they booked at the party, told them to bring the kids and so on, they became as excited as I was.

Now I am not so sure that I want to look so stupid for falling for this deal, my oldest daughter who is the other half of our host team put in a request to get off from work early for that day, I called her this morning and told her about the t-shirt decal, any other changes to the guest items, we are going to staple the iron on to a wall on the other side of my office (10' X 12') and have a race, whoever gets there first gets to iron the decal on a shirt they have to buy and the runner up of the contest has to take a photo of the napkins and run down to Wal-Mart and get a dozen copies so we don't look like fools to our guest.
 
Go ahead and have the party! Talk about the cruises you've been on or the ones you are going to take!
When we didn't know about the prizes we were just excited to be picked! Get that excitement back! Truthfully I could care a less if we get the party package I'm just so excited to get together with my family and friends to talk about DCL that I think we may want to do this every year!
If you don't have a lot of stuff in your home town order online! I found a bunch of things on sale at the Disney store, and other stores that carry Disney items. If you only have a few things have a raffle!
Get your guests excited! I told my guests to wear tropical or Disney attire, I've told them the type of food we are going to serve, I've hinted to the types of gifts I am going to raffle etc...

I have them confirmed, now I need to have them to confirm online! I will be sending out another email on Monday to remind them to confirm with a new message and all the info on the party in the invitation and a reminder that even though they RSVP'd with me over the phone to RSVP online.
On Jan 21 I will email another invite with the directions, don't forget a contact number in your invites, and how much I'm looking forward to seeing them at the party! A little overboard maybe, but if you aren't excited about your party your guests won't be either. I've gotten a few, oh we aren't into disney, I just say, "Then just come and enjoy the company and food, it's cold, it's Jan what else are you doing?!:)

Just FYI, you can rsvp for them on line but than they aren't in the raffle is my understanding.

I couldn't RSVP for my guests if I tried. It never worked. I have had more guests have trouble registering on that site. I emailed them several times, in the end they never got back to me with a solution. I finally deleted all of my guests who were having trouble, then started again. I am hoping this helps them get their information straightened out. :confused3

Sorry to hear that. It was not easy for me to find at first. I am guessing yours isn't working right but for anyone else trying, go the guest manager tab; click on the gray minus sign next to the person's email and than you will get a drop down menu that will let you rsvp.

I like the idea off copying the CD--since I had mentioned the credit etc, at least the will get something to take home.

Marshall's is the store that sells the H2O products, they said they carry it regularly.
