DCL & Marriott reward points

Just found out today i can use my Marriott points towards a Disney cruise or get Marriott points for booking with Cruises Only.
I can get $1000 off for 145,000 points, $$ amounts increase with more points, or earn 6000 points for a balcony cabin.

$1000 off is pretty good, I think.

Anyone ever do this ?

Can I ask how did you hear about using Marriott points for cruises? Is Cruises Only affiliated with Marriott? I have about 350K Marriott points I've been saving for a trip to Hawaii someday, but maybe another cruises.....We are booked on the May 29th Dream and can't wait.

It was on the Marriott website today, it is kinda new and yes it is only with CruisesOnly.. there is a special phone number on the Marriott site different from the regular CruisesOnly#.
It was under Member Exclusives

They told me you have to pay with points at time of booking, not at final payment. If you have not made your final payment Cruisesonly can transfer the booking to them and you can use points. if you have other promos like on board credit with original booking you would loose it unless CruisesOnly is offering the same promo.
You can pay as little as $250 with points up to full amount of cruise depending on how many Marriott points you have.

You can do almost any cruise line also.
Almost sounds to good to be true, i also will have almost 200,000 Marriott points for a cruise in November on the Magic we wanted to do.
makes the cruise almost half off..
