Warm weather has finally arrived in Florida and it's about time - it was a long cold winter. Sorry folks in the north but you actually have jackets that can keep you warm when the temperature falls to freezing -not so for us Floridians. So glad it is finally warm.

You are so right!! I am so ready for spring.

The weather in MI has been terrific the last 5 days. It's been in the upper 70's.

Today it about 60 with expected severe thunderstorms.

KY too. We have had great weather but storms are going to come in tonight and cool us down to the low 70'a which is perfect!!! Our trees and flowers are blooming and it is starting to look like spring.

Hello,
I've been reading other Forums on Cruising and came across a Fish Extender--exchange?? Has anyone ever participated in this during a cruise? It sounded like fun...

I have done it once. It was fun. I really stressed out over what to get. I don't have a creative bone in my body so it was hard.

So if you are creative and have room in your luggage it is a lot of fun, esp for the kids.

Ugh, I never even thought about room in luggage...maybe not this cruise
Thanks for the info!

I think it sounds good too!--Rick's a good packer--I'll let him figure it out how to pack it in the luggage for the way home:rotfl: In Disney speak, I didn't know it was called a FE...I've so much to learn and plan and so little time:surfweb:

Hi fellow Klondikers...I have done the FE exchange before. We participated on the WBPC in May 08. It was an extremely large group, so much so we did teams for each day of the cruise. The team I was on pooled together and had dry erase boards made. I also did some thing on a smaller level on my own too. It's great to get back to your cabin and find a surprise waiting for you.

We have done FE, too. It is a lot of fun to find different things ever time you go back to the cabin.

We will be in. I was thinking about ordering a knew one. I left the old one in the closet and the dog ate the dowel rods out of it.

Our family will be in for FE's as well. Lots of fun and definitely won't be the amount we had on the EB REPO. That was insane. Great fun finding little treats when we come back to the cabin.

Oh I'm so excited about the FE! :woohoo:
After working all day, this was a great thing to come home to and get excited about! Can't wait to start talking and planning.

Hi everyone!

After a lot of research, we are thinking about taking Amtrak both ways to Vancouver. We have a friend that works for Amtrak. He came over and pitched and answered all of our questions.
It is comparable to airfare. The down side is it is 50 hours one way. We thought it would be a great way to see the country. We would get a sleeper since it is two nights on the train.

Matt would like us to fly into Vancouver and take the train home. We are thinking about stopping and spending at night or two on the way home at Glacier N.P.

Maria- this might be an option for you to take the train from LA to Vancouver.
You get off along the way. (prearranged)

Taking the train sounds great. A word of caution though. I heard that the frequency of the train between Seattle and Vancouver was on a trial period. To determine if it warranted the frequency - so there is a possibility of the scheduling changing.

We plan on arriving on Monday. Thanks.

Our friend has the dates we would like to travel. He will let us know as soon *** they are available to book.

Welcome aboard, Jen and family. My DD will be 15 and my DS will be 16 at the cruise date.

Lucky you getting to do the EB TA. It's on my someday list when we don't have to worry about school.

We would love to do a TA, too. But, don't want to take the kids out of school for that long....
