"DCL Klondike Kruisers" - August 23, 2011 PART 2

Back now from our 8 days at WDW and can now focus on the cruise. All of the sudden it seems so close. Lots to do between now and then.

Welcome back do you have pictures to share?:rolleyes1

:wave2:Glad to hear you had a good vacation! You've been quite quiet...doing ok?
:)k

We are doing well. Things were a little crazy before we left for the Dream...but now we are back and can't wait to plan for Alaska...but I also have to get Shari ready for sleep-away camp. Time just goes so fast.

Just checking in.

Progress has been made.

All hotels are booked in Seattle.

Rental cars in Ketchikan are booked
Harley motorcycle bikes are booked in Ketchikan.

Now I need to finish plotting a route(s) for Ketchikan.

Next stop.....Skagway.

Juneau we are going to walk around town and take the blue bus to Mendehall Glacier park

No doubt we will be stopping at EFFY to get our free pendant. lol

Getting more and more excited.

Camp already? When does she get out of school?

Our ship leaves tomorrow from LA to start it's trip north:banana::banana::banana:

The Wonder is here on Monday :cool1::cool1::cool1:. Will post pics once I'm home from seeing it leave. DH and I are going down to watch it come in and then go to work. We'll take the kids down later to watch it leave and then most likely head down to Barb's for some fish 'n chips or something like that.

The local Chamber of Commerce is one of my clients. They were ordering a plaque today to present to the Captain.

Also, it's been officially announced that the Wonder is coming here for drydock in September.

Morning all. I have been watching the wedding and it ws beautiful. I wish the best for them!!! We are heading to WDW tomorrow. I am packed and ready to go.:dance3:

Good Morning. I guess I was more excited about the Wonder coming into SF then the royal wedding. I just posted 7 pics of her coming into SF as she went under the Golden Gate Bridge on our group page on FB.

Sad thing is I'm trying to figure out when tea is on our next trip right now. We've decided now to do the F&W festival this year for about 1/3 the cost of the Alaska cruise. Vancouver will have to wait until later.

So, last week of October we'll be down there for 4-5 days. Just sayin'.

Awesome! We'll have to meet up one day :thumbsup2

Sarah and her fella are on the Dream right now, I am so jealous! Would you believe we did no cruise planning while she was here? lol....FAIL!

We did, however, do lots of shopping. Good sales at Gap and Kohls over the weekend, got some nice stuff for the cruise. Still have a little more to go. Camera stuff, new hiking boots, some new semi-formal wear....trying to plan suitcase contents ahead of time to maximize space. I wonder how many times I will pre-pack before then....:rolleyes1

Loved the pictures!

She doesn't get out till the third week of June....but she is going to sleep-away camp for 6 weeks for the first time. There is so much stuff I need to get her.

Then I need to start thinking about what to pack for Alaska. I have no idea.:confused3 I finally think I know how to pack for warm weather cruises. Now I have to change it up.

Where are you staying pre and post cruise? Still need to figure out our logistics for that.

I can't wait to see your pictures!!!

Susan - I hear you. Mine aren't going to sleep away camp but time is moving so fast that I barely have time to keep up. I had to shop for shorts and summer clothes for them while in Arizona. Tomorrow is May and I don't have one weekend free and lets not even talk about June. I won't be figuring out clothes for Alaska until August. I know I should plan better but since Jim and I are dieting (yes, I said Jim - I"m so proud of him) we're going to need all new clothes (hopefully), so we won't be able to shop much before. Hopefully by then you guys will have figured everything out and can give us advice.

Hope all is well.

I know I can't believe how fast this year went...Good luck with your dieting...did you join something or are you doing it on your own.

Before we went to Florida in February I had to buy Shari all new shorts...it was crazy...nothing fit. We are really busy too on the weekends...we were hoping to have everyone over before Shari leaves for camp...Do you have any weekend days free in June? What's your schedule like Lori?

Hoping to upgrade to a 5b....after having a verrandah on the Dream I kind of would like one especially reading people's reviews of Alaskan cruises that they like to watch the scenery and wildlife from their cabin. We shall see. I told Rick that would be a nice mother's day present.:goodvibes

Good luck Mindy!!! I'll email you Susan about our availability! I think I need a whole new wardrobe for this trip!
