Hi All, So we're going on the WB Transatlantic cruise then doing a couple of weeks at WDW. I'm booking WDW through a TA, not through DCL.
Should I use DCL ground transport ($130 I think) or rent a car? Any other options? I think it's about 3.5 hours drive?
Any tip's, pro's or con's would be appreciated!:goodvibes

Call me confused. DCL docks at Port Canaveral in FL which is a 45 -60 min drive to WDW. They only dock in Ft. Lauderdale when there is weather issues preventing them at docking at Port Canaveral. I've done both the DCL transport and rented a car. Renting a car will be much cheaper and you could likely keep it for your entire time in WDW if you want to. Two weeks on property with no car, I'd go nuts!!!!!!

You should be coming into port at Port Canaveral NOT Port Everglades. It is your call on using DCL busses or rental car. If you need the car for the time at WDW then you could rent it when you get back otherwise you can just take the bus. WDW has a great internal transportation system. If you choose a town car, the car will be waiting at the pier for you to arrive and take you away. You don't have to wait for a bus to fill and luggage to be loaded. It will cost you roughly about the same (one way) as the DCL transfers. The ride from Port Canaveral to WDW will only be about 45-60 minutes.

There are onsite locations to rent you a car for a couple days if you want to explore. They will pick you up and drop you off.

You can then use the included service of Magical Express to return to MCO for your return flight. No rental car hassles.

Some of the town car service companies are:

Happy Limo
FL Tours
Southern Elegance
Tiffany Town Car

OK, that's why I was shocked when I looked at Google Maps! Of Course it's Port Canaveral, I knew that! Duh!
Thanks Guys!:goodvibes
