DCL Coordinator

Has anyone used Rufaro Mwaruta? Is he any good? I just got my packet saying that he is my coordinator.

Rufaro is actually a woman! I thought the same thing when I got my packet..she is WONDERFUL!! I can not say enough about her..I was afraid I was making her crazy (we were doing a B2B, so I saw her several days before our VR) with all my requests.
She managed to get me a tour of the Palo Room so I could look it over and went down to storage to get my flowers the day of the 2nd sailing so I could see them just MOMENTS before she had to report to the fire drill..she was RUNNING..I love her!!
Tell her Elizabeth and Rick Donahue said "WE LOVE YOU!!"

oh..call her "Roofy"..that is what they all call her..I swear I can't remember how to say her name...I think it is Roo-fa-roo..but I called her Roofy

I was such in a hurry to post her praises, I forgot..she had another wedding one hour before us, but if she hadn't told me that, I never would have known..she brought my Palo flowers early so I could arrange them and take them to Palo..then when my scissors wouldn't cut them, she ran to get me a set and rubber bands so they would stay together in the vase (we had loose flowers delivered to the ship to decorate the Palo Room ) all while she was attending the other bride..poor Roofy..LOL..i really had her running!!

What time was your ceremony and how long did everything last? I will tell her you said Hi. I am so embarrassed that I assumed she was male by her name. Did they meet all your expectations?

our ceremony was at 5:30pm in Nassau..we had a Palo dinner booked in the palo room right afterward..she was so kind and funny..i wish I could have spent more time with her at the VR, but she was behind the scenes making everything work without effort

All I had to do was call guest services and ask for her..she would pop out and help me with anything!! I hope you remember our names..we just did it on July 25th and we were a pretty large group

I am trying to remember so other special moments...she did arrange a bridge tour for us after I requested it..but I think that is a decision the captain made..she just was the go between

She took us to meet with Adam the pianist who played a song we requested off sheet music I brought..I could go on and on..

On the last day of the first cruise there was a HUGE line at Guest services with people trying to pay their onboard accts and I needed to give her something..I went over to the phone next to guest services and called her up..she came right out..never seemed to think it was a burden or anything..

I was so happy with her, when I forgot to drop my comment card after the cruise, I contacted DCL to find out how to send it in because I had praised her so much, I wanted her to get credit!!

When did you get the sheet music to the pianist? How do you know if they can play a song from sheet music for you or not?

I discover the song "the luckiest" by ben folds about 30 days before our VR..i sent the sheet music to cathy and she forwarded it to the ship..Adam was onboard at the time but they do something like 3 month turns..i also had it burned to a cd as the vocal and instrumental in case he didn't get to play from the music
anyway, when I got to the ship..Roofy had the music and I had an extra copy..i brought it to him one night in the Cadillac lounge before his set and he played it right then...he laughed when I said I didn't know if he would be able to play it or not...apparently..he is a VERY VERY well trained pianist!!

We have not picked music out yet to dance too. I was hoping to do an elvis song but was not a hundred percent sure as to what we wanted to do.
