DCL 25% off for Canadians!

I knew you would figure it out Minnie ;) Are you going to be attending the World Explorer event next month?

My 2 Princesses, it doesn't take as many aeroplan miles as some might think to put towards a cruise , and you get the bonus of earning miles for every cruise purchased to put towards future flights, a lovely land package with Air Canada Vacations or another cruise :)

With ECSC our company is a preferred partner with Disney and we have some awesome amenities and bonuses for a number of Disney cruises, especially for Alaska of 2011, a few Mexico and Caribbean itinearies. Maybe some of the other agents here can share some of the specials their agencies have for DCL? I know it is a more expensive vacation option compared to others so it is always nice to find a way to save money or get some kind of bonus for this incredible product. I can certainly understand pricing a Walt Disney World package against a cruise to see which is less expensive, but the two products are very different from one another and magical in very unique ways :) While a cruise could cost more, the value and features of a DCL cruise far outweigh the cost, and the memories and experience do last long after the cruise is over :)

When I read your post, it made me laugh. After I submitted my post you are quoting and read it over, I thought to myself I sound like some nutty TA :)

No Minnie, I won't be attending it. I went last year, and it just isn't my market. I'm a contemporary brands and land based travel gal and that is what I excel at :) If it is your market though and you think you are going to have some luck with the promo during October, it would be worth going.

I have been to sooo many...I really don't think I can sit through another. So I always decide last minute. Likely this time around I won't either...;)

Does anyone know the history of discounts for Canadians on DCL? I know there is the current 25% off for Jan/Feb 2011 7d Caribbean, and there had been 25% off for 3/4/5 day Bahamas earlier in 2010. How about before that?

We have made a booking for Jan 2011, with the discount, but we are not absolutely decided and so may consider something similar for Jan/Feb of 2012, but of course we don't know that a similar offer will be made again, offering a nice 25% discount. Curious if this kind of offer has been done before. I know that the free dining offer for WDW has become somewhat standard, along with the PINs that many people get, but not sure if there is such a "pattern" for DCL discounts.
