DC on Monday....where to find shade?

Please tell me where we should head to set up a spot in the shade on Monday. The elite packages (meaning cabanas) were all booked when we tried to get one. I think my children will like the grand reef or freshwater oasis most....is there shade beside either of those spots? I have a red head and fair skinned family. . There are 4 of us.

PrincessP, I am late to the party.....we just got home from our vacation at 1:45 am on Monday morning .

I know you would have had no problem finding a nice shady spot in the location of your choice. Love all the beach loungers and umbrellas that are scatted around the park!

Gina....I thought about you and the fact you were on vacation last week! I hope it was fabulous. Can't wait for report.

When we arrived at DC yesterday.....guess what? They had a cabana available so we were able to get the elite pkg!! Woohoo! They knew my hubby had been calling each day and said one had become available that day. So our celebration pkg. became elite. It was as close to perfect as it could have been.....

Off to aquatica today....will tell you more about DC later.
