Dazed, Crazed & Just a Little Confused Live Trip Report

Good to hear a review about the Wishes dessert. I kinda wanted to do it next time I went but I think maybe buying something at the bakery and standing for free will be just as good :rotfl:

Today we had another great day, although I will tell you the crowds grated on my nerves. MK was packed. But let me back up, today we got up at 5 am so we could head over to the Polynesian for a fishing excursion. The trip itself was 2 hours long and we stopped at 3 different fishing spots. Within 5 minutes Jackie caught the first fish! Soon after Chris and Kirsten each caught some. Our boat caught 15 total! Guess how many I caught…yep you guessed it, NONE!! We had a great time and I would recommend this activity….Kevin our guide was great!

Then it was off to Magic Kingdom where there was a ton of people. Lots of rides had hefty wait times. We enjoyed Hall of Presidents, this was the 1st time we have seen it since Obama became president. They did a good job. We rode: Space Mountain, Carousel of Progress, Stitch broke done as we were getting on. (Frankly I wasn’t mad) & Haunted Mansion. Lunch was at Columbia Harbour House….and it was pretty good as counter service restaurants go. I was amazed at the number of tour groups out at MK. If I see one more red t-shirt I may just explode!! After lunch we hit: Big Thunder, Splash, Pirates & Jungle Cruise. At this point we were beat.

Soon we head out to Flying Fish, so more to come soon.

Glad you had fun on the excursion - though I have to say I'm not tempted by ether the fish or the 5am wake up call! Did you eat your own fish at the restaurant last night? ;)

Not good that the parks are getting busy - but you still got a lot done and I'm not surprised you were all tired after that early start!

We've never tried the Harbour House for lunch I might just add it to our list...

Keep it up with the tweets and the reports - I'm getting more excited by the day :yay:

Popping on over from your Twitter Report. Sounds like you guys are having a blast, the Dessert Party looks awesome, I so hope they extend it to all of next year!

Looking forward to hearing/reading about Flying Fish :)

Sadly Flying Fish was not as good as last time. This was quite disappointing to us as it was one of our favorites. The overall atmosphere was very rushed. The biggest downer was the one of the steaks was cooked so incorrectly that we had to send it back, which took 35 minutes for a new one, which by then the rest of the group was done eating. Oh well!

Crap. I hope FF is not the next to circle the drain. :guilty: We love to eat there. But Anthony Bourdain was saying when you love a place and tell your friends you are contributing to killing the place you love. Once the word gets out that a place is fabulous it seems to go down the slippery slope. We'll be there in 11 days - hope they were just having an off night, but I hate that you guys didn't enjoy it.

Was it crowded? Our ADR is fairly early, so maybe that will help.

hi! I just found your TR! Question: how were the wait times for Space Mountain? We will be there next week and are afarid with it just reopening the waits will be crazy! Thanks!

We also ate lunch at Columbia Harbour House yesterday, around noon. What a difference a week makes as far as crowds go...even Small World had a 30 minute wait at 1 p.m.

I hope the crowds aren't too bothersome for you as your trip continues and Happy Thanksgiving!

We're home now. :(

At 10 am it was 30 minutes...by 10:15 it jumped to 60! After Thanksgiving you should be fine.

It was at 6 pm...wasn't terribly crowded...just was not as good as last time.

I'm sorry FF wasn't up to snuff. We loved it there in August.

Yesterday we went to Blizzard Beach.I was worried because the weather forecast was rain and isolated thunderstorms. We got there at opening and it was ominous looking.....but it never rained and ended up quite sunny!! :):) The weather forecast kept the crowds away....and it was extremely light. We had a good time...but all of us agreed that we liked Typhoon Lagoon better. We stayed about 4 hours.

Dinner tonight was at Beaches & Cream....Bill has been looking forward to his "No Way Jose" for months!

Beach Club had their Christmas decorations up and they were quite pretty. They also had a little house where the kids could decorate a gingerbread man. Kirsten got a kick out of this.

At 9pm we met another family at the Contemporary and took a wishes cruise together. It was excellent as always

Bad news....we are checking out of Animal Kingdom Concierge....good news is that we are headed to BWV and Jonathan is joining us!!

Glad your day went well! One of these days we will go to a water park. Really. We will.

Sad to leave AKL/V. :sad2: Hopefully you will get a good location at BWV.

YAY for Jonathan joining you! :yay:

Tell Jackie I give the No Way Jose a :thumbsup2 too!

We are opposite...we liked BB better than TL. I hope your move to BWV goes smoothly. YAY for Jonathan!

So we checked out of AKV today...I will definitely miss concierge. The staff was great! Overall a fabulous stay.

We went over to BWV at 11 am.....and of course the room wasn't ready, so it was off to DTD. We rode the Characters in Flight Balloon. I am glad we tried it....but not sure of the 5 minute ride was really worth the money...no one was overly impressed.

After the balloon we ate at Planet Hollywood. Service was good...no wait to be seated. Food was fine...not fabulous.....and not bad.

Our room wasn't ready til 3:50...I know it is not guaranteed til 4 pm...but it still felt like a long time.

The room is ok....location wise it's good, fairly close to the elevator, so I am glad with Bill'd knees that it's closeby. The room is in DEFINITE need of rehab though. It just frankly seems run down. Another annoying thing is that the carpet was wet! They must have shampooed the rugs....cause it was really wet!

Jonathan arrived safely and it was great to see him.

For dinner we ate at Kouzinna....hmmmmm.....what do I think? Well, it seems like I have the same theme throughout today's post....I am glad we tried it...but I have no need to go back. It was not really bad or good...but OK. It was really loud though.

Tomorrow we are off to Universal Studios....horrible weather is coming. Forecast of 2 inches of rain and thunderstorms...this will be interesting!!

I hope the rain doesn't dampen your trip too much! Too bad you didn't get one of the renovated rooms at BWVs.

Yesterday we spent about 9 hours at Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure.......the weather was horrendous! Talk about rain, my god it was rough. Our shoes are still wet!!

Despite the rain....we had a good time. We rode every ride except Rip Ride Rocket which was closed. We used the Front of the Line passes so we had virtually no wait on any ride.
