We were in Florida this weekend and stopped at Daytona USA. We had been there before and road the tram for the track tour.

When we were in line this time waiting for the tour the drivers said Dan's chair would not fit. They remove a set of seats and have a ramp for the front car. We had ridden it before so insisted he would fit!

They kept saying it was impossible but opted to let us try--
They were sure that Dan would not fit!
Boy were they surprised when Dan drove up the ramp and was able to turn his chair and fit without a problem!

As major NASCAR fans my DS and DH enjoy looking at the track and I'd hate to have others miss this opportunity when in fact they could get power chairs on the tram! Ned our serivce dog thought it was an interesting ride too!

Thanks for the report and glad to hear they did finally let your DH try.
I know that things often look much tighter for onlookers than for the driver of a wheelchair. We went out shopping this weekend and there were several stores where I was quite sure my DD's power wheelchair would not fit in the aisle. Guess who was right (and it wasn't the non-driver).
