Are there days that are better then others. We're doing WDW and Universal this year (Universal newbies!). We are planning on Monday and Tuesday at Universal, do you think this is a good plan?

Monday and Tuesday would be fine...Tuesday and Wednesday would be better. ;)

i stay on site and don't have a concern on which days are in the park except when it is extremely crowded.
it is the restaurants, counter service, restrooms that bother me when crowds are there.

i do find that tuesday, wednesday, thursday to have the less crowds.

mondays are not good if they follow a holiday weekend.

Okay, USO experts...is this advice still good for Thanksgiving week?? We're arriving Saturday nite, so I'm thinking to try and get to Universal as early in the week as possible (like Sun, Mon, Tues). I'm assuming the closer to the holiday, and after, will get crazy!! Opinions???

the days prior to turkey day should be fine.

i can't say how the thursday will be but the days after that will be hectic in the parks.

peeps love those 4 day vacations......

check the calendar to see what hour the parks will open for the holiday period.
sometimes they open an hour early.

be at the park prior to opening, do all you can before the crowds begin.
usually, crowds tend to form around 11ish in the day.

you can cover a lot of ground before then.

when the single lines open, use them.
it is not easy to talk to others while on some of the rides so it shouldn't be a problem for you and the fam.

if you are driving to the parks, be at the garage before it is to open.
saves you precious time waiting to be parked.
it is better to be in the front of that line and sit then be in the way back of the line sitting there.

go and have fun!!

don't fret about the days preceding thanksgiving day.
in the past years, they have not been bad.

check the costs of the epp's for those days.
if the prices are low, that is an indicator of low crowd days.

Thanks for the advice macraven!! So far, the epp prices are at $19.99, so I'm assuming they are anticipating low crowds (good thing, cuz with 5 of us, I didn't really want to try and budget another $100/day for epp's) Noticed your location, just wondering if you fly out of MKE??? We usually fly Midway, but got a great deal from Mitchell, so I hope it's as easy as it looks on the website!!

i fly out of mitchell when the prices beat what is out there for ohare.
i'm about 35 minutes drive to either airport.
midway is too far for me even with sw fares.
but, mitchell has sw now. woot!

get to the parks before it opens, do everything you can before you consider buying the epp for 5 peeps.

$19.99 is the cheapest epp they have.
it means you won't have crowds in the park that day.

do check that site out before you go to the parks as the epp can increase or decrease.......

it's a complete dream to use mke...!!!

easy to get to and out of .......i love this airport.

super nice employees at that airport.

The crowd calendar for Disney now says:

7 for Th. Nov. 4th
2 for F. Nov 5th.

It looks like NJ is out of school both days, and everyone on the Harry Potter crowd thread seems to indicate that Friday is worse than Thursday...

So even though Disney is supposed to be MUCH MORE crowded Thursday, I'm thinking we should do WWHP on Thursday.

Packed to the gills sure isn't sounding fun though...

What would you choose, Th. or Friday?

hey I'm heading to Florida the week after Thanksgiving and was wondering what the crowds would be like at US, I have 3 sons, 11, 8 and a young 5 year old (some special needs). would it be worth going or should I just stick with DHS? I was thinking of just one day for US and the rest (5) at WDW? Any suggestions on which day and if I should even bother (have never been to US)
any info would be appreciated. Brand new to DISboards

As a general rule:

Sundays are less busy than Fridays/Saturdays
Mondays are busier than Sundays
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are about equal
Fridays are about equal to Mondays
Saturdays are the busiest

This is for non-holiday weeks.
